FLORA: (shocked) He’s the bridegroom?
GALLEN: (raising his eyebrows, pointing at Flora) Now don’t tell me she is the bridesmaid?
ADA: (appearing) Hey what’s the din about? (saw Gallen) Hi, Gallen! (smiles)
GALLEN: (smiles back) Hi, Ada!
ADA: Awww… you remembers my name!
GALLEN: (smiling confidently) Of course!
FLORA: Hey Ada!
ADA: Ooops! What’s up, Flora?
FLORA: (leaning closer and whispered) He is the bestman for Julian and Annie!
ADA: (surprised) Oh!
GALLEN: (to Julian) (pointing to Flora) Now is SHE the bridesmaid?
FLORA: (rolls her eyes) Luckily I am not!
ADA: (mumbling and grinning) Luckily I am!
ANNIE: (confused) (to Ada) So you are little piglet?
ADA: (grinning) Nope, I am little mousey!
ANNIE: (bemused and amused) Huh?
JULIAN: I wanted to ask Flora, but she say she isn’t free recently, so…
FLORA: So Ada volunteered!
ANNIE: (to Flora) Then why are you trying on the gown?
FLORA: I heard this studio has nice gowns, so I just followed Ada along! I need to choose one soon, anyway! (looks at her watch) Oh no! I forgot I’m meeting Roger! (to Ada) I better change this out first! Hey, reserve the gown for me, ok?
ADA: (smiles) No problem, just change and rush off to your hubby soon! (Flora changes and exits)
(45 minutes later) (after photo shooting)
ADA: Gallen, I’m so glad to see you today. How are you feeling recently?
GALLEN: (confused) Huh? What do you mean?
ADA: Erm… I’m sorry to poke into your personal matters, but I heard from Flora last time about you and your girlfriend…
GALLEN: How come she is such a busybody? (raising one of his eyebrows)
ADA: No! Don’t misunderstand! She knows I like you… (stammering) Ooops, sorry, I mean she knows I like your books, and so she was just mentioning it to me, hope you don’t mind!
GALLEN: (smiles) I see… I won’t mind. (keeping his smile soon after)
ADA: Cheer up, HongKonger!
GALLEN: Huh?
ADA: You still can’t forget her? I understand!
GALLEN: (grins) What do you understand?
ADA: (clears her throat, while speaking crisply) “While it takes a minute to have a crush on someone, an hour to like someone, and a day to love someone, it takes a lifetime to forget someone.”
GALLEN: (amused) Using my own words on me?
ADA: Ooops, sorry, I didn’t mean to plagiarize! (winks) Just trying to cheer you up a little!
GALLEN: Thanks for your concern! (smiles) You’re such a cute and nice girl, unlike your friend, so cool!
ADA: Of course not, Flora is a nice and warm and pretty girl, if you gets to know her better, I bet you’ll like her too!
GALLEN: Pretty but a little chili padi!
ADA: (chuckles) This one I agree!
GALLEN: By the way, is she getting married soon?
ADA: Uh huh, why?
GALLEN: Eh… nothing, just asking! (smiles) I wonder how her future hubby could stand her temper! (thinking)

(Thursday – campus)
Myolie was having lunch with one of the TAs from her faculty, Kenneth. Tavia concealed herself in a corner and eavesdrops on them.
MYOLIE: Hey, Ken, have you asked Ray for me?
KENNETH: (munching his burger) I think he should be available tomorrow.
MYOLIE: You THINK? (gasping) That means you didn’t ask!
KENNETH: You’re weird! It’s not as if you don't know him! why don’t you ask him yourself? And he can return the favor to you at the same time.
MYOLIE: Firstly, I don’t want to force him. Secondly… I don’t want him to misunderstand that I like him, you know that Tavia is always teasing me…
KENNETH: But if you’re not guilty, who cares?
MYOLIE: You’re right, but… (pauses and thinks) Since you’re his buddy, so I thought it will be easier for you to talk to him!
KENNETH: That Tavia is really troublesome! Bothering so many people just for her sake!
MYOLIE: She…
Just then, Kenneth feels someone pulling his ears from behind.
TAVIA: Hey, what did you say?
KENNETH: (turns around) Ouch! It hurts, dear Tavia! Please let go… (removing her hand)
TAVIA: This will teach you not to offend me! (sitting besides Myolie)
KENNETH: (pouting) Looks like I have no choice…
TAVIA: (staring) What do you think?
KENNETH: (seeing someone) Whoa, a beauty is walking towards us.
MYOLIE: Who? (turns around with Tavia)
KENNETH: (grins) Oh… she’s smiling at me!
TAVIA: Idiotic fool! She is smiling at us, not you!
KENNETH: Why?
TAVIA: Do you know who she is?
MYOLIE: Hi, Vivian-jie, why are you here?
VIVIAN: Just accompanying my friend here to see someone!
TAVIA: Who? Me?
VIVIAN: (smiles) Yup, and you as well!
STEVEN: (walking to Vivian) Hey, Viv! Told you to wait for me!
VIVIAN: Have you done with seeing your friend?
STEVEN: Nah… Flora’s not there!
MYOLIE: You’re looking for Prof Chan? She’s on leave today!
STEVEN: What a coincidence! Arghh… wrong time to come!
MYOLIE: By the way, why are you looking for her?
STEVEN: Erm… I heard that Julian and Annie are getting married next week, so I just wanted to ask Flora something about that…
MYOLIE: Then why didn’t you talk to that Julian yourself?
STEVEN: Erm… Sorry, I’ll make a trip to the washroom. (to Vivian) Wait for me!
MYOLIE: Did I say something wrong?
VIVIAN: (explains) The three of them, I mean Flora, Julian and Steven… they were best friends during college, and Annie was Steven’s girlfriend at first, later she fell for Julian, and…
TAVIA: (butts in) And therefore the friends turn enemies?
VIVIAN: Yup. But actually Steven had forgiven them, he’s just too stubborn to admit that.
TAVIA: Oh I see…
VIVIAN: I’ll see you again soon, Tavia. I’m going to take a look at him!
TAVIA: Ok, bye, sis! (Vivian walks away)
KENNETH: Hey, Tavia, she is your sister?
TAVIA: My paternal cousin! Why? Are you interested in her? Please don’t ever bear that thought, goat!
KENNETH: Hey, you’re so rude! (sighs) I think I’ll have to reconsider whether I should help you now…
TAVIA: (pulls his ears again) Say that again!
KENNETH: (yelping in pain) Arhhh… ok ok! I’ll help… I’ll help!
TAVIA: (grinning victoriously) That’s more like it!

Roger’s siblings (in order) = Nick, Joyce, Shirley
Sammul’s elder sister = Maggie (Ching)
Sammul’s maternal cousin = Tavia
Tavia’s paternal cousin = Vivian (Leung)
Annie -- brother = Sunny, sister-in-law = Kenix, maternal cousin = Kenneth
