to go out with me?” Ginny went brick red but she muttered back, “Sure” Harry was so relieved. He thought she was
gonna say no! After that they went outside to tell Ron and Hermione because they were by the lake. It turned out that
Ron and Hermione were going out too! They only went out for about a day. All four of them sat by the lake watching the
Giant Squid do some kind of flip in the water. Malfoy came and everyone was watching him. “Hermione can I talk to you
alone”, he asked giving a look at the rest of them. “I heard about the rumors that you were going out with Ron
Weasley. Is that true?”
“I’m afraid it is Draco. I’m really sorry. I wanted to tell
you earlier but I couldn’t get the words out. I’m really
really sorry.” “It’s alright. It’s what you want! I don’t
mind. But we’re still friends right?” asked Malfoy. “Of course!”answered Hermione. Malfoy went by the lake and sat
down with the rest of them. “And what do you think you’re doing Malfoy?” asked Harry. “Sitting here by the lake! Is
that against the rules? I’m afraid not!” he answered back. “Please you two! Stop arguing! Let’s just all be
friends ok?” asked Hermione. Malfoy didn’t say anthing. Harry glared at Malfoy. “Now shake hands!” she said. Malfoy
took out his hand but he was glaring at Harry. Harry did the same. They shook hands but let go extremely quickly.
The Giant Squid suddenly shot out of the water and grabed Malfoy and then Malfoy went down the lake with the Squid.
Harry jumped up so quickly his glasses fell but he took no notice. He said some kind of words with his wand out and
the Giant Squid and Malfoy came shooting out. Malfoy landed beside Ron and the Giant Squid dived down the lake looking
furious. “Thanks,” said Malfoy shyly. “No problem”, added Harry. Hermione smiled at herself for such a clever trick.
She made the Squid shoot up and made it grab one of them so that they can be friends after that. Her trick
worked! “Let’s go back inside to eat,” suggested Ron. Everyone followed inside. When they got in it was extremely
noisy. Harry took a quick look at the professors and there was an extra seat right next to Dumbledore. Right that
instant Dumbledore stood up. “I have an announcement to make before we eat our delicious food. We have a new
teacher for the rest of the year. I’m sorry to say that the Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher has just passed away.
But on the happier notes we have found someone to replace them. Everyone please welcome Professor Lupin! I’m sure
everyone here know him. For those who don’t he was the Defence Againt the Dark Arts teacher two years ago here at
Hogwarts.” There were lots of applauding. Harry shot a look at Hermione and Ron and they stared back at him blankly.
Snape was looking extremely unpleasant. He looked as if someone had put poison in his food. After the breakfast,
Harry, Ron, and Hermione went to the DADA classroom to talk to Professor Lupin. “Hullo”, said Lupin. “We wanted to
congratulate you for getting the DADA job again,” said Harry. “Thank you”, he said back. “You three should get
back to your dormitories,” he said. At this the three of them left. Everyone at Hogwarts was excited for having
Lupin back except the Slytherins and Professor Snape. But there was one Slytherin that was as happy as everyone else.
He was with Ginny, Hermione, Harry and Ron. That was the one and only Draco Malfoy.
