I watched with intense admiration. The feeling was not going away. I took two deep breaths to calm my nerves and my heart.
Should I confront him? Greet him and tell him I was in the class that he sang in today? Wait, I'll play it cool, pretend to walk by and notice him. What if he doesn't recognize me? Why would he recognize me? Geez.
"Okay, chill." I told myself. I didn't understand why I was getting so worked up. I shook off the feeling as much as I could and decided to hide out on a street bench just down the street. I was too much of a chicken to go see him. The bench was a reasonable distance from the bar. Hero's heavenly voice was still heard, but it would be hard to see him from here.
I leaned back and closed my eyes.
Just for a second...
Well, I thought it was only for a little bit until---
"Hey! Wake up."
I woke up with a gasp and stared into the eyes of an almost stranger.
"Oh my goodness!"
Jaejoong smiled,"Young girls shouldn't be sleeping out here at this hour, well, you shouldn't be sleeping out here at all."
I looked over to the bar; there was nobody there and it was closing. I had no idea what time it was; I must've fallen asleep longer than expected. How embarrassing. Hero stood infront of me while I tried to get things straight. He adjusted the guitar strap that hugged his chest.
I felt so stupid. He must think I'm some sort of bum or something. I stood up and grabbed my bag, "Yeah," I laughed, "I guess I was more tired than I thought."
"Are you waiting for the bus?" He asked, eyes shimmering in the darkness.
"N-no..."
"Waiting for anyone?"
"Not really..."
There was a silence, but I think I was too tired to notice that it was pretty awkward.
"I should get going." I said quietly, "G'night."
I was so embarrassed and angry at myself that my hands turned into fists. I squeezed them so tightly, I could feel my nails digging into my palms.
"Hey wait!"
I stopped after hearing his voice but I didn't turn around to face him.
"I'll see you tomorrow..." He said.
'What!?' I thought.
I turned around to look at him but he was already walking in the opposite direction.

When I got home, I dropped my bag at the side of my desk and threw myself onto the bed.
I was exhausted.
All I really wanted to do was sleep, but I had a math assignment due tomorrow as well as a unit test. It sucked. A lot.
I grabbed a pillow and hugged it, "Argg! I can't believe I fell asleep outside, on a fricken bench!"
I closed my eyes, careful not to fall asleep again.
All I could think about was Hero, how could anyone be so goodlooking like that and not be a superstar, or a model for godsakes! ...And yet I was with him, if only for a little bit, tonight.
It was 1:15 am and I cracked opened my books and began a long night of calculus after checking on grandpa.
Staring at the numbers did nothing in erasing the things that I saw and did today. It was especially vivid. What did he mean by, 'see you tomorrow?'
Math wasn't the only thing that was puzzling...

"Hey sexy."
"Hey Seul gi, Yeon hee; I haven't seen you guys all morning."
Seul gi puts her arm around my shoulder, "Yeah we missed you."
"Of course." I say making a joke, "Of course you missed me!"
"Now don't we look dazzling today," says Yeon hee leaning in, examining my face.
I guess she noticed.
After an almost all-nighter - I fell asleep for an hour - I put on some make up. A little eye liner and concealer, maybe some lip gloss too.
"All nighter?" They ask.
"Yeah," I say shyly.
There was a silence and I could see Yeon hee and Seul gi looking at each other, trying to hold back their giggles.
It could only mean one thing:
"Hi Boa!" said a smiling black haired boy, "how are you today?"
"Hey, Kim Bum, I'm good, how 'bout you?"
I shifted uncomfortably.
"Fine."
Seul gi began pulling Yeon hee away from the scene,"We'll leave you two alone!"
I gave her my death glare and she mouthed out 'call me' and winked.
Kim Bum laughed and pulled up a seat beside me. I watched desperately as my two backstabbing best friends exited the cafeteria.
"Anything new?" He asked.
I loved Kim Bum, but only as a friend. Too bad he didn't realize it...
"Not really." I flashed him a sweet smile.
He moved closer and put his hand on mine, "How is your grandfather feeling? Is he better now?" As a reflex I pulled my hand back.
"Yeah a lot better, thanks for asking --- Oh! Look at the time! I should be going now, see you later!" I got up and he caught my wrist. I felt an uncomfortable shiver run down my spine.
"Wait, lunch just started." He said, with a worried expression on his face.
My mind came up with an excuse, "I have to do, um... library! I have to return some books."
"Oh, I'll come with you."
"No, no, it's okay!"
"It's really no problem."
"You have to stay and eat lunch." I turned around and saw Changmin walk into the caf, "Hey Changmin!"
He came over,"Come have lunch with Kim Bum okay?"
"Oh sure..."
And then I ran out of the cafeteria.
I felt bad for ditching him like that, but it had to be done. I had no feelings for him and I would only hurt him in the long run.
There was another half hour before I had writer's craft class. With a sigh I walked down the hallway and into the music room. I usually come in here during my spare time and practise the songs I had written. As I stepped into the dim lighting of the music room I heard a sweet melody on the guitar.
"Hello again." called a smooth, velvet voice.
I turned around and locked gaze with him. He was too breathtaking and I felt my lungs struggling for air until I could remember to breathe.
"H-hi." I stuttered.
His white t-shirt clung to his toned frame. He was sitting on a desk in a corner with the guitar resting on his knee.
He smiled, "I'm glad you got home safely; did you get enough sleep?"
"Yeah." I lied, "but w-what are you doing here?"
He laughed, "I'm your assignment."
"Hm?"
"You have writer's craft next don't you? 'Not sure if Mr. Lee told you but, you--" He hopped of the desk and walked towards me "--have to write lyrics to my instrumental."
"Me?" I asked.
"Yeah."
"Oh, but don't I have a choice?"
"Are you willing to do it?"
"I guess--"
"Then there we go."
I was confused.
"You look confused." He said, reading my mind.
"I'm not," I lied again. This guy was unbelievable.
I took off my bag and dropped it on a desk behind me without breaking eye contact with him.
"So really," I said, "What do you really do, instead of going around at night and playing at clubs?"
I looked down at his shoes: dark green converses. They looked new too. And his shirt; I've seen it somewhere in an expensive store. Who knew playing night clubs could pay so much...
"That's what I do." He said simply, "Why? Don't believe me?"
I stood frozen.
He leaned in and whispered in my ear, "You can come with me one night, and I'll prove it to you."
His hot breath swept past my ear and I shivered. My knees became weak. He leaned back and smiled. I couldn't tell if he was joking or not; I got the hint that he wasn't.
It was quiet.
Too quiet.

My ringtone came on; it was After school's Ah. We both looked away as I pulled my cell out of my back pocket.
Seul gi sent a text message: 'where r u loser, Kim B said you left. He's looking for u.' I closed the phone and put it back into my pocket.
"Boyfriend?" He said looking at me but not facing me.
"Does it matter?" I gave him a smirk and grabbed my bag, "I have 15 minutes before class starts. I'll see you then."
He smirked too. As I left the room, I saw from the corner of my eye that he took a step towards me as if hesitating whether to let me go or not...
