Ming Dao: Good morning, Ladies and Gentleman. Let me do a brief introduction. I am Ming Dao, graduated from Andrew’s University in America *eyes were glancing at Qiao En* and worked for about 2.5 years at the Senwell in America.
Qiao En (POV): Must he stress on that?
Ming Dao: Today’s meeting the main focus will be on the project - paradise city. We will be working hand in hand with one of the America’s top construction company on that. The director has already given approval on this proposal and we will be going ahead. I need two people to assist me in this project and the director recommended Mr. Wang – Creative Director and Ms. Chen – Assistant Creative Director. So without further a do, I shall welcome both of them into my project team.
All the other heads were applauding for Shao Wei and Qiao En. Shao Wei seems happy about it except Qiao En.
Qiao En (POV): Working with him? Gosh! Can I just resign!
Ming Dao *smiled and turned to both of them *: I am looking forward to work with both of you.
Qiao En (POV): Who wants to work with you?
Shao Wei noticed Qiao En’s expression changed.
Shao Wei *whisper *: Qiao En, are you alright?
Qiao En nodded her head.
After his announcement, he sat down and listened to the other managers reporting to him about the updates of their individual departments. About 45 minutes later, the meeting ended. When everyone is leaving..
Ming Dao: CD and ACD, could you please be at my office in about 15 minutes?
Shao Wei: Sure.
Qiao En never replies him.
Shao Wei *hands on her shoulder, tilted his head towards her face *: Qiao En, are you sure you are alright?
Qiao En *gave a weak smile*: yes
They never realized that Ming Dao has been staring at both of them when they were making their way out.
Ming Dao (POV): Qiao En, I know what you are thinking. You must be thinking it’s going to be torturing facing and working with me. You would rather resign than to work with me. Don’t prove to me that my guess is right.
In Qiao En’s office..
Qiao En *putting down her files *: Shao Wei, is it a must to work with GM on this project? I am still a newbie.
Shao Wei: Well, since is recommended by the director I guessed you have no choice.
Qiao En: But… (POV) I don’t wish to work with him! That sickening fellow!
Shao Wei: But what?
Qiao En: Er.. nothing..
Shao Wei: If you really feel uncomfortable maybe you can try talking to GM about this.
Qiao En: HAR?
Qiao En (POV): Talk to him? Shao Wei, kill me bah!
Shao Wei: Well, shall we go to his office now?
Qiao En *took a sip of water and nodded her head*: Let’s go bah.
When they were outside his office, Qiao En took a very deep breathe before entering.
Shao Wei & Qiao En: GM.
Ming Dao: Oh! Both of you are here so soon. Same timing!
Shao Wei: Oh.. I was in her office so we came together.
Ming Dao (POV): In her office?
Ming Dao: Since we are the only ones here, just address each other by name.
Shao Wei: We are in office..
Ming Dao: Never mind lah.. Shao Wei I am not used to you calling me GM!
Shao Wei *laughs*: I knew that!
Ming Dao *saw Qiao En’s expression, wanted to laugh but controlled * (POV): I knew you would give this expression!
Ming Dao: Well, let’s go over to the meeting table and discuss over this.
Ming Dao walked first, followed by Shao Wei and Qiao En. After all were seated down.
Ming Dao: Well, on your hand is the proposal for this project. Shao Wei you have heard about this when I was in America.
Shao Wei: yah.
Ming Dao: During the process of this project, we will be traveling quite often to America.
Shao Wei: Oh? Expenses will be rather high isn’t it?
Ming Dao: Well we have no choice. I have a house in America. We can just stay there.
Qiao En (POV): he…
Ming Dao: Qiao En, are you alright? You seem to be in daze?
Qiao En *shook her head *: I am fine. GM, I don’t think I can handle this project well.
Ming Dao: Why?
Qiao En: Well, I am still a newbie, should this chance be given to someone who is more seniority?
Ming Dao (POV): So.. My guess is right!
Ming Dao: Well, since you are a newbie you should take this great opportunity to learn more. Besides I won’t change my decision so easily.
Qiao En (POV): ARGH!
Ming Dao (POV): I knew it!!
Qiao En: Well since that’s the case.. I will definitely take this chance to learn more!!!
Ming Dao: Oh! Good to hear that!
Shao Wei *tapped on her shoulder *: I am sure you can do it.
Ming Dao: So heard from Shao Wei you graduated from the same university and same batch as me?
Qiao En (POV): IDIOT!
Qiao En *sarcastic tone *: Ya
Ming Dao: Oh really? I guess we didn’t get to meet in the university right?
Ming Dao (POV): I guess I know what she is going to answer!
Qiao En *gave a brilliant smile*: Oh! I think so too! The university is too big! Even if we are in the same faculty I also won’t know who you are.
Qiao En (POV): LIN MING DAO! Don’t test my patience!
Ming Dao (POV): Her answer is kind of expected * grins *
Shao Wei (POV): Why do I sense a tension over here? What’s wrong with both of them? Don’t seem to be like themselves.
Shao Wei: Ahem! Ming Dao..
Ming Dao: huh?
Shao Wei: So according to your plan when will you be flying again?
Ming Dao: After the D&D.
Shao Wei: That’s kind of fast?
Ming Dao: Yeah! No choice!
Shao Wei: So found a partner?
Qiao En *sarcastic tone *: Our GM is so handsome he won’t have any problem getting a partner.
Ming Dao: Oh? Thanks for your compliments.
Shao Wei: Whey! I find both of you very weird hor!
Qiao En *smiles to Shao Wei *: No.. Don’t think too much lah! Since that’s the end of the discussion, I think we shall take our leave.. *turned to Shao Wei * right Shao Wei?
Shao Wei: yep!
Both of them stood up and walked towards the door.
Ming Dao: Shao Wei..
Shao Wei: Yah?
Ming Dao: Ma wants you home for dinner.
Shao Wei: Tell her I will be back.
Qiao En (POV): Ma? Ming Dao’s mother or Shao Wei’s mother?
