Ah Sing (Hawick Lau) carried Fiona (Sherming Yiu) in his arms. The two emerged from the ocean's waves. Although Fiona was lifeless, Ah Sing could feel her heart still beating. She was still warm. He lays her body on the golden sands and performs CPR on her right away. He presses down on her chest and blows air into her mouth. "You have to make it. We both survived the fall from the cliff and I saved you from drowning. Don't give up now!" he shouts.
He becomes despair when he sees no response from Fiona. "How can you die now? We've been through so much! Can you really leave me alone on this island? Don't be selfish and escape this island by yourself!" Ah Sing tries to suppress the tears, but they escape from his eyes and land on Fiona's face anyways.
The moment Ah Sing's tears touch Fiona's face, she coughs up water.
"Fiona?" Ah Sing cries excitedly.
"A-are y-you c-c-crying?" Fiona says in a weak voice.
Ah Sing speedily wipes off the tears from his face, "Of course not! They're just water droplets from the ocean."
"I'm sorry," she apologizes.
"Sorry? About what? You're alive! What more could I ask for?"
"I fell from the cliff trying to save the swing that you gave me, but the ocean stole it from me again."
"It doesn't matter if it's lost!"
"You made it for me and now it's gone."
Ah Sing held Fiona's hands within his, "Even though the swing is gone, the love that I had for you when I made that swing is still there." He moves their hands to his chest. "Right here, in my heart. It's not lost."
Fiona gasps, "You love me?"
"I do," Ah Sing confesses in a sincere tone.
Fiona hugs Ah Sing, "I love you as well... that was why the swing was so important to me."
The two embraced each other for hours as the waves crashed along the shore.
(Nighttime)
That night, Fiona and Ah Sing held hands as they each slept in their own bed of leaves.
Ah Sing confides, "I was really worried that I would lose you."
"I'll be safe with you because you're my lucky 'star,'" Fiona smiles.
"What if we never get off this island?"
"We can just live with each other for the rest of our lives."
Ah Sing laughs, "Are we going to be like 'Cheung Chiu San' and 'Yan Soh Soh'?"
"Maybe this island was a blessing for us. It could be our own 'Fire Ice Island.'"
"Didn't you want to go back home?"
"I did, but that was when I felt lonely."
"You don't anymore?"
"Since I've met you, my days haven't been lonely anymore. When I was a princess back on the Islands, even though people always surrounded me, I still felt as if I was alone. I wasn't sure who was genuine and who's intentional wasn't deceptive. You were the first person who dared to mess with me so much! I admit I was upset at first, but that's what I like about you. You're honest and true towards me. Even if I can't return to what I had before, I'll be happy enough as long as each day is with you," Fiona kisses Ah Sing lightly.
"So the princess is going to wed with a peasant?" he jokes.
(Next Day)
Fiona spent hours collecting feathers, leaves, tiny twigs, and small pieces of lovely rocks. She smiled as she worked on decorating the volleyball that they had found a few days ago. Luckily for her, she managed to find and use the natural glue from the sticky sap of the bark of trees. She beamed proudly at the finished volleyball. It resembled the face of a human. Its two eyes were made of vibrant green leaves. The ears were red feathers from a bird. Two twigs were bent to form the shape of the eyebrows. The nose and grinning mouth were strategically placed rocks.
Fiona hopped towards Ah Sing, who was cooking their lunch above the flames of a fire. "Ah Sing!" she cheerfully calls and hands him the volleyball. "You made me a swing, so now I've made something to signify our love. We found this volleyball on our second day on this island. I thought it was an omen that we would die here, but you made me see that it's our light of hope. It brought us together."
Ah Sing grabs her hand and the two are on their knees in front of the volleyball. "Not only will it be a symbol, it will also testify our love," Ah Sing explains, "Raise up your right hand and we'll take a vow."
The two proclaim in unison, "May you protect and keep us together always."
(Nighttime)
Ah Sing and Fiona walk together slowly along the sandy shores. "You know," Fiona confesses, "This place is quite beautiful. When we got here, we were too stressed and worried to admire how gorgeous this island actually is. We thought it was a cursed place because we were stranded on it."
"Like you said, this is our own 'Fire Ice Island'!"
"Maybe we'll have our own 'Mo Kei.' It's so nice and peaceful here."
Ah Sing chuckles, "You're thinking too far ahead, Fiona! What if we get off this island?"
"You'll leave me if we get off this island?"
"No, of course I won't!"
"Then why are you so eager to get off?"
"Don't you miss your family and friends?"
Fiona nods.
"Exactly."
"Let me ask you something, Ah Sing, am I your first love?" Fiona questions.
Ah Sing's heart races. This question triggered his memories of Ah Lam (Linda Chung) that had been submerged since he'd been with Fiona. He wasn't sure whether or not he should tell her about Ah Lam.
"Well?" she asks again.
"You're not," Ah Sing finally admits.
"Who was your first?"
"It doesn't matter now that I'm with you."
"But I'm curious. I want to know," Fiona urges.
"It was a childhood relationship. We knew each other since we were kids and grew up together. I've always liked her... and for a long time too. However, I realized that she had a black heart and broke up with her."
"I guess we won't have a future either."
"Why do you say that?"
"You knew her for years and yet the two of you still broke up. We've been together for a mere days."
"You're different. That girl was cold-hearted and money-hungry. That was why my love for her died. From the days that we've spent together, I find that you're sweet and kind. Why would you want to be compared with someone like that?"
"So I'm the only girl in your heart?"
Ah Sing gulps, "Yes." He glances at the teeth mark on his arm. Ah Lam would forever have an imprint in his mind. Even if his heart belonged with Fiona, there would always be a faint and dull image of Ah Lam.
"You're my first love," Fiona admits, "In the past, everyone was too worried and scared to woo me. It was because of my position as a princess. No one dared to date me or even approach me to be my friend. As I looked out of the windows of my palace, I would envy everyone who had friends and lovers. Being a princess isn't all that it's made up to be. I'm glad I have you to be both my friend and lover."
"When we get off this island, I'll make sure to show you the world," Ah Sing promises.
"Good! The red walls of the palace bore me. Promise you'll never leave me."
"I won't," Ah Sing vows. He hides his arm with the teeth mark behind his back.
They kissed each other passionately under the moonlight and stars.

Ah Sing grinned. He finally knew where Fiona was!
