"Rose! Have some lotus sweet soup, I saved it especially for you!" Ying Gei (Yvonne Lam) hands her a warm bowl.
"Are you comfortable? If not, you can have my pillow!" Ah Yuet (Michael Tse) inquires.
"Are you enjoying the TV program? If not, we'll change the channel!" Gam (Louis Yuen) offers.
"That's right, your every wish and desire will be met," Ah Lo (Bondy Chiu) says.
"Why is everyone so nice to me tonight?" Rose (Kenix Kwok) playfully demands.
"You brought back face for the Kam family!" Ah Yuet answers.
"I wish I had a camera! The look of anger on your face as you slapped Man Gwai Fei and her look of shock was just priceless! I wish I could replay that scene. Finally, someone dared to yell at and hit Man Gwai Fei!" Gam says.
"I couldn't believe it," Ah Lo confesses, "I always thought that Rose was a meek girl!"
Rose blushes. She hoped that the Kams would forget about the incident of that day because she had accidentally let her bitter side emerge. Luckily, the tears that she had shed were enough to wash away any suspicion doubting her character.
"That's right, but then again, Man Gwai Fei deserves it!"
"I'm sorry, I don't know what overcame me... it's just that she was so mean..." Rose quietly says.
"We understand!"
Ah Nin (Frankie Lam) laughs, "It looks like you're going to be their saint for awhile because you took revenge for them!"
[Gwai Fei's Apartment]
Man Gwai Fei (Stephanie Che) screamed at the top of her lungs.
"Cousin, calm down!" Gwai Yan (Celine Ma) urges. "What if the neighbors call the police on us?"
"Didn't you see what happened today? That bitch slapped me! I won't take this."
"What are you going to do?"
"I'll fire her!"
"The boss wouldn't side with you today, what makes you think he'll let you fire her?"
"Are you trying to comfort me or piss me off?"
Gwai Yan sighs, "I'm depressed, Fei Fei!"
"What's your problem now?"
"I think I'm in love."
"With who?"
"Kam Nin."
Gwai Fei bursts out laughing, "Chris? Are you nuts?"
"Aren't you attracted to him?"
"Me? Yan Yan, you know I can't stand him! He's so irritating!"
"Ah Nin is so handsome and cool! He's the one for me, Fei Fei."
Gwai Fei rolls her eyes, "Ah Nin? You don't know him well enough to call him that! In fact, you don't know him at all!"
"It's love with a perfect stranger."
"Don't you know Chris is already taken?"
"That makes it ever the more exciting!"
"Do you think you can beat..." A scheme formulates in Gwai Fei's head. "You know what, Yan Yan? You can do it!"
"Fei Fei, you support me?"
"Of course, how could I not? In fact, I'll even tell you how to get him." Gwai Fei smiles maliciously.
["Ka Yan" Company]
"Ah Nin," Gwai Yan grabs his hand as he walks to his office. Her heart nearly fell out of her chest as she touched him for the first time. She couldn't believe that she had mustered up the courage to follow through with what Gwai Fei had told her to do.
"Yes, Gwai Yan?" Ah Nin is puzzled as to what she wanted.
"Don't be so distant! Call me 'Yan Yan.'"
"What do you want?"
"I need you to confirm these figures for me." Gwai Yan hands him a book.
"This?"
"Yes." She leans on his chest and inhales deeply. "You smell so good!"
"Uh, thanks." Ah Nin quickly moves away, causing Gwai Yan to fall flat on the ground!
"Ah Nin, why did you move away?"
"There wasn't enough light."
"Oh, I see! I don't want you straining your beautiful eyes."
Gwai Yan stands behind Ah Nin as he checks the booklet. She tries her best to stop drooling, but being so close to Ah Nin made it impossible for her. She was sure that Ah Nin would make the best husband for her. "Fei Fei was right, I am sure close to Ah Nin now," Gwai Yan grins.
Rose watches the scene with contempt as she worked on her designs. She wanted to explode seeing Gwai Yan drooling all over Ah Nin. Desperate times call for desperate needs. She walks to the bathroom and makes a phone call. "Michael? Is everything settled with Ella? Good. Listen, I need you to do something else for me."
[Streets]
Every day after work had concluded at "Ka Yan" company, Gwai Yan would take a stroll down a street full of rich bachelors, hoping for a good catch. She flashes her eyes, pouts her lips, and walks seductively. Every day she would feel wanted because everyone would always look at her, even if they were actually snickering behind her back after she had walked passed them.
"Hey baby," she calls as she fluffs up her hair.
She stops in her tracks. "How can I still do this? I can't be unfaithful to Ah Nin! No, I surely will not have an affair. I am now someone's woman. No more of this! I don't want to get punished for loving more than one!" As Gwai Yan was debating this issue, a bucket of red paint falls from above and covers her whole body! She screams and runs away in horror. That day, Gwai Yan got more stares and attention than she had ever gotten before.
Rose gleams as she appears from the corner of the street.
