(18 June 2004 – Friday – Yip’s residence – Gallen’s room – 9.10 p.m.)
GALLEN: (rummaging through his shelves, calling out) Ray! Ray! Did you see my diary?
RAYMOND: (walking in) Diary? Which one?
GALLEN: The pink one, which have a piglet drawing on it!
RAYMOND: (giggling) ‘My silly little piglet’?
GALLEN: (stares at him) Hey! You peeked at my things?
RAYMOND: Of course not! I just saw the cover when I was helping you tidying the bed that day! But how come it’d gone missing? I thought you hid it under your pillow?
GALLEN: If I knew, I wouldn’t have to ask you!
RAYMOND: But why is that animal story book so important to you?
GALLEN: It’s not an animal story book!
RAYMOND: Ah! I know! It must be your love profession to Prof Chan! Take it easy, Gor! You can always write another one!
GALLEN: Of course you can take it easy, you’ve found your Michelle I know! (recalls) Sorry, Ray… it wasn’t my intention to…
RAYMOND: (keeps his smile) It’s over, even if you don’t mention it, the fact still exists!
GALLEN: Talking about it, Ray, why don’t you even consider Tavia or Myo? They seem interested in you!
RAYMOND: You won’t understand, Gor!
GALLEN: Stupid excuse!
RAYMOND: (digressing) Anyway, I thought you need to find your diary? Or perhaps you have thrown it away like rubbish by mistake?
GALLEN: Why would I make such a mistake?
RAYMOND: Unless someone stole it!
GALLEN: Who?
RAYMOND: (giggling) Little piglet! Since she have stolen your heart, who knows she might have stolen your book as well? (winks)
GALLEN: (hitting his head with his pillow) You and your nonsense!

(The next day – 19 June 2004 – Saturday – campus – corridor outside Prof Chan’s office – 2.25 p.m.)
Gallen took his steps lightly towards Flora’s office. To his surprise, Ada emerged from Flora’s office.
GALLEN: Ada, you are here too?
ADA: What are you doing here? Looking for Flora?
GALLEN: (smiles) Yup.
ADA: (blocking him) Gallen, please give up on her!
GALLEN: What… what are you saying, Ada? I just need some help from her…
ADA: You can’t keep anything from me, I know all about it! And you were so daring!
GALLEN: (unsure) Is she… still angry with me for that? I know I was wrong to…
ADA: Anyway, please leave. I promised Roger to keep a tab on you!
GALLEN: Why had your attitude change so fast? I thought you supported me?
ADA: But I won’t support you to do things that would hurt my friends!
GALLEN: (pressing on his lips) I just wanted to take a look of her. A glance! A glimpse would suffice, Ada!
ADA: (relenting) I understand how you feel. But she’s not here!
GALLEN: (pouting) Why didn’t you tell me earlier?
ADA: You didn’t ask!
GALLEN: (disappointedly) Ok.
Then he turns and left. Ada felt confused. She didn’t know who to help. In fact, she wanted to help both Roger and Gallen. But that is so impossible!

(same day – Roger’s mansion – 2nd level – side living room – 8.35 p.m.)
ADA: Finally, you’re free to keep Flora accompany today. But it’s late still!
ROGER: (looking at the clock) Eight something, it’s considered early, Ada! (grins) I’m not as free as you, having holidays and all that!
ADA: (pouts) You all never appreciate my efforts!
ROGER: Yeah, we appreciate your nosey parking so much!
ADA: Hey, fine! If you say that, I won’t help you! Go ahead and let Gallen steals your Flora away!
ROGER: (chuckles) Don’t you have something new, Ada?
ADA: Go ahead and think I’m scaring you. Did you know he actually…
ROGER: Actually what?
ADA: He actually k…
FLORA: (coming out from washroom) Ada! (pulls her to one side) How could you go around and tell everybody what I told you?
ADA: He is not anybody, he is your future hubby, ok?
FLORA: Please keep it from him, ok?
ADA: (a bit indignant) You promise not to think of him, and I’ll help you!
FLORA: What him?
ADA: You know what I’m talking about! He came to look for you today!
FLORA: He did?
ADA: Flora, please! You must be fair to Roger, he did nothing wrong to deserve all these! You better talk it out with him!
ROGER: (jumping up from behind) What do you want to talk to me?
ADA: Erh… nothing. I’ll better make a move first! (walks away hastily)
ROGER: (confused) What happened?
FLORA: (shrugs) Ada is so weird today! (distracted)
ROGER: Flora…
FLORA: (looks up) Huh?
ROGER: Are you unhappy because I have no time for you recently?
FLORA: No…
ROGER: Are you sure? But you still look unhappy!
FLORA: (smiles) I’m alright, don’t worry!
ROGER: Why did Ada tell you just now?
FLORA: Nothing… just some trivial matters.
ROGER: Why not I give you a massage? (putting his hands on her shoulder)
FLORA: (pushed him away hastily) No!
ROGER: (shocked) Why? What happened?
FLORA: Sorry, I guess I’m too tired. (shifting herself into his arms)
ROGER: (doubtfully) Why are both of you so weird today?
FLORA: (looks up at him, caressing his ear) Because I miss you.
ROGER: (grinning) Silly, I knew you were unhappy because I haven’t been accompanying you lately! But don’t worry, the project would be ending soon. I think by next week, I would have time for you everyday!
FLORA: Really? That’s good then. (gave him a kiss on the lips)
ROGER: (gazing at her) Flora, would you stay here tonight?
FLORA: Ok. (hugging him)

On the other hand, Gallen was waiting for Flora to return below her apartment. Someone approaches him…
