Chapter 13

Epilogue

It was so noisy at the Juns’ household, as the family and friends gathered around together at the living room, different voices could be heard all at once. The most distinctive voice would of course be Junsu’s, as he walked in and out of the kitchen, rambling about the food that he and Jaejoong had prepared and how he is going to kill anyone who has the nerve to complain about his cooking skills.

Yoochun rolled his eyes, as he hugged Junsu’s shoulders from the side, one hand caressing their six years old daughter’s hair, who were standing between them, sandwiched in the middle.
“No one is going to dare to complain about your cooking, Su-ya…right Ha Rang?” he declared matter-of-factly, his daughter nodding eagerly, as Junsu pouted and started to whine about how he was aware of his lack of skills in the kitchen and that he had put a lot of effort and spent as much time into making all the dishes served on the table.

Yoochun dumbly asked, “But I thought Jae-hyung was the one preparing most of the dishes?”

Wrong move, Yoochun…was what went on everybody’s minds as Junsu began sulking, and stomped back into the kitchen. Yoochun smiled awkwardly at everyone before following his wife with his daughter, and hit shoulders with Jaejoong who was taking a tray of newly-baked muffins to the table, both nearly went out of balance from the collision. Yunho was faster as he quickly went to Jaejoong’s side, holding his waist to keep the guy from falling.

The little scene made everyone ooohh and aahhhh.

Changmin merely smirked, as he added jokingly, “Yun-hyung…stop showing off your Superman love to Jae-hyung…gosh, enough of the PDAs…there are little kids here, you know..” as he pointed his mouth towards two little boys who were running around the table and the little baby girl who was sleeping soundly in the baby cot nearby.

“Well, you’re just jealous.” Yunho shot back as Jaejoong muttered a soft ‘thank you’ to Yunho, before pulling himself off Yunho’s arms and putting the tray on the table, cheeks blushing hotly from Changmin’s remark.
Yunho saw one of the little boys coming near the sleeping baby girl, and tried to reach his hand inside the cot. He quickly rushed towards the kids.

“Shin Gi, don’t bother your little sister okay? She’s sleeping…” Yunho said softly to the boy as the boy blinked his big eyes at Yunho, grinning naughtily. A little hand tried to sneak in again, and Yunho gave him a disapproving look, but the boy merely imitated Yunho’s sharp gaze, brows bunching together. Yunho rounded his eyes pretending to be really angry, and the boy began to giggle heartily before trying to run away from Yunho, who was also starting to chuckle at the boy’s mischievousness. Yunho swooped the little boy up into his arms, and the boy circled his small hands around Yunho’s neck, hugging him.

“Uncle Yunnie! Shin Gi loves you!” the boy said loudly for everyone to hear, wriggling his feet as Yunho struggled to hold him and not let him fall.

"Shin Gi, don’t move like that…you’ll fall! I can't hold you like this!”

“Uncle Yunnie won’t let me fall!”

“How come you’re so sure?”

“Because Uncle Yunnie is strong like my appa!”
Heechul, who was watching this from far for a while now, walked towards Yunho and the boy, and the boy quickly held out his hands to Heechul, abandoning Yunho.

“Ehh? You said you love me?” Yunho asked teasingly. The boy named Shin Gi was in Heechul’s embrace now, and hugging Heechul tight.

“I love Uncle Yunnie, but I love my papa more…” the boy declared smilingly, and kissed Heechul’s cheek. Yunho laughed, as one hand ruffled the boy’s hair. Heechul grinned apologetically at Yunho.

“I’m sorry, Yunho…he’s so naughty these days…even the two of us couldn’t keep up with him. Right, Siwonnie?” Heechul said as he looked at Siwon, who had just got out from the toilet, looking all confused.

Yunho took a deep breath, as he looked at the couple in front of him, smiling. Who would have thought that Heechul would end up with Siwon…

Yunho scratched his head, although it was not itchy.
Certainly not me.

As Yunho was becoming engrossed in his thought, he did not realize that Jaejoong has been standing beside him, looking into the baby cot and taking the little girl out.

“Look at your appa, Jung Yun Ji. He’s spacing out again.” Jaejoong said softly, bringing Yunho back to reality. Yunho looked to his side, and saw Jaejoong cooing the baby girl, who was all awake and staring at Jaejoong with his big, curious eyes.

Big, curious eyes that resembled her Umma’s beautiful ones…Yunho thought warmly, smiling wide.

A boy of the age of three came running towards them, and crashed his head directly to Yunho’s groin, making the man yelped. The boy laughed at Yunho’s reaction before hugging Yunho’s feet, looking up to Yunho with his adorable, innocent face.

“Jung Ji Young, how many times have I told not to run like that? It’s dangerous…” Jaejoong reprimanded the boy with a stern warning but in a gentle voice that showed his motherly side.

Yunho looked at Jaejoong with pride that comes only for those who felt cherished and contented. There he was, standing amidst the noise and the chaos, and he felt as if his life was complete, all the pieces of puzzles finally coming together to form a perfect picture. Jaejoong, Ji Young, Yun Ji and him.

He felt thoroughly blessed.

And entirely loved.

All thanks to a certain Kim Jaejoong.

My Lovely Kim Jaejoong.
