...
“Where…where is she?” Ray stopped running and asked breathlessly once he saw Ron and Tavia.
“She boarded the plane,” Ron answered.
“What???” Ray put his hands over his face and whispered. “I’m too late.”
“If you didn’t want her to leave, why didn’t you say so?” Tavia questioned.
“I…I didn’t want to stop her from going back to her family. I don’t want her to leave what she has to be with me. That’s selfishness.”
“No Ray. What selfishness is that you didn’t give Qian a chance to make her decision. By ignoring her and pushing her away, you gave Qian one choice and one choice only and that is to go back to her parents. Did you know that she cares for you as much as you care for her?”
“I…I know. Tavia, I have to go see her.”
“What?!?! You want to go to US?”
“Yeah, I have to let her know that I love her.”

“That is not necessary.”
A voice behind Ray made him jumped. He turned around to find no one other than Qian standing there with luggage in hands. Ray’s eyes widened in disbelief; ‘how could this be?’ Ray asked himself. A smile spread across his face as he looks at Qian with loving eyes.
Qian saw Ray’s smile and inside she was also smiling. But she pretended to be sad and said.
“Yeah, my dad called right now. He said that his company is going to have a branch here in Hong Kong and I’m going to be in charge of it. Therefore, he needs me to stay here to take care of the paper works. Isn’t that suck? He was so relieved that he caught me at the right time. Or else I would have boarded that plane.”
“Well what matters is you’re here now,” Tavia said excitedly. “C’mon let’s go home.”
Qian nodded and they began walking toward the exit. But…
“Qian…” they were stopped by Ray’s voice.
“Huh?” Qian turned around to see Ray standing there solemnly.

-Flash forward-
Ron and Tavia went ahead and went home without Ray and Qian.
Now Ray and Qian are at the beach.
Trailing behind Ray on the sandy beach, Qian was more than happy to be here. But they have been walking for a pretty long time and yet Ray hasn’t said a thing.
“Hey!” Qian stopped walking and yelled.
Ray turned around to look at Qian. She looked at him, then to her side toward the beach, and back at him. Waiting for him to say something, but he didn’t.
“Aren’t you going to say something?” Qian asked feeling a bit annoyed.
Ray looked down at his feet, took a deep breath, and then lifted his head to look at Qian.
“I’ve said everything that I wanted to say back there. What else do you want me to say?”
“Well…I didn’t hear you clear enough.”
“Well, I guess that’s too bad then.” With that said he then turned around and began walking. He knew that this was killing Qian and he was right. Qian was so mad that you could see steam coming out from her ears.
‘That jerk!’ she thought. ‘I’ll show him!’
She scanned around her area and spotted a piece of seashell lying near by. Qian picked it up and hurled it at Ray’s direction. The piece of seashell made it way through the air and hit Ray right on the head.
“OW!! MY HEAD!!! You broke my head!!” Ray howled in pain as he covers his head with both hands.
“Hah! What a joke!! Stop pretending.” Qian scoffed.
“Wah…BLOOD?!?!” Ray screamed once he looked at one of his hands.
By now, Qian began to be afraid.
‘Ohmigosh, is he really…’ she thought.
“RAY! RAY! Are you okay?” Qian asked as she was running toward where Ray was sitting, still hugging his head.
Qian squatted down right in front of Ray and looked at his face. Using her hands to lift Ray’s head up, Qian asked again.
“Are you alright?”
Before she knew it, Ray let go of his head and pulled her into a tight embrace.
“I am now that you are here with me,” he whispered into her ears.
“*gasp* you tricked me!” Qian pretended to be mad and was trying to push Ray away from her.
Ray wasn’t about to let go and fought Qian’s struggles by tightened his grip
After Qian stopped struggling and settled in his arms, Ray loosened his grip and slowly pushed Qian away from his chest. Qian, who been looking at the ground all this time, looked up to see Ray is gazing at her lovingly. Qian could feel her cheeks burning of embarrassment. Taking his hands off her shoulders, Ray grabbed on to both of Qian’s hands and held them tightly in his.
“Qian, if you want me to say the things I said at the airport once again, I would love to say it. Because every single words that I said are true. I love you Qian. I don’t know when and how I started loving you. All I know is that I love you and that’s all that matters. The night before you were supposed to leave, I wanted to tell you so much, but somehow I wasn’t able to speak my mind. I’m sorry.”
Qian have never felt so loved in her life. She knows that every word Raymond said was coming from his heart, she felt it. But she wasn’t about to let him off so easily, Qian pretending to be mad and yanked her hands away from Ray’s.
“I don’t know if I can believe you. Just last night you acted like you didn’t even care if I was going to leave. And now you’re here telling me that you love me? What a joke!!!” Qian scoffed and walked away.
Ray caught Qian’s arm when she walked past him and said.
“You want to know if my words are true or not?”
With that said, he rushed Qian with a long and lustrous kiss on her lips. Qian felt weak at the knees and was about to collapse. But not to worry, Ray’s arms were wrapped around her so tight that if she was going to fall, he would go down with her. After about what felt like an hour of kissing, Ray finally let go. Ray opened his eyes to see Qian was staring at him. Ray was confused.
‘Did she like the kiss? Was I wrong?’ he thought.
As for Qian, she just looked at Ray with a solemn look on her face. No sign of happiness, no sign of anger, no sign of any sort of feelings whatsoever. Ray was concerned by this look of hers.
‘Say something,’ Ray could feel the sweat trickling down his neck.
Finally Qian spoke in a calm and cool voice.
“Are you done?”
Ray slowly nodded his head. ‘She’s scaring me,’ he thought.
“Now it’s my turn,” Qian then grabbed Ray by the collar and pulled him closer to her. Slowly, she pressed her lips onto his. They kissed a tender and passionate kiss until…
*RiiiiNG**RiiiiNG*
They were interrupted by Ray’s cell phone ringing.
Lifting his face from hers, Ray mouthed “sorry” to Qian and picked up his phone.
“What?! …Oh…Okay.”
He hung up and turned back to Qian and said.
“That was Ron; he said Tavia wanted to know if we’ll be home for dinner, so she could wait for us.”
“Oh,” Qian spoke followed by a moment of silent. “Now what?” she asked.
Ray took a moment to think and shrugged his shoulder.
“Who cares?”
He then pulled Qian into another deep kiss. They kissed until the sun goes down.

Never Let You Go Again
(Trisha Yearwood)

Dreamed of you in my solitude
I told myself way back when
That if my prayers
Could get be there
I'd never let you go again

Darlin', I had lost you once
Thought my world had come to an end
Now, in my hands
A second chance
I'll never let you go again

Now and forever more
You can come to me
Baby, run to me
And I'll take you into my arms
I'll never let you go again
(Repeat)

In my hands
A second chance
And I'll never let you go again
