“Lee Seung Gi!” Chae Yeon screamed into the phone
“Yeonie!” Seung Gi was at the flower shop chatting with the lady boss. He was planning to get some daises and lilies this time.
“I want you to come here and clear away the roses. Stop sending them!”
Yuki starred at her mother multitasking. Chae Yeon was talking on the phone and moving the roses from the living room to the garden. Yuki’s own room was also filled with bears and stuffed animals from Seung gi.
“I’ll be there right away” Seung gi said happily.

When Seung gi arrived at Chae Yeon’s place, he was shocked to see the number of roses in the porch. He made a call to get some help to clean up the place, and rang the door bell.
Yuki opened the door
“Sweetie. How are you?” Seung gi looked at his daughter dotingly. She was wearing a white dress with a cute little pink apron. She had gloves on and didn’t look very happy
“Uncle, will you stop sending those roses? I am tired of making pot-pori” Yuki pouted
“Why are you making pot-pori? Where’s mummy?”
“Its mummy’s idea. She’s inside, and she’s not very happy either” Yuki made way for Seung gi to enter.
“Are you watching television?” Seung gi saw the coffee table filled with roses and essential oils
“I’m trying” Yuki sat down in front of the TV and continued to separate the petals from the rose buds, feeling a little angry with her father’s senseless purchase.
Seung gi went into the garden and saw Chae Yeon snipping stems from the roses. She was dressed in white and had a pink apron on as well. He laughed to himself.
“Darling, you wanted to see me?” Seung gi hugged Chae Yeon from behind
“Ouch!” Chae Yeon got a shock, she didn’t hear Seung gi entering the garden. She accidentally pricked her finger with one of the roses.
“Let me see” Seung gi went around her and grabbed her hand. Her thumb was bleeding a little. Seung gi quickly sucked the blood away gently.
“My darling is still so careless even after being a mother” Seung gi teased her. He knew that it was his fault that she pricked her finger, but he wanted to see her get angry.
“Lee Seung Gi. It’s all your fault. Take it all away!” Chae Yeon shouted at him and threw the scissors on the picnic table.
“I thought you loved roses” He looked around the garden, feeling a little pleased with his gift.
“I don’t want to talk to you. This is ridiculous” Chae Yeon stormed out of the garden.
But she got pulled back by Seung Gi. He forcefully pulled her into his arms and hugged her tightly.
“Don’t run away from me, please, 5 years is long enough, let’s be happy now, shall we?” He whispered softly into her ears. Chae Yeon didn’t struggle. She didn’t move. She simply allowed Seung gi to hug her.
After a while, her mind gave in to her heart.
“You are horrible” Chae Yeon cried as she used her fist to beat Seung gi’s chest. Of course with her strength, it didn’t hurt Seung gi at all. Seung gi used his palm to grab Chae Yeon’s fist and brought them to his heart.
“Yes I’m horrible, I’m the meanest, and I’m the worst person on this earth. But I love you. I have you now, its okay, the past is all over, we are together now, we will be happily together” Seung gi used his hands to lift Chae Yeon’s face up and kissed her.
“Do you want to stay for dinner?” Chae Yeon asked softly
“I didn’t intend to leave when I came in today.” Seung gi said as he carried Chae Yeon in his arms and walked into the house. For that short period of time, they forgot that they have a daughter.
Yuki starred at her parents with shock and then turned back to her cartoon pretending she didn’t see them.
Chae Yeon smiled at her daughter and walked up to give her a peck on her head.
“Yuki, mummy is going to cook dinner.” Chae Yeon has accepted Seung gi, although she knows in her heart that they won’t be able to get married. Things with him are so complicated. His career, his mother, she didn’t want to handle those anymore. She left Seoul 5 years ago with a promise that she will never get involved with the politics of the entertainment industry. Right now, she just wants to be with Seung gi and their baby.
Yuki knows that her daddy has succeeded. He is the first man other than Uncle Hee Chul who got invited by her mother to stay for dinner.
“Uncle, are you and mummy okay now?” Yuki asked Seung gi
“If we are okay will Yuki call me daddy?” Seung gi looked at his little girl sweetly.
“I can only call you daddy when you marry mummy” From the little Television that she watches, this is Yuki’s perception of what parents and marriage are.
“Daddy won’t force you. I’m sure soon you’ll be able to call me daddy” he gave his little girl a peck.
That afternoon, Seung gi, with the help of some cleaners that he hired, managed to get rid of all the roses in the house. Chae Yeon didn’t let him stay for the night. She wanted him to go back to the hotel. But for a start, that dinner was enough.
