Wang Zi asked Ah Ben if he could drive me home himself. He said he’d give the car back as soon as he can. Ah Ben agreed, sensing his anger.
“Why didn’t you tell me about that agreement?” Wang Zi drove really fast.
“I didn’t know how, Wang Zi. I’m sorry. I was gonna tell you soon but,”
He cut me off, “But Aaron said it first! I looked stupid there, Gui Gui! I looked like I was a naïve, lost little boy!”
“I’m really sorry, I didn’t mean to make you feel that way,” He was still speeding. “Slowdown Wang Zi!” I exclaimed.
“No, I won’t.” He shouted. “I will slowdown if I want to!”
I felt terrible during the whole ride home. We didn’t talk after that. He sped his way to my house and I was scared. I didn’t feel safe, for the first time. I couldn’t stop myself from crying. When we arrived, he stopped the car and didn’t move. He didn’t even look at me.
I wiped my tears and opened the car. “I’m sorry,” And I went inside the house. I went upstairs immediately and looked outside. He was still there, he didn’t leave. I wanted to call him but I wanted to give him time. What I did was wrong and I was really sorry. After a few minutes, he left.
That night, I had a quick shower and cried myself to sleep.
