Chapter 1

in a daze

Qiao En an undergraduate came from a rather well-to-do family. Parents love her a lot and she is their precious daughter. Being an only child, she often helps her parents out be in at her father's office or at her mom's florist lab. Her father owns a medium-sized company; her mother doesn’t like to do with business dealings so she opened a florist lab near their house. Qiao En will go and help whenever she can.

This day, after lesson she came to the lab in a pale blue dress holding the lecture notes in her hands.

Mrs. Chen: Why are you doing here again? Shouldn’t you go home?

Qiao En: Ma.. I am here to help you. Aren’t you happy?

Mrs. Chen: I have Wei Ru and Xing Shu as my assistants, they have been doing a great job too so don't need your help lah! Why not you go back and rest?

Qiao En *pretending to sob*: O.. now you have them and find me a hindrance already right?

Mrs. Chen: No lah.. Since you are so free, why not go out with some friends? You are already 25, should go and find a boyfriend.

Qiao En: Ma..

Mrs. Chen: Girl, it is not that you don't have suitors, just that you don't allow them to get near you.

Qiao En: Ma!! *diverting the topic* I heard there's a sale going on at the shopping mall? Why don't you go shopping, I tend the shop for you?

Mrs. Chen *smiling happily*: Really? I think I shall call my shopping kakis!

Qiao En (POV): Phew.. thank goodness there's really a sale going on or else she will keep on nagging until I leave the shop..

Not too long later, Mrs Chen went out shopping with her kakis, leaving Qiao En, Wei Ru and Xing Shu at the shop.

Wei Ru: Eh Qiao En, why don't you listen to your mother? Widen your social circle?

Qiao En: Aiyoh! Lai Wei Ru! Don't sound like my mother can?

Wei Ru *laughs*: I knew you will say that!!

As they were joking, Qiao En looked out of the glass window and found a handsome young guy. He has rather tall, tanned, and seems muscular, with quite big eyes. He looks like a prince charming. Soon, he enters the shop.

Guy: Hi, is Mrs Chen around?

Qiao En: She is not around as she has somethings to attend to. What can I help you?

Guy: Are you a new staff here? Anyway I want to order 60 dozen of white roses.

Qiao En: So in total there will be 720 stalks of white roses and will cost about $4300.

Guy *stood at the counter, writing a cheque*: Here is the amount and additional $200 take it as transport fee.

Qiao En: Er..

Guy *gave her a slip of paper*: Deliver it to this place in 3 days time.

After saying so, the guy left.

Wei Ru: Woah! 60 dozen of white roses.. Damn rich sia! Hey Qiao En, seems like he’s living at the very high-class area.

Qiao En did not answer Wei Ru, because she is in a daze after the guy left.

Qiao En (POV): Gosh.. How I wish I could know him.. He has a special charisma.

Wei Ru *waving in front of her*: Hey! Qiao En!!

Qiao En *back from her daze*: I will do the delivery.

Wei Ru *happy*: Oh really?? You volunteer one huh! Don't tell your mother we ask you to do so huh!!

Qiao En: yah lah!!
