because she was scared she's going to be late for her first
lesson. Then there was a ripping noise and her bag was
ripped apart. She was picking up all her stuff when Malfoy
came. "Oh no, not now" whispered Hermione, "great! Just
when I'm running out of time he has to pick a fight with
me!" "Is that you Granger?" asked Malfoy,"need any help
picking up those books of yours?" "No thanks", said
Hermione. She didn't know if he really meant it or if it
was a trick. Malfoy didn't listin to Hermione and started
picking up her books for her. Hermione looked at him,
startled. "Here you go Granger", said Malfoy. "umm...
thanks", said Hermione, suddenly remembering that she had
only 5 minutes to eat her breakfast she said ,"I gotta go."
and then she left. From that day on Malfoy had been quite
nice to her. One day after Care of Magical Creatures
lesson, Hermione was walking with Malfoy to lunch. Harry
and Ron saw them together and then Ron shouted "What do you
think your doing with her?" "Malfoy suddenly had a smirk on
his face and said "Walking with Hermione, do you have a
problem Weasley?" Then Ron looked from Malfoy to Hermione
and then asked Hermione,"What are you doing with him?Don't
you remember that he called you a mud-blood? Hermione
said, "Ron, he changed! He's not as bad as you think he is.
I know he was mean to me before and to you guys but he's
just not the same as he was before! He's a lot nicer!!! Ron
looked startled and outraged at the same time. "He can't
change! He's faking it and then when he gets you to trust
him enough he's going to show the real him and then he
might do something to you and get you really upset! Don't
you see that? HE'S FAKING IT!!", shouted Ron. "Yeah, Ron's
right Hermione. He can't change! he was mean ever since we
first saw him!, said Harry. "You guys can think whatever
you guys want but I'm still Malfoy's friend. I trust him
that he changed, said Hermione. Then she and Malfoy stalked
off.
