“How old are you?”
“I am 23,” Park Yoochun answered, then quickly added, “But I have a lot of experience in taking care of other people. I grew up with five younger siblings.”
“You are quite young. I don’t think you understand what you’re getting yourself into,” his interviewer, a woman with pepper-salt hair, frowned.
“I can cook, clean, and…”
“Those are the least of my concerns. You see…,” the older woman began, trying her best to look into the young man’s eyes so she would not rudely stare at Yoochun’s…less than perfect attributes. “Mr. Kim was in a vehicle accident. A blood clot formed and has caused him to lose his sight. He has chosen to stay in his home on an isolated island and demands to be alone. Only you and he will be there for the months to come until he recovers.”
“I am aware,” Yoochun nodded politely. His hands were fidgeting and wished he had his hat on. Unfortunately, a hat was unprofessional for a job interview.
“I am afraid you are not aware that he is paying such a high salary for a caretaker because he has a history of scaring off thirteen of them already.”
Yoochun nodded again, “I am also aware of his…unusual temper.”
“Yes, ‘unusual’,” the woman pushed her glasses up on her nose and looked down at the file in her hand. There was only one piece of paper in it: Yoochun’s application.
“I will be able to handle this job,” Yoochun tried to assure.
“Very well,” she sighed. “It seems I have no other candidate for this job. Be at the airport at six tomorrow morning and there will be a private jet that will take you to the island.”
“Thank you!” Yoochun grinned.
The woman raised her head from his application form to look at him because she was surprised by his relieved tone. Like all others, he noticed that her eyes automatically landed on the left side of his face.
Yoochun consciously raised a hand to cover the left side of his face (pretending to fix his tidy hair) and lowered his head, pretending to bow as he repeated, “Thank you.”
The older woman was obviously feeling guilty, but Yoochun didn’t blame her. She kindly explained that she had a meeting to attend so Yoochun followed her out of the office.
Since the interview was over, he uncovered his hat from his pocket and skillfully adjusted it over his head, making sure to bring his long hair forward to cover as much of his face as possible.

A/N: This story is actually a rewrite of a story that was written a couple years ago. I got permission to rewrite it (and to change it to a BxB story).
