understand!” ,said Draco. When they got back to Hogwarts there was a note pinned in the Gryffindor Common room. It
said,
To years 4-7! We are having a Christmas Ball. You can invite someone that is younger than year 4! Beauxbatons and
Durmstrang will be joining us very soon. We will notice you when we have finalised the date. I hope everyone have Dress
Robes. If you don’t, you can borrow one form the school. Thank You!
“A Christmas Ball!”, yelled Ron. I’m asking Hermione before that scumbag Malfoy askes her! “Maybe I should ask Cho!”,
said Harry. But then suddenly realising that last year she went with Cedric Diggory and that she still might be upset
about the Ball because it might remind her of the Yull Ball. So Harry dicided that he might not ask her after
all. Hermione was friends once again with Harry and Ron. When Hermione read the sign she screamed “A CHRISTMAS
BALL!?!” Before she could say anything else Ron asked her if she wanted to go to the ball with him. She said yes but
then the thought of Malfoy’s face if she told him she was going with Ron. The next morning at breakfast, Ginny gave
Harry a card that said DO NOT OPEN THIS UNLESS YOU’RE ALONE!! So Harry went to his dormitory and read it while
Ron and Hermione were playing a game of chess. It said,
To Harry,
I just wanted to ask you if you wanted to go to the ball with me. Tell me soon. I’ll be waiting for your answer. Hope to dance with you!
Ginny
Harry was drinking on his butterbeer that he brought back from Hogsmeade and almost choked on it! Ginny wants to go
to the Christmas ball with me? Well there’s no one else that asked me yet! So maybe I’ll just go with her. But what
about Cho? Maybe she would say yes to him if he asked her. Well I guesse it’s too late now! He went down to the Common
Room and found Ginny right away. She seemed to be waiting for his answer since she had a eager look on her
face. “Well O.K! I’ll go with you Ginny”, said Harry. At those words Ginny blushed. She looked like the color of a
rose. “Well I’ll meet you in front of the Great Hall when it’s the day of the dance! Oh and thanks Harry!!”
