Mrs.XiMen, walked in a rush-“XiMen…. Wait!! Wait!!”
XiMen, turned back-“Yes Mom?”
Mrs.XiMen-“Oohh… I just got a phone call, your dad said he will be back this noon for the monthly meeting later today…”
XiMen, surprised-“Ooh really?! Xiao You will be at the meeting also…”
Mrs.XiMen-“Hmmm…. I think you’d better ask her to prepare herself to meet your dad later…. Since I haven’t had a chance to talk to him….”
XiMen, smiled-“Don’t worry mom…. I’ll be there all the time with her, I’m sure everything will be ok….”
Mrs.Ximen, smiled-“I hope so…. Now you go… before you are late…. Don’t you need to pick up Xiao You first?”
XiMen-“Ooh…. Ok mom…I’m leaving….”
Mrs.XiMen-“Drive safely son…. If anything goes wrong…. Just let me know k?”
Ximen-“Ok mom…. Bye…” And he sped up his car away to Xiao You’s house.
After about thirty minutes driving, he reached Xiao You’s house. Xiao You had been waiting for him, when he arrived she got into his car right away, since they have a morning briefing at nine before the monthly meeting in the afternoon with the board of the directors.
On the way to the office.
XiMen-“My dad is coming back this noon for the monthly meeting….”
Xiao You, surprised-“Ooh really?! What should I do?”
XiMen, smiled-“Silly!! You don’t need to do anything….. I just wanna tell you….hmmm…. maybe you need to prepare yourself a bit….. coz you know…. Everytime my dad sees we have new employee, he keeps asking them…. About the job of course…. Till he’s satisfied with your answer…. “
Xiao You, more surprised-“Ooh!!”
XiMen, smiled seeing her reaction-“Hehe…. Sweetie….. don’t be scared la…. He’s not as mean as you think la….. and beside…..I’ll be there with you all the time….. I won’t let him make things hard for you….k?” while placing his right hand on her hand..
Xiao You, force smiled-“Hmm…ok…. Hmmm…. Anyway does he know about our relationship yet?”
XiMen-“Hmm… actually not yet…. my mom hasn’t had a chance to talk with him…. Maybe later tonight… coz….”
Xiao You, curious-“Coz of what?”
XiMen, took a deep breath-“Let me tell you the truth…. Since we’re getting married soon…. Actually between my mom and my dad, they don’t have a very good relationship…. They’re always busy with their own thing…. Once in a while they’ll talk with each other but only about me or the company…..”
Xiao You, surprised-“Why’s that?”
XiMen, gloomy face-“Hmm… actually my mom never really loves my dad… even my dad loves her so much…….and because of this finally my dad looks for other woman….hmm….and actually….they got married just because my grandparents did the matchmaking thing….oohh…. everytime I remember this….I feel my heart ache….”
Xiao You, put her left hand on his shoulder-“XiMen…. Actually you don’t need to tell me this if later just make you hurt…..”
Ximen, force smiled-“Actually… you’re suppose to know…. Sooner or later you will be all be one family… you need to know all of this….”
Xiao You, smiled-“Yeah I know…. I understand how you feel……” then both of them kept silence.
Xiao You told herself-“Oh My God, please help him to solve his family problem….I love him so much…..I don’t want to see him hurt like this…. Please show Your mercy for this family….”
Soon after that, they arrived the office, they rushed into their room, got some stuff ready for the morning meeting, since the time showed five minutes to nine.
