GALLEN: Can I have a last request before I leave?
FLORA: Just speak your mind.
GALLEN: Can you keep me accompany for today? I’m leaving tomorrow…
FLORA: (hesitating) Erm…
GALLEN: (pleading) Please… I just want to have a happy memory before I leave. Just one day!
FLORA: Where do you want to go?

(same day – imaginary place – afternoon)
FLORA: Hey, what are we doing here in the wild?
GALLEN: I heard there was a nice waterfall behind the jungle, and I’ve long wanted to visit it!
FLORA: Then why did you bring all these foodstuffs along? Picnic?
GALLEN: Nope, I’m afraid you’ll be hungry by the time we cross the jungle.
FLORA: What’s wrong with you? Crossing this dark and eerie jungle just to see the waterfall?
GALLEN: Please… you promised me…
FLORA: Ok, let’s go.
(in the jungle, 40 minutes later)
FLORA: Where is your map? Do you know the way exactly? Are you fooling me?
GALLEN: What would I fool you?
FLORA: How am I to know?
GALLEN: (grins) Yeah yeah, how do you know I’m planning to sell you off? The smuggler is at the end of the other side!
FLORA: Oh, I am so scared!
GALLEN: (caressing her cheek) Silly girl, why would I bear to do so? I…
FLORA: Hey! Enough talking, when are we getting there?
GALLEN: Soon! (grabs her hand) Come with me!

(21 June 2004 – Monday – KK pharmaceutical company – Roger’s office – noon)
ROGER: (grinning) Hey, girl, how come you are so free everyday? Looking for lunch accompaniment everyday!
ADA: It’s the school holidays, fool! But if you don’t like, I won’t come next time!
ROGER: (smiles) Of course I don’t mean that! I appreciate your special lunch set so much!
ADA: If it was not that I can’t find Flora at her office, I wouldn’t have to take my time to travel here, Mr. Kwok!
ROGER: Flora’s not in? Perhaps she went for a meeting or something?
ADA: (shrugs) God knows! (grins) Anyway, guess who I bumped into just now!
ROGER: Who? (eating his lunch) Gallen Yip?
ADA: Hah! Why do you love this name so much?
ROGER: (shrugs) Just a guess!
ADA: It’s your future brother-in-law!
ROGER: Joe?
ADA: (grinning cheekily) And perhaps my future brother-in-law too!
ROGER: Huh? (confused) You plan to marry me too? Nah… I won’t take you!
ADA: Hey!
ROGER: (laughing) Sorry, sorry, just kidding!
ADA: I mean, he was here looking for Jess! Could you even imagine that?
ROGER: Well, that’s quite surprising indeed! I thought they were at loggerheads?
ADA: Well… not exactly, but I think Jess had always sort of despise Joe!
ROGER: Yup, I recalled! She was telling me not to lend him any more money!
ADA: (grins) But I think now she may be telling you the opposite thing!
ROGER: (smiles) Hey, I notice that you are really too free nowadays! Do you need me to introduce you a boyfriend?
ADA: (blushing a bit) Hey, don’t be so meddlesome!
ROGER: (tracing his cheek) If Nick wasn’t attached, I think you two would make a nice match!
ADA: Goodness! Me and him? No way!
ROGER: (teasingly) Hey, lower your expectations, or you would be left on the shelf!
ADA: You don’t have to worry for me on that account!
ROGER: (pouting) I’m just being concern about you!
ADA: Who needs your concern? (grinning) You better show some concern to your Flora instead!
ROGER: But you just said she wasn’t in!
ADA: Oh, holy god! I didn’t say you have to do it immediately, silly goat!
ROGER: I’m not a silly goat! (grinning) Flora says I’m a lamb!
ADA: Yummy, lamb steak tonight?
ROGER: Hey, I’m not your dinner, mind you! You girls are weird, thinking of food all the time!

(same day – Monday – imaginary jungle place – 3.35 p.m.)
FLORA: Hey! Gallen Yip! How much longer must we walk? You idiot!
GALLEN: Sorry, but I think we lost our way!
FLORA: (screaming) WHAT? Arghhh… help! Stupid Gallen Yip, you and your stupid idea!
GALLEN: I’m sorry! But let’s find the way out first!
FLORA: I’ll say we should ask for help first! (took out her mobile) Oh my god, what kind of place is this? No reception at all?
GALLEN: Let me see. (took out his mobile as well) My one has no network coverage either!
FLORA: Arghh… god help me! Am I going to die here?
GALLEN: I think we better head back, but do you still remember the way back?
FLORA: I followed you, idiot!
GALLEN: Erh… ok, let’s try our luck! (pointing to a certain direction) I think it’s here!
FLORA: Oh my god, you THINK? Arghhh… my legs hurt! I’m so stupid, shouldn’t have listened to all your crap!
GALLEN: I’m sorry! Do you want me to carry you on my back?
FLORA: No! I want to rest!
GALLEN: You can still rest when I carry you, come on! (scooped her up and carried her on his back) Why not you have some water first? In the bag!
FLORA: Luckily I still have something to quench my thirst!
GALLEN: (grinning) You should! You talk so much!
FLORA: Hey, you’re still not redeemed yet! Better save your energy and walk faster!
GALLEN: If I run, I’m afraid I’ll drop you, silly piglet!
FLORA: (shouted) Shut up and walk faster!
GALLEN: (pouting and lowers his head) Ok. (keeps quiet for the next minute)
FLORA: Hey… (moving herself a bit forward) Gallen Yip! Are you ok? (he keeps quiet) I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to shout at you. (tone softens) But I’m really scared. This place sounds so eerie with all the weird animal sounds!
GALLEN: (confidently) Don’t worry, I will protect you!
FLORA: How are you going to do so? If a huge bear were to pounce at us, it’ll be the end of us!
GALLEN: No fear! I’m Happy Teddy, have you forgotten? Bears are my friends!
FLORA: (grinning) Silly!
GALLEN: Happy Teddy will protect Little Piglet forever!
FLORA: (grinning) Crazy! (notice something) Hey, look at that!
GALLEN: (shocked) Oh my god! Haze!
FLORA: And they are coming our way! What are we to do?
GALLEN: Don’t worry, we’ll take another route!
With that, he turns towards another direction where the haze is less obvious and hastens his steps. Striding across the jungle without a sense of direction, he finds Flora tightening her grip around him. For the third time, she crumpled his shirt again! He walked faster…
