Jinny was in Taiwan the past few days filming a commercial for a beverage company. She wanted to take a short trip but decided to return to Seoul as the auditions for the hit drama of the year was about to end. She knows that she is their top candidate for that role. It was going to be a drama filmed and aired across the different Asian countries that had been influenced by the Korean wave.
“Thank you for meeting me Mr Kim” Jinny got ready for the interview.
“I met your future mother in law this morning” Mr Kim turned serious
“You mean Seung gi’s mother?” Jinny had not given Seung gi a reply on what excuse they should give for their break-up.
Although they have officially not confirmed their status as dating, the public knows it’s true. People within the industry know their relationship; some even know that they planned to get married.
“Yes, Mrs Lee has become a very good friend of mine” Mr Kim turned around and placed the script in front of Jinny.
“This drama, it will be a huge production and an enormous hit; I can put any newbie in it and make her famous overnight. With you in it, your popularity will be mega. I’m sure you know about it” Mr Kim continued
“Jinny understands that. This is why she rushed back all the way from Taiwan. Our Jinny does not accept any cheap flicks I can assure you” Joey, Jinny’s manager commented.
“I can give this role to you, but I need one thing from you”
“What is it?” Jinny didn’t have a good feeling about it.
“Read this out at the press conference” Mr Kim pushed another document to her.
-Press conference on the separation between Jinny and Lee Seung gi-
***I have been through a lot these last few weeks. My fans and friends would know that I broke off with Lee Seung gi recently. I am holding this press conference not to share with you my awful break-up, but to tell you the truth behind our separation.
Seung gi is also a victim in this mess. If you are old enough to remember, 5 years ago there was a singer named Chae Yeon. She is an advocate of the sexy concept, and is well known for her seduction. Seung gi met her when he was just a young boy. She seduced him. Recently, she suddenly appeared and approached Seung gi, asking him to take responsibility for her and her child. She claims that Seung gi is the father of her child.
Seung gi is a good man. He is responsible and so kind hearted. He agreed to her requests. This is the reason behind our break-up. I hope that after learning the truth, fans and supporters will not stop loving Seung gi and me. Although we are no longer together, I still care a lot for him and I hope that with the support of fans, he will be able to see for himself what a mistake he is making. ***
“This is crazy! That’s like asking the fans to turn anti fans against Chae Yeon onni!” Jinny was in shock
“Isn’t Chae Yeon the reason that Seung gi and you broke up?” Kim persisted
“Yes but..”
“Didn’t she tell Seung gi that her child is his?” Kim interrupted
“Yes but…”
“That’s enough. Think about it and give me an answer tomorrow” Kim said and left the room.

“What’s there to think about? This way would be perfect. Its good for Seung gi it’s good for you. Plus we’ll be able to get some sympathy votes” Joey said to Jinny
