“Don’t be so pushy baby,” Chri laughed as she fell against the back wall of the elevator. Jessi laughed as she grabbed onto Ohno to keep herself upright. Sho just sighed as he pressed the button for the fifteenth floor. Yes, the girls weren’t the only drunk ones, but there was no reason for her to know that. The elevator lurched into motion and a silence fell over the small group, small giggles every now and then breaking the silence.
“What the hell?” Sho heard Jin slur, making him look over his shoulder. His eyes landed on Chri, her face pale and a sheen of sweat across her forehead. He moved toward her, pushing Jin out of the way and making him stumble against the wall. A protest from the boy was barely heard as Sho stopped in front of Chri.
“Are you okay?” Sho asked, his voice full of concern. Chri looked up at him, her head bobbing slightly as she tried to make eye contact with him. A shaky smile came to her face, trying to reassure him.
“I’m alright,” Chri said weakly.
Jessi watched from the other side of the elevator. Contrary to what the majority thought she was as drunk as she seemed… acting was fun some times and Sho could never tell the difference. If she acted drunk he wouldn’t get so upset at Chri and Chri was drunk as hell. Besides, the fun times Jessi and Ohno had planned for when they got back to his place wouldn’t be as fun if they were completely drunk. She felt Ohno’s arms draped across her shoulders and his head was resting against her red hair. She smiled. He was by far the kindest and most loving boyfriend she had ever had….and he was a monster in the sack.
She could see Jin staring at her from across the elevator a look in his eye that she just credited to him being drunk. A lurch sent them all rocking forward, the elevator stopping. Silence followed before her eyes fell on Sho’s. He broke eye contact as he went to the door panel and pushed repeatedly on the buttons, nothing happening. Then a voice boomed over a loud speaker, drawing all of their attention.
‘We have encountered difficulties. A fire team will be there within two hours. Please stay calm.’
Jessi sighed before she slid down to the floor, Ohno taking up a place beside her. It stayed silent for a moment, longer the panic of the situation contorting Jin’s handsome face. Then a strangled burp came from Chri followed closely by a foul smell and a gurgle of discomfort.
“I think I’m going to be sick,” Chri moaned as she slumped against the back of the elevator. That was all it took to send Jin into a complete tizzy.
“Is she going to puke! I can’t deal with that! It will make me sick! She can’t get sick, were stuck in the elevator! I won’t be able to…” Jin yelled, making Sho frown in irritation. As Jin started to bang on the doors of the elevator, Sho grabbed him by the collar bone, a squeak escaping him as he jumped in surprise and turned to face Sho, his back slamming up against the doors.
“Calm the fuck down,” Sho said, his voice dangerous and low. Jin didn’t say anything as he slid to the ground. Sho then went and sat down beside Chri, putting her head in his lap as he began to rub circles across her stomach in an attempt to stop the drunken sickness that was churning it. Chri’s eyes fluttered closed, her face pale.
Jessi was glad that Chri and Sho were together, they were a good couple and the fact that he treated her so well made it even better in her eyes. Chri deserved the best and even if Jessi had her doubts about them lasting it was still a relationship that would hold a lot of meaning and fond memories for the both of them. She felt her hoddie get tugged up onto her head and she looked over, her grey eyes landing on Ohno’s smirking face. His grey hood was drawn up over his black hair and he had that boyish look on his face as his eyes roamed hers.
He smelled intoxicating and so loved under his gaze. She could remember a time when she felt nervous when he looked at her like that, but now she loved it. He blinked and smiled at her, that kind smile that seemed to show her all the feelings he had for her. Jessi smiled back before she leaned in and kissed him softly. When their lips parted he pulled her against him, her head resting on his shoulder.
Yeah… it was the times like this, with Ohno, that made her realize that she had made the right decision in coming to Japan with Christine.
