“Changmin was supposed to be behind the bushes recording the whole scene! And Se7en was supposed to help…”
“Oh, my goodness! Where are Changmin and Se7en?” Yunho interrupted.
Yoochun and Junsu turned to Jaejoong with wide questioning eyes. Jaejoong rubbed his chin, and then snapped his fingers as if a light bulb had just gone off. “We forgot to tell them that the plan is a flop.”
“You guys didn’t call them?” Yoochun exclaimed.
“No reception up in the mountains,” Yunho reminded.
“Look at how dark it is outside! They’re still in the mountains? That’s dangerous!” Yoochun grew hysteric. “What if something happens to them? I promised Se7en that I would take care of Umma!”
“You promised ‘Umma’ that you would take care of ‘Se7en’,” Jaejoong corrected innocently.
“I can’t think straight right now!” Yoochun shouted.
“Yoochun, calm down, they’ll be okay,” Junsu held one of Yoochun’s hand and laid another hand on his shoulder. “Changmin practiced martial arts when he was a kid. He’ll be able to protect Se7en.”
Yoochun looked into Junsu’s comforting eyes and took deep breaths. He soaked in Junsu’s soft smile and tried to calm down.
“Changmin will protect Se7en?” Yoochun murmured like a lost child.
Junsu felt his heart melt at how weak and lost Yoochun looked. He pulled Yoochun into a soothing embrace and tried to assure, “Changmin will protect Se7en.”
The four gathered some gears (jackets, flashlights, baseball bats, etc.) and headed for the mountains.

“They’re extremely late,” Se7en mumbled as he glanced at his watch. Today was a rather cloudy day so the sun disappeared early and it looked like it was going to rain later. “What are we supposed to do? What if they suddenly show up? We don’t have reception on our phones so we can’t call them.”
“Se7en?”
Se7en stopped poking at his digital watch and turned to look at the man kneeling beside him in the bushes. It was dark and he had a bit of trouble seeing Changmin’s face, especially when the bushes were causing shadows.
“What is it?” the younger man replied.
“Want to know a secret?” Changmin said. His voice sounded weird; Se7en couldn’t figure out why.
But Se7en felt giddy. Changmin was going to share a secret with him! That means they’ve become close and that Changmin trusts Se7en, right? Right?
“Well, we’re waiting anyway so we might as well get to know each other!” Se7en murmured shyly, unable to prevent the grin that was plastered over his face.
“Se7en,” Changmin began in a serious tone. “I’m…”
Se7en stopped grinning like an idiot when he noticed that Changmin had shifted closer and closer. Their shoulders and thighs were aligned and touching.
“Um…Changmin?” Se7en was confused and felt slightly scared. The other man was still moving closer and closer.
They weren’t even official yet. Se7en wasn’t even sure he really is in love with Changmin! Isn’t it too early to be getting this close?
“Se7en, I’m…” he stammered, as if not knowing how to put his thoughts into words.
Se7en was facing ahead and he tensed when he felt Changmin’s breath on his cheek. The taller man had turned his head and was looking at Se7en. It’s getting a bit creepy.
“You’re…?” Se7en gulped, wondering if he should be afraid of this ‘secret’.
“I’m a…”
The strike of lightning boomed in the cloudy sky and Se7en jumped a little. Then he felt arms wrap around himself and Changmin practically tackled him into the ground. When Se7en opened his shocked eyes, he saw that Changmin’s eyes were only inches away from his own.
“You’re a rapist!” Se7en shouted as he pushed Changmin off. He jumped onto his feet and tried to run.
Changmin was pushed away, but he immediately jumped back to hug Se7en tightly, crying, “I’m afraid of the dark!”
Se7en froze. He looked down at the head that was against his chest and the long arms that were chaining his own arms to his sides.
Changmin was afraid of the dark?
Se7en mentally slapped himself for thinking Changmin was a rapist. How stupid!
Then he struggled to get one arm out of Changmin’s firm hold. With his free hand, he soothed Changmin’s mass of hair and spoke in a comforting tone, “Don’t worry, it’s okay to be afraid of the dark.”
“You don’t think I’m stupid for being afraid of the dark?” the taller man stammered in a shaking voice.
“Of course not! It’s cute,” Se7en grinned.
“Don’t tell anyone. Only Junsu and Yunho know, but I have things to blackmail them with that will prevent them from revealing this secret.”
“How do you plan on blackmailing me?”
“I’ll figure something out later,” Changmin replied. His tone contained less fear and more bliss now.
“You’re enjoying this position, aren’t you?” Se7en raised an eyebrow, even though Changmin wouldn’t be able to see it.
It was an awkward position. Se7en had jumped up to stand on his feet to better defend himself (or just run) from the suspected ‘rapist’. Changmin had jumped back towards Se7en, slouching forward with knees bent and arms around the younger man’s waist; his head was against Se7en’s chest, almost like a child hugging an adult.
“It’d be nice if you were taller; my back is starting to hurt,” Changmin murmured.
“Stop complaining,” Se7en chuckled, his hand still playing with Changmin’s hair.
“Se7en!”
“Changmin!”
Changmin and Se7en heard the voices and saw the oncoming ray of lights. They quickly jumped away from each other, like a secret couple getting caught in the act.
“We’re over here!” Se7en grabbed Changmin’s arm and ran out from behind the bushes.
“Se7ennie!” Yoochun exclaimed happily, running towards his brother to embrace him like a baby.
Changmin was happy to see flashlights, and with the little bit of light, he was able to act tough, “What the hell took so long?”
“We’ll explain later,” Junsu replied.
“This better be good! Look at all those mosquito bites on Se7en’s face and arms! I knew I shouldn’t have trusted Jaejoong’s plans…” Changmin began to ramble. It helped to talk a lot in his process of trying to ‘act tough’.
“If you keep rambling, I’m going to turn off all these flashlights,” Yunho threatened in a calm voice.
Changmin shut up and just glared.
“Hyung, stop cradling me, this is embarrassing,” Se7en muffled into Yoochun’s shirt.
“Shut up,” Yoochun retorted as he continued to hug his baby brother.

“So you and he are officially dating, right?”
Yoochun covered his mouth to release a small burp, and then placed the can of orange juice onto the table. “Are you asking me or Jaejoong?”
“I don’t have to worry about Jaejoong getting official with Yunho. They’ll shamelessly jump each other eventually,” Se7en brushed off.
Jaejoong glared at Se7en for a second before turning back to his cell phone to text Yunho. They had a date tonight and Jaejoong just wanted to verify the time and place for the fifth time (and to ask Yunho what he should wear).
Yoochun chuckled. “They have a date tonight. Maybe ‘eventually’ will be sooner than we think.”
“Should I prepare for Yunjae babies?” Se7en winked at Jaejoong.
“I’ll adopt you and you can be our kid,” Jaejoong countered. “I’ll only feed you vegetables and take away all your video games.”
Se7en clung onto Yoochun’s arm at the horrifying thought of being Jaejoong’s child. “Don’t ever let it happen to me, Hyung.”
Yoochun laughed, “Don’t worry. Jaejoong will be a bad Umma, but Yunho should be a great Appa.”
“The problem is that Appa is a sucker for anything Umma does so he’ll always side with Umma,” Se7en whined.
“Go to your room, you ungrateful child!” Jaejoong threw a pillow at Se7en. The youngest of the three easily caught it and smirked. Jaejoong glared, “He’s learning to be snarky from the doctor. Get your baby brother away from the guy or you’ll regret it, Yoochunnie!”
“Changmin is a better influence on me than you are!” Se7en stuck his tongue out to mock. Jaejoong made a mean face for revenge on the younger man.
Yoochun rolled his eyes. Then, with a serious expression, he took Se7en’s hand in both of his own hands, “You really like Changmin?”
Se7en grew serious as well. “Um…yeah, I guess so. Do you not want me to be with him? I promise; he’s a really good person. I won’t let a relationship interrupt my schooling and work.”
“Say ‘no,’ Yoochunnie! Say ‘no’!” Jaejoong spoke in an eerie voice.
“No,” Yoochun began, and paused to make the situation a bit more dramatic.
“What? But…” Se7en looked scared out of his wits.
