Gwai Fei (Stephanie Che) was enjoying a taped "Gai Dai Foon Siu" episode when her door abruptly opens and in steps a bloody red person. She screams at the top of her lungs and runs away, shouting, "Oh my god! It's the devil! What have I done to warrant a visit from him?"
"Fei Fei," Gwai Yan (Celine Ma) beckons in a monotonous voice.
"My god, even his voice is scary! What am I to do? Garlic? No, that's only for vampires. A cross... a bible? Oh, yes! But wait... oh no! I'm not Christian! I don't have a bible." Gwai Fei bites her nails.
"Come back here, Fei Fei!" Gwai Yan sticks out her hands and runs after Gwai Fei, who continues to scream and dart. "I need you to share my woes. It's your duty. You must listen to me and come back here."
"Share your anguishes? No, no! I refuse to share the sorrow of an evil person!"
"Fei Fei."
Gwai Fei finds herself stuck in a corner with nowhere to go. Gwai Yan slowly approaches Gwai Fei, but before she reaches her, she trips on an electrical cord and bumps her head on the ground! Gwai Yan is knocked unconscious.
"I've just killed the devil! Should I be happy? Oh! Maybe I'll be promoted to a god now and everyone will praise and worship Man Gwai Fei! Yes! Let me tie this devil up so I can bring him to God." To her dismay, when she examines the "devil" closely, it turns out to only be her damned cousin!
(An Hour Later)
Gwai Yan wakes up on the couch feeling tired and with a big bump on her forehead.
"You've awaken?" Gwai Fei asks.
"What happened?"
"That's what I'd like to know! Why the hell are you covered in red paint? You gave me a scare!"
"It's punishment, Fei Fei!"
"What do you mean, Yan Yan?"
"God is jealous of my beauty, so he sent down red paint and covered me with it!"
"Uh... ok?"
"It's true! Out of nowhere, red paint fell down on me!"
"Where were you standing?"
"On the streets."
"Where there are a lot of tall buildings and apartments?"
Gwai Yan nods. "Oh my! This means that God lives in those tall buildings! I have to tell the news."
Gwai Fei rolls her eyes, "So why are you persistent that God wanted to punish you?"
"My beauty will lead to my downfall. I'm too sought after by many men!"
Gwai Fei thinks to herself, "If so, you wouldn't have to come to Hong Kong to find a husband!"
Gwai Yan continues, "I'm in love with Ah Nin and I'm his woman now, but so many other men want me as well! I've had an affair, even if it was only through eye contact and not as deep as my love with Ah Nin. What am I to do, Fei Fei?"
At the mention of Ah Nin, Gwai Fei's ears perks up, "So did my plan work?"
"Yes! I've gotten closer to him, more than ever before."
"Did that Rose do anything?"
"Fei Fei, when I'm with Ah Nin, do you think I have the interest or desire to take my eyes off of him?"
"Anyways, clean that paint off! I'm getting the creeps looking at you covered in red." She continued in her mind, "As if I don't already get the creeps by looking at you without your makeup on!"
[Kam Family Apartment, Ah Nin & Rose's Bedroom]
Rose (Kenix Kwok) folds her arm and turns away from Ah Nin (Frankie Lam) as she sits on the bed.
"Rose, what's wrong? You haven't spoken to me all day!"
Rose gives a soft grunt and covers her ears with her hands.
"I don't get it. I thought women liked it when men talk to them and give them their attention. That's what I'm doing, aren't I?"
She continues to ignore him.
Ah Nin continues, "How can I understand you if you don't tell me what's wrong? What did I do? I really don't know! I've been a good boy and waited patiently until our wedding night. You women are too complex!"
"Oh, so I'm too complicated and irritate you?" Rose bitterly replies.
"Can you please tell me what I did wrong? I don't like this feeling of not talking to you!"
"You have a bunch of other people to talk to now. Since you've gotten more of your memories back, you seem to be forgetting all about me! Before you said you didn't care about the past and that I'm your present and future, but now I see that I'm your past!"
"Is this what it's all about? That's not true! I love you, honestly."
"I'm no longer the only person who can make you happy."
"Why are you thinking so selfishly?"
"I'm a woman."
"What can I do to prove to you that my love for you is profound?"
"I'm not important enough to you. Why don't you go find other women... like you did today."
Ah Nin blinks, "What are you talking about? I've been trying to reach out to you all day!"
"Clearly a 'siu jeh' (rich miss) is not good enough for you but you want a 'gwai yan' (royal concubine lady)."
"Oh! You're talking about Yan Yan?"
"You dare to call her such an intimate name in front of me?" Rose slaps him and walks towards the door.
Ah Nin grabs her before she has a chance to leave. "Don't go. You know you're the only one for me."
"How can I when other women flutter to you all the time?"
"You have to trust me."
"I do, but I don't trust them. You're a man, after all."
"Shouldn't you be happy that your husband-to-be is so attractive? Besides, you're equally as attractive, Rose, but you don't see me getting all jealous whenever some dude stares at you." The two share a soft and quiet kiss. "You have to believe me. There's no one else for me besides you. I can promise that."
Rose grins, "Very well!"
"Besides," Ah Nin adds, "Do you think my taste is that bad to go for someone like Man Gwai Yan? If so, how could I appreciate a woman of high quality like you? If, I stress if, I were to leave you, it would be for someone at least attractive... like Joey or something!"
Rose grows bitter at mention of Joey's name, but manages to force a laugh, "In any case, you better not leave me... otherwise..." She bites his nose playfully and lightly.
["Ka Yan" Company]
"Ah Nin," Gwai Yan holds out a pair of tickets and says in a sexy voice, "Care to join a lonely lady?"
"I would if I was a lonely man, but I'm not."
"What?"
"I just want to make it clear that I'm already taken. I don't have any interest to have an affair. Sorry."
"But we shared such an intimate moment the other day!"
"We're in the office now, please get to work and stop doing nonsensical things!" Ah Nin scolds.
Gwai Yan pouts and looks towards her cousin's office. This glance gives Rose the confirmation that she needed. Rose smiles proudly at Gwai Fei, who had been watching the scene from her office window.
