(Saturday night – pub)
Julian and Annie strolled into the pub chatting merrily. The others were already there. Raymond gave them a wave and grimaces an angry look.
RAYMOND: Hey, why are you two so late? I know you are the leads, but you shouldn’t have kept us waiting, for almost an hour!
JULIAN: Sorry, Ray. (pointing to Annie) This girl! She insisted on retaking the shots when I found them ok actually. And it was just a trial shot!
ANNIE: (rebuking) Everything is ok with you! Even a new wife!
SUNNY: Hey, sis, don’t say!
KENIX: Yup, you two should be more accommodating!
ANNIE: Dai Gor, Dai So, you two don’t understand how nonchalant this guy is! He is ok with everything and I practically have to take care of all the wedding stuffs. Reservation of the restaurant, printing of the invitation cards, the guest list, the wedding shots package, the… By the way, where is Ken Biu Gor? Isn’t he supposed to be here today?
RAYMOND: Busy dating again, I supposed! I didn’t see him in campus today!
GALLEN: (tucking a drink) Have a drink first, Annie, you are shooting off like a machine gun, poor you, Julian!
ANNIE: You are so bad, Gallen Gor! I treat you like my own brother, but look how you’re teasing me now! (pouts)
GALLEN: (shaking his head) You girls just can’t take jokes!
ANNIE: Hey, is that a personal attack you’re making now?
JULIAN: Forget it, Annie; we can’t outtalk this great author!
GALLEN: Now you two are on the same side?
ANNIE: (holding her head high) Since when have we stood on different sides?
GALLEN: I concede defeat!
ANNIE: Hey, anyway, Ray, I still insist to have you and Michelle as our bestman and bridesmaid!
RAYMOND: (awkwardly) I’m afraid I’ll have to disappoint you!
ANNIE: Why?
SUNNY: (digressing) Erm… Annie… How are the wedding preparations going? Do you need any help?
ANNIE: Almost done, but we still need the bestman and bridesmaid.
KENIX: Perhaps you could ask Gallen? He missed being our bestman that time, so now he can make it up!
ANNIE: (to Raymond) But you promise to be my bestman! Do you remember that, Ray?
RAYMOND: Erm… Michelle… she is not in HK now.
JULIAN: That’s such a pity! So, Gallen, we’ll hand the task to you!
GALLEN: Nah… I would only steal your limelight! And where on earth are you going to get the bridesmaid?
JULIAN: (snaps his finger) We’ll get little piglet to fill the vacancy!
GALLEN: (rolls his eyes) Hey! Matching me up with a piglet?

(Monday – campus – around noon)
TAVIA: (munching tidbits) Myo, how are you getting on with your presentation this Friday?
MYOLIE: (drawing) Almost ready, why do you ask? How about you?
TAVIA: Erm… I’m thinking of asking Ray to be my model, what do you think?
MYOLIE: (realizes) Oh! So that’s why you purposely change your designed last minute!
TAVIA: Please, can you help me?
MYOLIE: (confused) How can I help you?
TAVIA: Actually, I’m the one helping you here! I know you like him!
MYOLIE: (rolls her eyes) Look who’s talking here!
TAVIA: Just admit it, Myo!
MYOLIE: (looking behind Tavia) Hey Ray, Tavia’s looking for you!
TAVIA: (tidying her hair anxiously, turning around) Hi, Ray! (sees nobody, turns back) Hey you’re fooling me!
MYOLIE: (grinning) You’re falling for it willingly, girl!
TAVIA: Hey! (pouts) So will you help me or not?
MYOLIE: Why me? You should ask Sammul to help!
TAVIA: And where is he now?
MYOLIE: (recalls) Oh! I almost forget he’s still in Cheung Chau!
TAVIA: How heartless are you! My Biu Gor cares for you so much yet you don’t even remember he’s away!
MYOLIE: You know there is nothing between us!
TAVIA: (grinning cheekily) Perhaps there will soon be? (winks)
MYOLIE: Nonsense! (pauses) And why can’t you ask Ray yourself?
TAVIA: Awww… please, I know you gets along better with him. It’ll be so awkward if he refuses me!
MYOLIE: It’s a miracle someone like you would ever feel awkward over things!
TAVIA: (blushing) So will you help or not?
MYOLIE: But how do you know he won’t refuse me?
TAVIA: Because he still owes you a favor, remember?
MYOLIE: Since when?
TAVIA: Last year! Still remember my cousin? She was there too!

(Monday – Chan’s apartment – night)
ADA: (whispering) What’s wrong with your precious sister today? Staring into space for the whole night! Must have had a tiff with Roger!
JOE: How do you know? You don’t even have a boyfriend, and is always hanging around at my place!
ADA: I’m looking for Flora, not for you!
JOE: Who knows? Maybe that’s just an excuse to get closer to me?
ADA: (rolling her eyes) Hey! Who do you think you are? My Gallen dear? (makes a face) Nah… you’re far from that!
JOE: I feel like vomiting! YOUR Gallen? (shivers dramatically) You need some pills, girl!
ADA: You’re just jealous of his talent!
JOE: Talent? What kind of talent does he possess? Can he draw like me?
ADA: Well, that is indeed a blessing and one of his merits! He is NOT like you!
JOE: So what’s so great about him actually? Just playing around with words and emotions of silly readers like YOU!
ADA: Hey! I am not silly, mind you! I think you’re the real one being jealous here!
JOE: (blushes) Me jealous? What is there to be jealous about? I am no chauvinist like him! See how much gender bias each of his books carries?
ADA: (realizes) Oh! So you were the sneaky one who flipped through my books when I left them over here! I almost thought it was Flora!
JOE: (stuttering) Well, the wind just happened to blow the pages open and I just took a few glances!
ADA: Oh… so is that the Southeast wind or Northwest wind?
JOE: ……
Just then, a loud crash coming from the kitchen, saving Joe from being further probed by Ada. They ran to the kitchen immediately, only to see Flora fainted on the ground. They attempted to shake her up, but failed. Joe carried her and rushed down…
