Tavia: Ouch! What place is this? Where am I? What was my task again? My head really hurts.. (She hit against her forehead lightly using her knuckles to make her feel better) I remember now! Uncle Sam pushed me down, ouch, was wondering if he could push me gently next time. aww…I have to find….that boy, no…. young man who had swallowed the crystal ball 20 years ago. Yes, that’s the task..
Tavia looked around the street trying to adjust herself where she was, the street was filled with people. People buying and selling, she went through the different stalls, hearing people gossiping with one another, and beside her were some stalls selling women’s makeup, accessorise, also gambling stores, and different food stores were also seen too.
Tavia: awww….food!!! I’m absolutely starving, what type of food are they, I wonder. What’s that smell?
Tavia followed the strong sense of aroma, at last she approached in front of the stall selling..
Tavia: (Asking the stall owner) Hi, I’m new in this place. Um…I wonder what type of food are they, pointing towards the wooden bucket filled with beige square lumps.
Stall Owner: Its called “Chou Tofu” replied the stall owner.
Tavia: What? But this shouldn’t be called Chou Tofu, it smells so nice, it doesn’t stink at all.
Stall Owner: My “Chou Tofu” stinks through the whole street, and you don’t call it smelly? Are you gonna buy any Chou Tofu from me or are you just gonna mess around, the man split back every word furiously at Tavia.
Tavia apologised and left, as she knows that she needs to pay for them. & at the moment, she doesn’t have a single cent with her.
As Tavia walked through the busy street, she met another stall selling fish. Tavia was yet again confused and began to ask the stall owner.
Tavia: I don’t get it, why is the fish in the bucket swimming lively more expensive than the fish, which is dead? Shouldn’t it be the other way round? As the fish, which is already dead, has already been done, chopped dead and just needed to be heated up. On the other hand, the fish which is still alive, the buyers will need to kill the fish themselves, wouldn’t it be a hassle?
Man: Are you messing around young lady? Of course the fish which is swimming lively in the bucket more expensiver than the fish which is dead, as it is ALIVE and FRESH!
Tavia: So that means the fish which is dead, isn’t fresh at all? What business is this? Selling…
Man: Excuse me, I am not going to serve you, please do leave and do not mess around in MY store. You are not welcomed! (& poured a bucket of cold water in front of Tavia.)
Tavia: aww…luckily I walked away faster, otherwise I’d be soaking wet. Why are these people in the human world so sensitive. Aww…Don’t really get this world.
Tavia’s stomach started to grumble, aww…help, I’m starving, where is that young man? AWW!!! Should of eaten before I came down to what you will call this a “perfect” human world. Ok, calm down Tavia, don’t think of anything else, all I need to do is concentrate in completing my mission. The main thing that I got to complete is finding the young man named…Ouch!
Tavia turned around, only to find all the people rushing and one lady accidentally bumped into her, without even apologising.
Tavia: What rude people! What do you call this? Help! Get me out of here, pleaaassseee.
However, in front of Tavia was a wooden board surrounded by many people, only to find some people cheering and congratulating one another, and surprisingly some people crying, comforting their sons.
Tavia: I wonder what is going on now, hm…
Tavia tried to squeeze through the people to the front. However, everyone began pushing one another. Leading Tavia to wait for the people to leave, in order to see the board properly.
Tavia: (Whispering to herself) I wonder what is going on, why is everyone so excitied about seeing this board? There isn’t money to collect. Why are there a list of names? Maybe I can find the young man’s name in here, that’s right. Lets see…beginning with B…. hm? It isn’t on the list, chey~~
A young man was next to her all the way through, he was looking through the list of names too.
Tavia: Hi young man! Sorry to bother you. However, I am sure you won't mind if I asked, or even, could you tell me what is this thing all about? I’m new here by the way, thanks.
However, the young man didn’t seem to be in a good mood. No replies were heard, not even a single word was said. Just a miserable look was shown onto his face.
Tavia: Hello? (Waving her hand in front of his face) HELLO!!!
Young man: Yes? I’m not death!
Tavia: I asked you a question just now. I was asking if..
Before Tavia even finished saying her phrase, the young man interrupted in.
Young man: Sorry, not in a good mood today! Please do not ask me anything and left disappointedly.
Tavia: What’s wrong with him, fine then! I’ll ask another person! Everyone just seems really RUDE in here, just no MANNERS at all. Humph!
The young man heard every word and turned back towards Tavia.
Young man: Now, who did you just say was rude, and has no manners at all?
Tavia: I was saying YOU, someone asking you something and you haven’t replied and left. Isn’t that rude and no manners? ey?
Young man: Well, what do u want to know then?
Tavia: Don’t want to ask YOU now, bleh!
Young man: What kind of girl is she? I’d say you have no manners more than I do! Why did I even start chatting to her. Gosh! & started to walk in the opposite direction to Tavia.
