Chapter 1

Prologue

Xi-Men stared at his mobile, sitting at a table in a lonely café. Xiao You’s café. The names of many girls and their numbers appeared on his phone. With a long pause, he started deleting these contacts one by one until he reached a familiar name: Xiao You. A girl who recently made him doubt his whole attitude towards women. With a smile spreading over his face, he left this name untouched and instead thought about a cute girl whose zest for life was contagious, but so different to his typical choices in women. He wasn’t going to forget her easily.

The Calling, If Only

Once in your lifetime you fall in love. If you are one of those lucky types, it is a love that is most rare and wonderful, like that of my best-friend Shan Cai and her fiancé Dao Ming Si. They faced many challenges but fought all of them, and in the end they established their love for one another. But not everyone is that lucky. Not everyone is blessed to find someone who no matter what will love you unconditionally. However, many people may find themselves like Dao and Shan Cai respectively, fighting for the ones they love. This is my story, the story of Xiao You and how I fought to get the one I love, Xi Men and show that a woman’s preserving limit is longer than a week.
