Qian checked her watch and it said 10:30 am.
‘I should go get ready for the lunch date,’ she thought to herself.
Qian began picking her clothes.
‘What should I wear? Should I wear something cute or something sexy? Hmm…I remember he had said that he likes girls in pink. Should I wear pink? No, that seems a little desperate trying to please him. Ugh, why am I so nervous? Stop it Qian! Stop it!’
After settling with herself, Qian decided to wear a white off-the-shoulder blouse and with a turquoise floral peasant skirt that goes a little past her knees. For accessories, she picked a coral and turquoise colored beads necklace with matching bracelets and strappy sandals. She curled her, normally, long straight stands into spiral curls, and then tossed them to make them look less formal and more casual. All in all, her look was no doubt stunning.
Qian arrived at The Lounge at 11:45. They have agreed to meet at 12 on the dot. With a red rose in one hand, Qian was as nervous as ever. She wasn’t even this nervous when she had to give a presentation in front of 150 people in her speech class. She could feel her heart pounding at 180 miles and hour, her palms were sweating, and everything is just a blur. After she was greeted by the waitress, Qian began to look around for her date.
‘He said that he’s going to be wearing a black shirt with jeans,’ as she recalled.
Qian eyes scanned around the room and finally landed on a man with a black shirt sitting with his back to her while looking out the window.
‘That must be him,’ Qian drew a deep breath into her chest and began walking toward the man sitting there.
“Excuse me. May I ask…” Qian began but stopped once the man turned around to face her.
“You!” They both exclaimed at once causing everyone in the restaurant to turned and looked at them.
“What are you doing here?” Qian demanded.
“I…I…” Ray stuttered.
‘I can’t tell her that I’m here to meet someone I’ve met over the internet. Knowing her she won’t let me live it down.’ Ray thought to himself then answered. “Why I’m here doesn’t matter. What are YOU doing here?”
“I…uh…I…I’m meeting a friend here.”
“Oh, me…me too,” Ray said.
Then something sparked in their mind when they saw each other’s rose, a horrified look flashed on their face. They then stared at each other and both said at once.
“Are you Prince_of_Darkness/ LittlePrincess?”
They both let out a loud gasp, as they realized that the person that they been anticipated to see is…each other.
“Ohmigod, ohmigod,” Qian began to breathe heavily. “I…I…need to sit down.”
Taking a seat right across from Raymond, she couldn’t help but to look at him. However, whenever she glanced at him, she would feel a twitch of anger from the pit of her stomach. Therefore, every time she looked at him she had to take a swig of H2O; but somehow, she could still feel something burning inside of her.
As for Ray, his condition is not much better.
“Hey! Say something,” Qian could no longer stand the suspension and spoke.
“What do you want me to say?” Ray asked effortlessly.
“Well…why didn’t you tell me who you were?”
“You’ve never asked. Beside, I didn’t know who you were until today.”
Qian let out a scoff, “So…now what?”
“What?”
“Ugh,” she rolled her eyes. “What are we going to do now?”
“I don’t know. You tell me.”
“Well, since we’re here. Might as well get it over with.”
“Agree.”
Then something suddenly came into Qian’s mind.
“So, when you said that you met your sole enemy, that was me?”
“Err…I didn’t mean it THAT way. He…he…he.” Ray answered nervously.
“So what way did you mean it?”
“I…uh…I. Hey! What about you? You also said that you met your sole enemy and I’m pretty darn sure that it’s not Ron. So what do you have to say?”
Qian took another swig of H2O; she could no longer bear the anger.
“And…stop drinking from my glass!” Ray exclaimed.
Qian stopped drinking and looked at the half emptied glass. She now realized that she had been drinking from Ray’s glass all this time. She slowly placed the glass back onto the table, but her eyes kept staring at Ray. She couldn’t help but noticed the fact that Ray looked pretty damn hot today.
He had on a white dress shirt and he deliberately left some top buttons undone. His white blouse is tucked into his sand washed jeans, and he layered a black blazer on top of his white blouse. To make his look less formal, he decided to wear black Chucks. His hair was styled into a semi-Mohawk. He no longer looked like the annoying Raymond Lam that is living with her.
While Qian was checking him out. Raymond was also scoping at her. Her white blouse and her turquoise skirt along with her jewelries really made her stand out in the crowd. Her skin is white and smooth. Although, she didn’t have much make up on, but it was enough to enhance her natural beauty.
‘Since when did she become so pretty?' he thought as he was eyeing her.
