“I do, many of my clients shoot their wedding pictures here” Chae Yeon said , with a disinterested expression on her face
“I’m glad you agreed to meet me” Seung gi stretched out his hand and wanted to hold her.
“I know you are getting married soon. Congratulations” Chae Yeon sensing what Seung gi wanted to do, picked up the glass of water.
“The wedding is off, it was never meant to be”
“Seung gi, will you promise Nuna something?” This time, Chae Yeon put the glass down and place her hand on his.
“You know I am willing to do anything for you”
“Go back to Seoul, don’t ever come to Miyazaki again”
She cannot strip him from his happiness. This man, her Seung gi, is getting married. They are even at the stage of picking a wedding gown. He should never have known about Yuki, now he just wants to take responsibility. She loves him too much to want to make him go through all these.
“I cannot do that, not after I found you”
“I am happy now, I have Yuki, we live a good life here. Go back and be happy with Jinny, go for your happiness, Nuna always wanted you to be happy”
“You are not my Nuna. You are my woman. My happiness is with you, I’m not going anywhere. I’m not that young boy that left you because of a stupid lie, not anymore”
He figured out as much what she has done. Minwoo was a prop in her plan to make him leave her. He was too young and rash then. Chae Yeon is not that type of woman, he as her man should have known that.
Suddenly
“Ms Lee, its me, the principal. Yuki fainted in school today, she is on her way to the hospital, please come right away”
“I will be right there”
“Seung gi I need to go… Yuki .. she is in the hospital” Chae Yeon grabbed her bag and ran to her car. Seung gi followed behind her as they both sped their way to the Miyazaki hospital.

They arrived at the emergency department in 15 mins
“How is she?” Chae Yeon spotted the principal.
“She is still in there with the doctor. She fell from the monkey bar during sports class and fainted. We are very sorry about it.”
“My baby…” Chae Yeon walked up and down the hall. She was worried sick, nothing should happen to her Yuki. Her Yuki is her perfect little girl. Seung gi sat there looking at Chae Yeon pacing the hallway. He tried to get her to sit down but she ignored him totally. After about 30 mins, the doctor came out of the room.
“Are you two her parents?
“Yes. How is she?” Chae Yeon answered.
“The fall caused a little bleeding on the surface of her head, but the wound is covered by her hair. She is fine for now, she wants to see her mother badly.”
“Also, I found some irregularities in her blood, I’m going to put her through some tests to see if there’s anything of concern. Any of you have a history of serious medical illness?” The doctor looked at them
“No.. not that I know of” Chae Yeon looked at Seung gi
“No history” Seung gi replied. He stretched out his arm and tried to hold Chae Yeon, he wanted to give her some support. She avoided him and started walking towards the ward.
Seung gi didn’t enter the ward, he didn’t know if Yuki will be upset if she sees him. He didn’t want to make her upset. He sat there in the hallway thinking about the week he just had.
His Chae Yeon, her act with Minwoo made him so mad that he enrolled himself in the army. After the 2 years in army, she has disappeared. No matter how he tried, the days he camped outside her house, she didn’t turn up. He was very persistent, until the day Uncle and Aunty chased him away.
“Chae Yeon already has a better man than you, she has moved on, you better as well”
Those were the words of her parents, the same uncle and aunty that once told him that they trusted him with their daughter, and that Chae Yeon is very happy with him.
He remembers the day he asked her father’s permission to marry his daughter. Uncle said that he would like Seung gi to call him Dad.
Seung gi wonders how the two old folks are; do they dote on Yuki like most grandparents do?
