Ming Dao (POV): Chen Qiao En, I am going to announce to everyone that you are mine and you only belonged to me.
He went upstairs, changed and came down. After he came down, he saw Yan Yan and walked towards her. She gave him a peck and Qiao En saw that and wanted to leave.
Ming Dao: Hey! Qiao En, where are you going? Let me introduce, this is Yan Yan.
Qiao En *angry* (POV): Fine!
Qiao En: Oh hi! I'm Qiao En.
Both ladies exchanged handshake.
Ming Dao: You leaving?
Qiao En: That is none of your business Mr. Lin Ming Dao!
Ming Dao *whisper*: Jealous?
Qiao En: NO!
Ming Dao: Then stay lah! But I doubt you have the guts!
Qiao En: Daring me huh! I shall stay! Even if you sweep me out I also won't leave.
Ming Dao: Oh? Good to hear that!
After that he walked back to the center.
Ming Dao: Ladies and gentleman, thanks for coming to the housewarming cum birthday party. Hope all you enjoyed the food. Please pardon me if I have been a bad host. Well, today is also a very special day for me. I would like to take this opportunity to say something. I guess people who are closer to me will know that I used to flirt a lot, never interested in getting into a serious relationship until I met someone.
Qiao En (POV): Oh ya! That Yan Yan right? I am just nothing!
Ming Dao: This someone lets me fall for her unknowingly. She makes me felt jealous whenever I see her with another guy. It was also his appearance that confirmed my true feeling. Seeing them behaving so closely, I thought I do not have anymore chances and wanted to give up. I really felt the pain in my heart when I tried to give up. I really tried my best but due to an occasion, I realized she is someone whom my parents arranged me to meet, who is my fiancée! When she got to know that, she avoided me. That was really a tough time to handle that. I didn't force her but just allow things to die low and also asked myself what is my feeling for her? Today my anser is my feelings for her had never changed and it is getting deeper each day.
Qiao En (POV): Is he referring to me?
Ming Dao: Recently that guy appeared, telling me he was being rejected by her. She told him she has a fiancé and he has already taken up the space in her heart. No one else can replace him deep inside her. I was rather surprised to hear that because I thought they were together already and I never knew I had a place in her heart. To me, she's also someone who is irreplaceable. Someone that I don't want to lose and want to keep by my side for life.. Unknowingly I might have done things that hurt her or made her feel jealous or angry, I am here apologising for that. There was once, she asked what do I need in this new house. I told her nothing but in fact I am lacking of a mistress for this house.
Unknowingly, Qiao En dropped tears when she heard that.
Ming Dao: Don't avoid me anymore. I need you, this house needs a mistress. I don't wish to be back here facing this house all alone by myself..
Others on the floor were wondering who the lady is. Ming Dao walked out of the crowd, holding his house key and a ring.
Ming Dao *walking towards her*: Chen Qiao En I love you! Will you marry me and be the mistress of this house?
Everyone in the house was too shocked to hear that.
Wei Ru: She is Qiao En?
He stood right in front of her, turned her body to face him and was shocked to see her in tears. He used his thumb to wipe off her tears.
Ming Dao: Why are you crying?
Qiao En remained quiet and suddenly he knelt down in front of everybody.
Ming Dao: Are you willing to be the mistress of this house? Are you willing to be my wife, allowing me to take care of you for the rest of your life?
All: Wah! Never expect Ming Dao to be so serious.
Shao Wei: they are back to square one.
Xiao Qiao: Yah! Never knew that both of them are actually fiance and fiancee.
Wei Ru who stood near Qiao En turned and asked..
Wei Ru: Qiao En, the fiancé you mentioned who is irreplaceable is Ming Dao?
Ming Dao: You are irreplaceable in my heart too! No one else can stay in my heart except you, Chen Qiao En.
All: Say yes!
Qiao En *back from the shock and blushing hard* (POV): My goodness!
Qiao En *back to sense from the surprise proposal*: Can you stand up first? I don't like to talk like that.
Ming Dao: I will kneel until you nod your head.
Qiao En: Stand up lah! It is very embarrassing!
Ming Dao: Don't want!
Qiao En: If you insist, I am going to leave.
Ming Dao: If I stand up does it mean you will marry me?
Qiao En just remained silent and intending to walk away if he doesn't get up.
Shao Wei: Ming Dao, you better stand up before she really leaves.
Ming Dao stood up, grabbed her hand and pulled towards him.
Qiao En *shocked*: Whey!
Ming Dao: I have stood up so you shall keep to your promise to marry me.
Qiao En *with big eyes*: NO lor! I never say so!
Ming Dao: Just now you kept quiet what, so silence means consent!
ALL: Yes! We can be witnesses!
Ming Dao grabbed her left hand and she tried to shrug off but failed.
Ming Dao: *slipping the ring onto her finger*: From this moment, you agreed to be my wife. You cannot escape any longer. I hereby declare you are mine, my one and only.
Qiao En *staring at the ring and Ming Dao*: Lin Ming Dao..
Ming Dao: Yes my dear?
Qiao En: Happy Birthday *sweet smile*
All: Looks like we are going to receive “red bombs” soon.
Ming Dao *hugged her tightly*: You are the best birthday gift I ever had.
Wei Ru: Qiao En, shouldn't you give him a kiss?
All: Kiss kiss kiss kiss!!
Qiao En felt so embarrassed that they made her kiss him in front of so many people. Ming Dao grabbed her waist and pulled her closer.
Ming Dao: Actually I don't like girls to take initiative, so..
Before he finished saying, his lips landed on hers and gave her a passionate kiss that lasted for about 1 minute. Qiao En broke off the kiss blushing hard. After this whole thing, it is getting late, so people start to leave. When Shao Wei is about to leave, he went up to Ming Dao and Qiao En.
Shao Wei: Congrats wor!
Ming Dao: Thanks man!
Shao Wei: So how did both of you got together?
Ming Dao *smiling at Qiao En*: Actually it is all arranged by our parents, they did not know we are colleagues and know each other so they set us up together. We only knew that when we met up on Valentines' Day.
Shao Wei: Wah! Both of you really fated to be together sia!
Xiao Qiao: Better cherish her!
Ming Dao *holding her waist tightly*: I won't allow her to leave my side this lifetime.
Shao Wei: So see you guys in the hospital. *turns to Xiao Qiao* let's go bah!
Xiao Qiao: okay! Bye .
Ming Dao & Qiao En: Bye..
