???: Qiao En…
the moment Qiao En heard this voice, the next thing on her mind was to run away..
???: Oh please…why are you always running when you see me?
Because they are in the pantry so Qiao En had no choice but to turn and face this person..
Qiao En: Xu Meng Zhe..what do you want again?
Meng Zhe: Have lunch together?
Qiao En: I had mine already…
Meng Zhe: Tea?
Qiao En: I don’t like..
Meng Zhe: Shopping?
Qiao En: Not interested..
Meng Zhe: Work?
Qiao En left without answering him..
Meng Zhe: Whey, where are you going?
Qiao En: didn’t you say you want to discuss work? I have something to tell you also..
Meng Zhe: About?
Qiao En: I will be leaving for Shanghai soon..
Meng Zhe: For?
Qiao En: a project..
Meng Zhe: Are you sure or are you avoiding me?

Qiao En (giving him a serious look): I am going over because I have to. That’s my job.. being an AGM I have to ensure I have done my part…
Meng Zhe: Why not I go with you?
Without replying, Qiao En left the pantry and the moment she stepped out she saw Ming Dao… He was standing there all along and overheard their conversations.. Both of them didn’t say anything but gave each other a smile and went back to their office respectively.. They rest at their armrest chair…
* flashback*
Xiao Qiao: Qiao En…there’s a basketball match today aren’t you going to watch? The captain is Ming Dao leh…
Qiao En: Nope.. I am going off…
??? (a male voice was heard from her back): Chen Qiao En…
Qiao En (turned and faced him): Lin Ming Dao ,what do you want?
By looking at her, Ming Dao knows that she wanted to leave asap, well this is not the first time he sensed that based on experience.
Ming Dao: Help me hold on to them… the match is starting soon..
Qiao En (didn’t look at him and don’t intend to help him): Xiao Qiao, help him hold…
Xiao Qiao looked at Qiao En and looked at Ming Dao, she was rather confused by them so in the end she never help Ming Dao.
Ming Dao (smiled): please… I got to get going… Thanks (just put his clothes onto her arms and left)
After Ming Dao left,
Qiao En (turned and walked towards the basketball court): Let’s go bah..
Xiao Qiao: hey.. shouldn’t you give him some support?
Qiao En: Nah.. not interested… I just watch the match.. you can cheer if you want to.. Xiao Qiao… could you please lean over for a while?
Xiao Qiao leaned towards Qiao En and Qiao En’s head landed on her shoulders..
Qiao En: borrow your shoulder.. I want to sleep… wake me up about 10 minutes before the match ended..
Xiao Qiao had no choice but to let her lean on her shoulder and sleep. All of the sudden, the ball flew by and landed just before Qiao En. Qiao En sensed something on her feet so she opened her eyes and saw Ming Dao running towards. She passed the clothes to Xiao Qiao and then bent and picked up the ball for him.
Two pairs of hands landed on the ball, her intention was just to pass the ball and continue with her sleep but Ming Dao tapped her hand gently..
Ming Dao : Don’t sleep… watch me on the match..
After saying that, he ran back to the court. Qiao En looked at him, the ball and her hands and can be 100% sure that he did it on purpose! After the match ended Ming Dao took his clothes and watch back from her.. As for Xiao Qiao, she had something to attend to so she left in the middle of the match, leaving Qiao En alone.
Ming Dao: Let’s go for dinner.. hmm… take it as a “thank you” dinner.. to thank you for watching the match..
Qiao En stunned…
Ming Dao (smiled): What’s wrong?
Qiao En: Nothing.. go have your shower first…
Ming Dao listened to her and went for his shower, before he went in.. he entrusted his clothes and watch to her again. After showering, they made their move.
Ming Dao: So what do you want to have?
Qiao En: anything.
Ming Dao (looking at her and smiled): There’s no such dish as anything.. if that’s the case I order for you wor..
She just don’t know why but agreed to him when he asked her out for dinner. During dinner, she had been keeping quiet.. that’s because she doesn’t know what to talk about so in the end Ming Dao is the one who started conversation.
Ming Dao: heard that you ... (taking dish into her bowl) you know Jacky?
Qiao En (taken aback by that): You..
Ming Dao: Just wish to know him.. that’s all…
Qiao En (POV): So.. this is his ultimate motive…
*end of flashback*
After thinking through the past, both of them sighed…
Qiao En (POV): why is it him? Didn’t even think my GM would be him…Phew.. Chen Qiao En!! Keep up your good job! Aren’t things going on fine just now? That’s all in the past.. he’s none other than just your superior…
Around late afternoon, Qiao En was in the pantry making coffee.. Ming Dao was just standing outside looking at her.. Just when she’s about to leave..
Ming Dao: Qiao En…
Qiao En stopped her movement. Ming Dao looking at her backview pondering when will she turned and looked at him.. who knows he was taken aback by her action.. that was she ran out of the pantry ..ran past him…
Ming Dao didn’t say anything and saw her entering her own office. No one knows that Wei Ru had seen all these…
Later in the night, when all of them were watching TV in the living room, Wei Ru brought up what she saw in the office…
Wei Ru: Qiao En..
Qiao En: Yah?
Wei Ru: why did you run away when Ming Dao call you in the pantry?
Qiao En (stunned)
Xiao Jie(shocked): You ran away??? (gave a weird expression and burst out laughing)
Xiao Qiao: So what are you going to do next?
What Xiao Qiao asked is also the question she has been pondering ever since after that incident. She thought Ming Dao would never appear in her life again, she was very determined to cut off all contacts with him when she made the decided few years back. It’s impossible to treat it as nothing happened now…what should she do? Resign because of this don’t seem worth it..
Wei Ru: I don’t think things are that serious right? (Smiling at them) well, it’s unavoidable to meet someone you know before..
Xiao Qiao: but the one she met is..
Qiao En (interrupted): Wei Ru is right. Maybe I just couldn’t accept the fact to meet him again after a few years.. I don’t think anything will happen to us. Don’t forget, him and I weren’t very close in the past so this won’t happen in the present as well… Ok that’s about it.. don’t worry if I have any problem will definitely approach my advisors.
At Ming Dao’s side…
He has never thought of meeting Qiao En again. Never did he know that she would have this reaction when she meet him. The Qiao En now is so mature, pretty with long hair with a bit of curls at the bottom. She’s no longer the Qiao En who used to carry a big bag, tie a pony tail and not so cold towards people.
Ming Dao (POV): She seems to be avoiding me…
