At the hospital, Eun Ki was holding Seung Ri's hand talking about how they first met.
Eun Ki: Do you remember the time when we first met? You found me in a rubbish bin. You thought I'm drunk but I'm actually not. I was taking photo of Ji Yong. I’m a freelance photographer. I didn’t mean to lie but I’m embarrassed. (Paused) Honey, you have been asleep for so long. It’s time for you to wake up… I really miss you. (Sobbing)
Without her noticing, Ji Yong has been standing near the room listening to Eun Ki’s woes.

Ji Yong’s POV:
Am I a murderer?

He slowly went to Eun Ki.
Ji Yong: Eun Ki, don’t be like this. I’m sure Seung Ri doesn’t want to see you like this.
Eun Ki: Oh it’s you…I’m sorry I’m just really upset.
Ji Yong: Let’s get out. We should let Seung Ri rest. (Taking Eun Ki’s hand)

At the café
Eun Ki: Thanks for helping me to pay for Seung Ri’s hospital bills. I’m so grateful. I don’t know how to repay you…
Ji Yong: Don’t mention it; you don’t need to pay me back. Seung Ri is like a younger brother to me.
Eun Ki: Thanks a lot. I’m sorry about scolding you the other day.
Ji Yong: It’s ok…we’re friends right?
Eun Ki: Yup. Good friend. (Smiled) I want to go meet Seung Ri first before going to work. You want to come along?
Ji Yong: Sure.

As they were about to reach Seung Ri’s room, both of them saw the doctor and nurses rushing to his room. They immediately went inside to see what’s happening.
Eun Ki: What’s wrong with him?
Nurse: I’m sorry but I’m afraid you have to wait outside.
Eun Ki: No! I want to see him!!! (Shouting)
Ji Yong: Let’s wait outside. (He whispered to Eun Ki’s ear)
Ji Yong brings Eun Ki outside, and they sit at the bench while waiting for the doctor.
After a long wait, the doctor came out.
Eun Ki: Is everything ok doctor?
Doctor: I’m sorry. He didn’t make it. His body isn’t responding and he seems to be giving up in living. I’m so sorry.
Eun Ki: No you must be mistaken. It’s not Seung Ri. You got the wrong person! (Half yelling)
Ji Yong: Eun Ki braced yourself. You still have me. Don’t be sad. (Hugs Eun Ki)
Eun Ki cried while entering the room together with Ji Yong. He slides open the cover and show Seung Ri’s pale and stiff face.
Eun Ki: Baby, why do you have to leave me? How am I going to survive without you? (Hugs Seung Ri)

Ji Yong’s POV:
At last you decide to go my friend. I’ll take care of your sweetheart. Don’t worry. Rest in peace. (He smirked)

After the funeral, Eun Ki drowns herself in her tears with hope of feeling better. She went to Seung Ri’s apartment with Ji Yong to take her belongings. As she was searching, she saw a card which had her name written on it. She began reading it.
“For my sweet Eun Ki,
By the time you read this letter it will be our first year together. I still remember the day when you were drunk in the rubbish bin. Never did I wonder that you will be my girl. I really hope you will be by my side forever. Love you my dear.”
Tears flow as she read the letter. Alongside the letter there’s a ring with her name and Seung Ri’s name engraved on it. She cried even more.
Ji Yong: Eun Ki, what’s wrong? (Eun Ki hands the letter to Ji Yong) Let’s go home. It’s getting dark.

In Ji Yong’s car
Eun Ki: Can you stop here for a while? I need to buy something from the pharmacy.
Ji Yong: Do you need me to follow you?
Eun Ki: It’s ok. You just wait here in the car. I’ll be back in a minute.

Eun Ki’s POV:
Am I doing the right thing? I guess this is the only way for me to be with Seung Ri. (Grab a packet of sleeping pills and pay for it)

In Ji Yong’s car
Ji Yong: What did you buy?
Eun Ki: Nothing. Just some toiletries.
Ji Yong: Let me see.
Eun Ki: No! It’s really nothing.
Ji Yong sense that something is not right. Upon reaching home, Eun Ki locked herself in her room. Ji Yong decided to leave her alone at first, but after an hour of waiting, there is still no sign of Eun Ki. Ji Yong tried to listen through the door but he heard nothing.
Ji Yong: Eun Ki, what are you doing inside? Come let’s have dinner. (No respond) Eun Ki. (Knocking continuously) If you are not opening, I’ll force myself in.
He breaks open the door and manages to enter the room. He saw Eun Ki trying to gulp down a bottle of pills quickly.
Ji Yong: Ya! What the heck are you doing? (Taking the pills from Eun Ki and forcing the pills out from her mouth)
Eun Ki: Go away! Let me die with Seung Ri. He’s waiting for me.
Ji Yong: No you can’t die. Because, I…love you… (Looking in her eyes) You caught my eyes the first time we met. You are special to me. I hope that I’ll be able to replace Seung Ri.
Eun Ki froze as Ji Yong slowly kisses her forehead, nose and lastly he planted a kiss on her lips. She responded to his touches. When Ji Yong start taking off her nightgown, Eun Ki pushes him away.
Ji Yong: I’m sorry. I know Seung Ri just passed away. But my feeling for you is true. I want you to think about it first. I’ll wait for you. And please don’t do anything foolish. I have lost Seung Ri, and I can’t afford to lose you too. (Went out immediately)

Eun Ki’s POV:
I’m sorry Ji Yong. I actually like you but I still can’t forget Seung Ri.

That night, Ji Yong went to get himself drunk. Eun Ki was worried about Ji Yong. It was past midnight but Ji Yong is not home. She dials Ji Yong’s number but to no avail. She tried calling his house number too. Soon, she falls asleep after failing to reach him.
At about 3am, Ji Yong went to Eun Ki’s house, knocking on the door loudly. Eun Ki woke up by the loud noise. She went to open the door and saw Ji Yong stumbling to get in.
Eun Ki: What happened to you? Why are you so drunk? (Helping him to the bed)
Ji Yong: Mmm..I...we..nt...(mumbling to himself)
Eun Ki: Just sleep here tonight.
When Eun Ki was about to leave, Ji Yong stretch out his arm and grab Eun Ki’s hand tightly.
Ji Yong: Don’t leave me…
Eun Ki had no choice but to sleep with him as he did not let go of her hand. She looks at him sleeping and was mesmerized by his innocent look. She ran her finger on the bridge of his nose, and touches his lips sensuously. That night Eun Ki discovers something new about herself and Ji Yong.

It has been a month since Seung Ri’s gone. And all the time Ji Yong has been the one giving Eun Ki support. Eun Ki begins to sense the true feelings of Ji Yong’s love. On the other hand, Ji Yong had never had a day of peace and felt guilty all the time. But seeing Eun Ki looking better each day he felt the change in him. Their days became better every single day.

Eun Ki had been showering Ji Yong with all her love as she sees him as the replacement of Seung Ri. Time pass and the soon became deeply in love with each other and they cherished their days together.
Eun Ki: Oppa, I can’t imagine how I’ll survive without you. Promise that you won’t leave me.
Ji Yong’s POV:
Dear, you won’t want to be with me if you know the truth. I’m too full of myself, I’m selfish and I kill my own friend.
Eun Ki: Oppa.
Ji Yong: Ye?
Eun Ki: Nothing it’s ok.
Ji Yong: Dear, I love you. I can’t imagine how I’ll survive without you.
Eun Ki smiled giggly and planted a kiss on Ji Yong’s luscious lips... They were actually happy being involved in love full of lies......
