“What is it baby?”
“I get to win an award for my drawing. The ceremony is this weekend. And if my painting wins the final round of selection, I get to go to Seoul for the final competition! Yuki excitedly told her mother
“My darling is so talented” Chae Yeon dropped everything she was doing and kissed Yuki.
“Mummy do you think Daddy would like to come to my school for the ceremony?” Yuki asked her mother
“Well ask him yourself” Chae Yeon saw Seung gi’s car drive up to the boutique. Seung gi got down the car holding on to a bouquet of flowers.

“My mom is ill, I need to go back to Seoul to see her” Seung gi told Chae Yeon
“I hope she gets better, you should go soon, don’t keep her waiting” Chae Yeon gave Seung gi a smile. She does not feel good about Seung gi leaving, but she knows his life is in Seoul, not in Miyazaki.
“I will settle some things and come back as soon as I’m done. Alright?”
“Do you think you can be back by Saturday?” Chae Yeon asked
“I will try to; do you have something planned for me?” Seung gi asked her dotingly
“Nothing important, go do what you need to do. Be safe and Take Care” Chae Yeon stood at the door with Yuki.
“Baby, give daddy a kiss” Seung gi bend down to Yuki’s height
“Daddy you have to promise to come back okay?”
“Of course I’m coming back.”
Seung gi left the boutique, and headed for the airport. His father left numerous messages to ask him to return home, and he was very worried about his mother’s health.

“Omma, what happened?”
“Oh Seung gi, you are back. I missed you so much”
“Yes Seung gi, you were gone so long your mother fell ill just waiting for you.” Seung gi’s father said
“Are you alright? A-pa said you were seriously ill” Seung gi felt his mother head, he wanted to make sure she was alright
“I am much better, I was very ill the last couple of days” Mrs Lee lied. She was never ill, it was a lie to get Seung gi home.
“Well Omma you have to take care, what did the doctor say?”
Seung gi was relieved his mother looks so fresh and awake. His worries were uncalled for.

“Seung gi, you are finally back. We have been delaying your album for many weeks now. The producers of this year’s hit drama want to know your opinion of singing a duet with jinny. She’s most probably going to be the lead actress, it would be great publicity and high ratings” Park was going on and on about work related stuff to Seung gi, who was uninterested in anything he was saying.
“Park, that album, can we just go ahead and release it? I don’t want to do any promotions for it. I’ll forgo my portion of the profits. The company can take it all. I want to stop singing for a while” Seung gi felt that it was time to move on. For the past few years in his life, singing was the only thing he enjoyed, it was the only time he could put his real emotions into his songs. He sung one sad song after the other, each sadder than the previous one.
“Are you crazy? You have a long way more to go! What is the matter with you?”
“I’m not crazy, I want to take a break from the industry and focus on my other priorities”
“Is this about Chae Yeon? How is it that she suddenly appeared in your life again?” Park was disappointed with Seung gi.
“It was fate. Oh and can you book me a ticket to Miyazaki on Friday?”
“Why are you going back there again?”
“My life is there now, that’s why”
Seung gi wanted to give Chae Yeon and Yuki a surprise on Friday. He ordered all of Chae Yeon’s favourite food and intended to bring it to Japan for her.
