MeiZou was annoyed-“ Hey… hey you shouldn’t say that to me…you…”
Before he finished, Vicky has stood up and bowed-“ Dui bu qi ma.”
MeiZou smiled to see her reaction-“ Hao la… hao la… you always know how to make me smile. That’s why I can never stay mad at you… Hey why are you still standing there… sit la…”
Vicky looked at him and pointed a picture on his table-“ Ooh… I’m looking at this… hmmm I guess she must be the one right?” Then she smiled at him.
MeiZou looked at the picture-“ Yeah… that’s XiaoQiao”
Vicky sat back-“ Wow… what a pretty girl… she must be so lucky to have you.”
MeiZou’s face suddenly showed a sign of sadness -“ That’s not exactly true… You don’t know how many times I’ve disappointed her. I guess I’m not exactly what you would call a good boyfriend.”
Vicky-“ Hey… why’s that?”
But before MeiZou could answer, his secretary knocked on the door and reminded them that the meeting would be starting shortly since everybody has arrived. Both MeiZou and Vicky walked out of the room and towards the meeting room.
Inside the meeting room…
When MeiZou and Vicky got there, everybody was already waiting for them. MeiZou’s assistant started giving the presentation, explaining about the product, the marketing, and the expectations for the break-even. While Vicky listened to him and made some notes. After a while, the presentation was done, and Xiao Ting discussed something with the Taiwan General Manager of Hong Yun Ying Hang. Then she stood up…
Vicky-“ Well… after review of the proposal and the presentation. All I can say is… Congratulation, we’re going to be partners in business.”
MeiZou smiled, and stood up to shake hands-“ Thank You Miss Wan Xiao Ting.”
Vicky smiled-“ No problem… MeiZou Jing Li, I’m sure everything will be run smoothly. I can count on you.”
After that everybody left the meeting room, and Xiao Ting followed MeiZou to his office since they needed to discuss something. Without them even realizing it, the time had passed to five thirty and suddenly, his cell phone started ringing…
MeiZou said without looking at the caller ID-“ Wei…?”
XiaoQiao, -“ Wei... MeiZou … it’s me… have you finished your meeting yet?
MeiZou was surprised-“ XiaoQiao … yes I’m done, where are you? Remember we’ll have dinner tonight at Sakura.”
XiaoQiao-“ Yeah I know… but I’m not finished with my work… hmm… what about if I meet you guys there.
MeiZou-“ Oohh… okay you know where it is right? See you then… be careful k?
XiaoQiao-“ Yeah I know… bye MeiZou… love u...”
MeiZou-“ Bye hon… love u too.” Then both of them hung up.
Vicky looked at MeiZou with a hint of amusement in her eyes. MeiZou eyed her cautiously-" Vicky...what are you smiling about?" He said slowly with a bit of caution in his voice.
Vicky-" Nothing...nothing la.." Then she faced the other way to avoid MeiZou seeing her laughing and smiling face. MeiZou walked around and faced Vicky.
MeiZou-" Vicky...what is it? Just let it out. Sooner or later, you're going to burst out laughing. You've always been like that. Just tell me..."
Vicky-" MeiZou...seriously it's nothing. Just that I haven't heard you say "love you" so easily to a girl in a long time..." Then she stopped for a second as memeories suddenly washed over her. Then she shook her head slightly as if pushing them away.
She continued with a smile on her face-" The MeiZou I used to know would do anything to avoid saying those words to a girl..."
MeiZou blushed furiously which was another surprise for Vivky...considering the fact that MeiZou was usually so easy-going and hardly ever embarrassed.
Vicky-" Ayoh...look at yourself...hehe...so cute la..."
MeiZou interrupted-" You.."
Vicky-" Ok la...fine I'll stop." Then she stiffled a giggle." But you really have changed a lot... and I think for the better." MeiZou smiled at Vicky an she smiled back.
MeiZou-" Come on...let's get out of here. We still have to meet them for dinner." Then the two of them walked out of the office.
Then both MeiZou and Xiao Ting walked out of his office. Before he left he had told his secretary that he would go to Japan for three days, if she needed anything just tell his assistant and if there’s an emergency just call him or email him. Then they drove right away to Sakura.
On the way to Sakura…
As soon as MeiZou & Xiao Ting got into the car, Xiao Ting turned on the radio right away, she told MeiZou that she wanted to hear the news, but when she was looking for the radio station, she suddenly stopped it and shouted…
