“It’s a pity but I respect your decision” Park softly said to Seung gi before standing up to greet the audience.
“Thank you press, friends, fans for coming to this fan meeting. We will take one question as a time” Park announced.
“Is Yuki really your child? We found out that she is the daughter of ex-singer Chae Yeon. Is that true?”
“Yes it is true, Yuki is my daughter. Chae Yeon and myself, we were in a relationship 5 years ago. But because of certain reasons, I was unable to fulfil my responsibility as a husband and as a father. Right now, I am trying to win back her heart and let her accept me into her life.”
“What do you mean by you were unable to fulfil your responsibilities? What happened 5 years ago?”
“ First of all, this meeting is to announce my step down from the industry. Singing has always been my passion and fans have supported me through my 8 years of career. I want to stop now, because I want to live my life with her and Yuki. As a singer, there are many things that I cannot control and I do not have a choice over. That includes my relationship with Chae Yeon.”
“So she had your child out of wedlock?” “Is this about the fans?” “How will your fans react about you leaving the industry?” A swamp of questions came shooting at him
“If you need to hate someone, please hate me. I do not wish to see her or our daughter getting hurt. They have been hurt enough, these 5 years I was not around with them. Please let me protect my family, and let me have the opportunity to be with them., and be a responsible husband and father”
“Is it not a pity? Your career is bright and shinny, are you giving up all these for Chae Yeon?” another reporter asked.
“Chae Yeon left the peak of her career 5 years ago to bear me a child. To her, Yuki is like a gift from heaven. To me, Chae Yeon is my gift from heaven and Yuki is my gift from her. They are both my reason for living.”
“Why is Chae Yeon not here? Do you intend to marry her? What is she doing now?” another reporter asked
“Chae Yeon rejected my proposal, 3 times now. If she knew about this press conference, she would not have let it happen. I am trying, I hope she will agree to marry me despite the mess this fan meeting will create. I love her very much, and I hope we can both be happy now”
“Does your family know about this? What do they have to say about it?”
“People who love me will love my woman and my daughter; I don’t have to worry about that. If Uncle and Aunty are watching, I would like to take this opportunity to tell them that I am sorry. I’m sorry for not fulfilling my promise 5 years ago, to take care of Chae Yeon. Please give me another chance to do my duties as a son in law. I hope that I will still have your blessings and approval.

“Chae Yeon! Have you heard about the press conference?” Hee Chul called Chae Yeon
“You know what I realized? You have not called me Nuna since I don’t even remember when” Chae Yeon was having her hair done at the salon.
“Ok NUNA, have you heard of the press conference?” Hee chul repeated himself.
“What press conference?. Yuki and Seung gi are coming home tomorrow night ” Chae Yeon said happily
“That’s provided their plane don’t get hijacked by some anti fans” Hee Chul was looking at the video clip of the press conference.
“What exactly happened?”
“Your darling daughter won the competition and her wonderful father your lover lee seung gi announced to the whole world that Yuki is his daughter. A press conference was just aired; I’ll sent you the video?”

Chae Yeon sat at the salon watching the entire video off her phone. She could not control the tears that were running down her cheeks. Seung gi has told everyone about them, the truth is out and there’s nothing to hide. Seung gi is protecting them, fighting for their relationship bravely against the media.
She wanted to call him, but she didn’t know what to say or how she will react.
She went home, slowly opening the main door, and was surprised to see Seung gi sitting on the couch.
“Seung gi!”
Seung gi went up to her and hugged her tightly, embracing her tiny body into his arms. He wanted to see her so badly, he wanted to be with her and never leave her side. They stood there for a long time.
“I love you” Seung gi finally said
“You are so silly” Chae Yeon said with her head pressed against his chest
“Do you still love me?” He asked.
Chae Yeon didn’t answer him, but he could feel that she was nodding her head.
“Is everything ok? The fan meeting… I saw it” She asked
“Everything is fine now, its all over, from now onwards, we will be happy, no more crying, promise me, we will be happy?” he asked
“Where is Yuki?” Chae Yeon suddenly pushed herself out of his arms. She suddenly remembered about her baby daughter.
“I left her with your parents. I’ll go pick her up tomorrow. I needed to see you badly, that’s why I’m here” Seung gi looked at her longingly
“Its late, you should go” Chae Yeon backed away
“I should go.” Seung gi nooded and took another big step towards Chae Yeon.
“Seung gi! What are you doing, put me down!” Chae Yeon held on to his arms tightly. Seung gi had lifted her up in his arms.
“I’m leaving, but I need to take my woman with me” He started walking out of the house
“No, put me down. Seung gi!” Chae Yeon continuously shouted.
“Shh… you’ll wake the neighbours. There, down” Seung gi dropped Chae Yeon into the passenger’s seat of his convertible and quickly drove off.
