Talking(Hangeng/Leeteuk)
Lee has written more! She's hoping this isn't rather boring, which she thinks it might be a bit. She didn't mean for it to be so.. .kinda boring. Anyways, sorry if it is, and Lee hopes you do enjoy it! <3
Theme is 'That Girl'
--------------------------------------------------------------
"You know, that girl's pretty hot," Hangeng said, looking over at Leeteuk. He and several others were on a mission: to get Leeteuk to go out with a girl. For some reason the leader had seemed a bit distant lately, and almost a little depressed. Also, Heechul had boasted that he could get Leeteuk a girl before any of them, so of course Siwon had to challenge him. And Hangeng was not going to pass up on the amount of money that would be granted to he who emerged victorious.
"What?" Leeteuk turned to him. "Nah, not really." He sighed, looking the other way. Hangeng stared at him, then the girl. He thought she was, but not Leeteuk, it seemed.
"Why not?" Hangeng asked absent-mindedly, trying not to seem too pushy.
"You can only see the back of her anyways," Leeteuk protested.
"But--but she's still. . .from what you can see. . ." Hangeng drifted off, still staring. Leeteuk stared too, not really seeing it.
"You perv." He said. Hangeng shook his head and turned to him. Leeteuk looked kind of sad, not looking at him.
"Are you alright, Hyung?" Hangeng said abruptly. Leeteuk glanced at him, surprised for a moment, then gave a smile. It looked fake.
"I'm fine. Just tired." The words fell flat.
"It seems like you've been tired for a while." Hangeng said quietly. Leeteuk looked at him a little longer.
"I guess so." He said. The waitress came with their drinks. Leeteuk smiled at her then turned his head to stare out the front of the cafe they were sitting by. People walked by, several staring at him as though they knew him somewhere. He turned his head away again.
"Hyung?" Hangeng asked, sipping his coffee. Leeteuk didn't reply. Hangeng said his name one more time and he looked up, snapping out of whatever thought he'd been so deeply immersed in.
"I've just been thinking too much lately. That's all, really. I guess I need to lighten up a bit, huh?" He attempted to smile.
"Stop trying to keep it all to yourself--that's what we're here for. Just because you're the leader doesn't mean you have to keep your trouble to yourself!" Hangeng said, his hand clenching under the table. This time Leeteuk's smile was tired, small, but genuine.
"You're right." It turned sad. "I'll try." Hangeng looked at him. "Do you really think that girl's hot?" Leeteuk pointed across the cafe. Hangeng drew his gaze back to her.
"Er. . .that's off subject." He said. Leeteuk raised his eyebrows.
"You do."
". . .Yea, so?" The girl got up, finally turning around. Both boys eyes widened. Leeteuk looked over at Hangeng, who was turning redder, eyes opening even wider to the point he was wondering if they'd fall out. Then he burst out into laughter.
"I-I didn't mean it! I was just. . .kidding!" Hangeng protested. The random coffee-drinkers of the shop turned to the commotion. Hangeng was frantically attempted pulling Leeteuk up, who had fallen out of his chair, still laughing hysterically.
Heechul walked up to them. Leeteuk looked up at him.
"H-heechul." He wheezed. "Did you know that apparently your backside is VERY attractive. . ." He looked at Hangeng and snorted. He got to his feet, gripping Hangeng's arms for support.
"Thank you." He said, looking into the younger boy's eyes. "Yes. Thank you. I forget I've got you guys to. . ." He snorted once more. "Lift me up."
After they had finished up, Leeteuk smiled--for real this time--as he walked out with two of his best friends.
