All: Qiao En, why aren’t you answering the call?
Qiao En (smiling as if nothing happened): nothing.. Better finish the food, they are closing soon!
Through out the whole supper, Qiao En wasn’t really paying attention to what’s going on around her especially the girl’s conversation. The moment she saw the missed call number, she sighed. Ming Dao has finally called her but she doesn’t want to answer the call or maybe should say she doesn’t dare to answer the call…..
Ming Dao has never given her hope, that’s being kind to her and at the same time being a little mean. Qiao En was thinking that all he gave her was the grayish boundary between friends and lover or perhaps that was her one-sided thinking only.
Xiao Qiao did mention to her before, in order to find a boyfriend or husband is always better to find someone that loves her than to look for someone that beyond the reach. By then who’s going to suffer? Of course is herself… What Xiao Qiao mentioned is right but not many people can achieve that…
Ming Dao ever asked her…
Ming Dao :don’t you think I am being selfish? Don’t you feel tired or upset with me ? Qiao En, you know I have high expectations towards being my girlfriend, you think you can take it?
Qiao En wanted to answer his questions but he has never gave her a chance to do so. Qiao En thought to her, not even a chance…perhaps Ming Dao really finds that she’s not suitable for him.
Xiao Qiao told her to tell Ming Dao that she’s a nice lady but all Qiao En can do was to gave her a sarcastic laugh. In this world there are many girls out there, so she has decided to stop feeling upset over it. She knows whenever a woman really falls in love with someone she will lose control of herself so she decided to put a stop to everything.. But when facing Ming Dao, she can never remained as calm as before. She’s already in her final year in University, there are many other things waiting for her to accomplish.
When Ming Dao sent her a message asking why she didn’t answer the call. After half an hour, she replied saying : “sorry, I was having shower”. That was the lame but best excuse she could give. Ming Dao replied saying that he shall call her for a chat but she rejected him by saying she will be busy tomorrow so got to rest early. After that message, Ming Dao never reply her anymore…
After replying Ming Dao, Qiao En couldn’t get to sleep.. She took out her handphone and typed: “If there’s no chance at all, isn’t it time to step out of the grey boundary? Ming Dao, perhaps right from the start is impossible for us to be together, using “good friends” as an excuse; you and I will be tired. What I want to say is just treat it as nothing happened; we have never known each other before…Forget everything…
After sending out the message, she deleted all Ming Dao’s contacts and decided to forget everything and start her life afresh…
Though she has deleted all his contacts and was determined to cut all ties with him, she still hold some hopes.. Thinking that he wouldn’t be that mean, maybe he has some feeling for her and maybe… after thinking all these, she broke into laughter.. a sad one… three weeks have past and he never contacted her…
Qiao En (POV): Is time for you to really give up!
