Back to Taiwan.
It was around six in the evening, the same day MeiZuo & Xiao Ting left for Japan. XiMen and Xiao You were in the car on their way back to Xiao You’s house from the office. She has been living with her aunt since she came back from Canada. While driving the car.
XiMen-“Xiao You, my mom came back this morning.”
Xiao You, shocked-“Oh really?”
XiMen, smiled and looked at her-“Hehe… why are you so surprise?”
Xiao You, shook her head-“ Err… nothing la…”
XiMen, smiled-“Are you afraid to see her?”
Xiao You, looked at him-“ Hmm… it’s not like that…. I….”
XiMen, interrupted-“Then why are you so nervous when you heard my mom has come back? Hehe are you thinking that my mom is just like AhSi’s mom?”
Xiao You, nodded her head-“Hmmm… I think so…”
XiMen, smiled and put his right hand on Xiao You’s shoulder while his left hand still holding the steering wheel-“ Sweetie… nothing to worry about k? She’s not as bad as AhSi’s mother… well… she used to be like that, but after my brother left, she has changed a bit… anyway I’ll convince her that you are the only one can be my wife…. I don’t want any other girl.”
Xiao You blushed-“Thank You XiMen.”
XiMen, smiled-“You are welcome sweetie….. so are you ready to meet my mom?”
Xiao You, smiled-“Hmm… I guess so… as long as you’ll be there with me.”
XiMen, laughed-“ Hehe… of course I’ll be there with you…. Hmmm… What about if we have a dinner this weekend? Is it okay for you?”
Xiao You, smiled-“ Hmm…okay then..”
After a while, they’ve reached Xiao You’s house. Both of them stepped out from the car, XiMen gave her a peck on the cheek, then she walked into the house while XiMen drove back to his house.
When arrived at home, he quickly took a shower and now is ready for dinner. His mom was waiting for him in the dining room. He sat down accross from his mom.
During the dinner
Mrs.XiMen- “How are you doing? How’s work?”
XiMen, smiled-“I’m okay... well work is ok too…. Every day is busy.”
Mrs.XiMen-“Yeah…I’ve heard from your uncle you’ve made a good achievement…. But just wanna remind you don’t forget your personal life…. I didn’t mean lots of meimei…. I’m talking about family life.”
XiMen, smiled” Family life?”
Mrs.XiMen-“ Yeah…. Have you ever thought about getting married?”
Upon hearing this, XiMen told to his self-“ Hmm… I guess this is the right time to talk about Xiao You.”
Mrs. XiMen-“You haven’t found one yet? Well… If that’s it…. A friend of mine, the owner of China Airlines. Her daughter just came back from study abroad. She’s a very pretty girl, we took the same plane when I came back here… If you want I can introduce you to her.”
Upon hearing that, XiMen told to him self-“I'd better tell her about Xiao You now.”
XiMen, looked at his mom-“Mom… I think I have found one.”
Mrs.XiMen, surprised-“ Ooh really? Who is she? I mean how’s her family background? You understand what I mean, don’t you?”
XiMen-“Ooh… her family lives in Canada, she’s a nice and smart lady. She has been working for our company.”
Mrs.XiMen, shocked-“ Ooh really?! You said she works for our company? Do I know her?”
XiMen-“No…. You don’t know her……”
Mrs.XiMen, interrupted-“ Why does she need to work at our company? Is she from a common family and her parent doesn’t own any company?”
XiMen, a bit annoyed-“ Mom…. What do you mean? Why do you say that? I thought you have changed since brother left.”
When she heard about his older son, her face became sad-“XiMen…. That’s not what I mean….. you’re my only son now … I’m only thinking of your happiness, for me it’s doesn’t matter with who do you want to marry, as long as you are happy is fine with me…. I was just thinking of your father, what he's gonna say later, if he know that his in-law is from a common family.”
XiMen, upset-"Mom… why do you always think of dad? Don’t you realize that he never thinks of you?"
When XiMen saw that his mom was really shocked when he said this, he felt guilty since he knew his mom and dad doesn't have a good relationship, he came approaching his mom and sat on the chair next to her-“ Mom… I didn’t mean to say that… please forgive me….” And he held his mom’s hand.
Mrs.Ximen, a bit cheered up-“No problem..” and She tried to change the subject and looked at him-“XiMen…. If you really love this girl…. Why don’t you bring her to me…. Don’t you think that I need to know my future daughter -in-law?” then she smiled.
XiMen, surprised with a big smiled on his face-“Mom…. Really? Is it okay for you if she just came from the common family?”
Mrs. XiMen, smiled-“I don’t mind as long as you are happy……”
XiMen, hugged her right away before she could finish her sentence-“ Mom… thank you so much.”
Mrs. XiMen let go of him-“Hehe… I’m so glad to see you happy.”
XiMen, smiled-“ Mom…. Are you free this weekend? What about we have dinner together on Saturday night?”
Mrs.XiMen, thought for a while-“Hmm… okay… I think I have nothing to do.”
Ximen, smiled and kissed her on her cheek-“Thanks Mom…. I think I’d better call Xiao You now…” Then he stood up and walked over the phone.
Upon seeing XiMen's behaviour, she was so happy, she told to her self-“I’m so glad to see you like this son, I’ll do anything to make you happy, no matter what I’ll talk to your dad. I’ve lost your brother, this time I don’t want to lose you too.”
