“What? Mount Fuji?” Chae Yeon held on to her pencil tightly
“Yes, they met there” Hee Chul was waiting for Chae Yeon to explode
“I don’t understand, how did he meet Yuki at Mt Fuji? Yuki didn’t go to Mount Fuji”
“I brought Yuki there, when you were in Paris. I’m sorry, please don’t hit me” Hee Chul took a few steps backwards
“Why did you bring Yuki there?” Chae Yeon had a mind block. She felt that a sudden rush of information flooded her brain.
“To paint that painting” Hee Chul pointed to the painting on the wall
“Why is Seung gi there?”
“That’s not the most important question is it?” Hee Chul was waiting for Chae Yeon to snap back into reality.
“How did he know I’m Yuki’s mother? He does not know I have a child”
“I don’t know, father-daughterly bond I guess” Hee Chul was over stressed. This is one big reason why he wanted to live a carefree life and not get tied down to anyone.
“Does Yuki know who he is?”
“I dared not ask her. I talk too much, I should just shut up” She would kill him if she knew they had dinner together.
“So he came to you. Did you explain to him that Yuki is not his baby?” Chae Yeon looked at Hee Chul hopefully
“I don’t think he believes me. I know I’m wrong. Please don’t be mad! You can bite me if you want” Hee Chul gave her his arm. He wanted to look comical to cheer her up.
“Why does he want to know so much?” Chae Yeon was depressed. To her, Seung gi had already moved on with his own life. That was what she has been telling herself all these years.
“Mummy, I’m here to spend the rest of the day with you” Yuki hop into the studio with smiles. But what greeted her was two very troubled looking people
“Baby!” Chae Yeon hugged her tightly into her arms
“Call me, I’m staying in Miyazaki tonight” Hee Chul kissed Yuki and left

“Mummy look worried” Yuki gave her mummy a big smile. Chae Yeon starred at her daughter’s little dimples; they are exactly the same as Sueng gi’s.
“Has Yuki been a good girl? Do you have anything to tell mummy?”
“I’ve been a good girl. My teacher wants to send one of my paintings for a competition” Yuki was very excited about the competition. She knows that the finals will be held in Seoul. Yuki knows that Chae Yeon used to live in Seoul. She wanted to see the place her mother grew up in, but Chae Yeon never seem interested in going back there.
“My darling is the best. Well why don’t you go occupy yourself? Mummy has to finish this design today” Chae Yeon felt relieved. If Yuki found out about Seung gi, she would have told her.
But she didn’t stay relived for long. In less an hour, that man turned up at her studio.

“Chae Yeon shi” He stood in front of her
“Seung gi! what are you doing here?”
“I’m here to see you, and my daughter”
“I don’t want to see you, and you don’t have a daughter”
“Yuki is my child, I know she is”
“She’s not, please leave, I don’t want you to be here” Chae Yeon was close to tears. The man she loved so deeply, the man she let go 5 years ago, is now standing in front of her.
“Why are you doing this to yourself?” Sueng gi grabbed her by her shoulders. She is skinnier than before, She feels so fragile, so weak.
“Please go, go back to Korea, go get married, be happy, I beg you” She started crying. Her tears betrayed the strong front she was trying to put up.
“How can I be happy without you? Lets start over, let me take care of you and Yuki” He was not that young boy anymore, he needed to fight for his love, fight for their love.
“You don’t have to pity us. I betrayed you, remember?” she was getting desperate; Sueng gi was not backing off. To Chae Yeon, all Seung gi wants now is to be responsible. She didn’t want this, he was never meant to know about Yuki.
Yuki heard the noise from the other room. She rushed out to her crying mother
“Go away, why are you bullying my mummy” Yuki saw Seung gi holding on to Chae Yeon forcefully
“Yuki, I’m your father” Seung gi let go of Chae Yeon and bend down to Yuki’s height
Yuki was stunned. This nice uncle is her father? She looked at her mom but Chae Yeon was crying very bitterly.
“I don’t have a father. Go away, you are making my mummy upset” Yuki pushed Seung gi away from her and her mother.
“I am your daddy, I’m here to take care of you and mummy” Seung gi started crying as well. Looking at Chae Yeon and Yuki, he could not stop hating himself for leaving 5 years ago.
“Mummy!” Yuki hugged her mother.
“Please just go” Chae Yeon cried.

That night, Chae Yeon slept in Yuki’s room. She felt insecure, she was very scared, and she didn’t know what to do now.
“Mummy, do you hate daddy?” Yuki suddenly asked
“I don’t, daddy didn’t do anything wrong, its all mummy’s fault”
“Your fault? What did you do? Why did he suddenly appear then? Is he here to look for us?”
Chae Yeon didn’t know how to tell her daughter that her father came to Japan to get her to design a wedding gown for his fiancée
“Baby, do you want daddy?”
“I don’t want a daddy who does not love mummy.”
“Don’t blame your father. He would have been a good father if he knew you are around. It is my fault”
Yuki was no longer curious about who her father is. She met him. She didn’t dislike him that much, but she didn’t understand how he could not have known that she exists, didn’t he miss her mother? Is he really marrying that woman?
