I saw Hero preparing to give me a third punch but Hebe’s auntie held onto him.
“STOP STOP HERO! THIS WON”T HELP!” yelled Hebe’s auntie.
“GET LOST YOU BASTARD! DON’T COME TO SEE HEBE AGAIN OR I PROMISE YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO GO HOME IN ONE PIECE! You don’t deserve to see Hebe! Go away!” I heard Hero spat at me.
I can’t just go like that.
I want to stay with Hebe.
I want to see her wake up…or…NO! She will wake up.
End OF Aaron’s POV
Aaron crawled towards Hebe feeling and hearing Hero’s disagreement to his actions.
He ignored Hero’s yells and pushes but move towards Hebe with all his might.
He stood up and held onto Hebe’s hand and how pale she was scared him.
Her arm was covered with scratches and cuts and her once flawless face had a huge scratch on it.
Aaron slowly raised his left hand and brushed past the cut on her face.
His heart ached at the state Hebe was in,
She looked so weak and painful.
Did he really cause her in this state?
Aaron slowly released one of his tear and it dropped on Hebe’s face.
The warm tear slid down her face and landed on the pillow.
Hebe flinched.
Aaron stared at her wide eyed thinking he was imagining things.
Hebe slowly opened her eyes and her eyebrows strengthened at the light.
The first scene she saw was Aaron staring at her with his eyes red and puffy.
Hebe’s POV
I woke up…
Why did I have to wake up?
I could’ve just let go of everything I have but I felt, felt some warmth near me.
The warmth told me to wake up.
As I opened my eyes, the sight in front of my shocked me,
Aaron..
Why was Aaron in front of me?
He seemed very guilty and worried.
I don’t know what to do, I don’t know how to face him after knowing he’s with Gui Gui now.
Why do I feel so…uncomfortable looking at him…
End Of POV
Hebe’s auntie and Hero stared at Hebe unbelievably.
Hebe has woken up!
Hero POV
I can’t believe Aaron still wants to go touch Hebe!
I have to stop him!
ARGH! He is pissing me off!
Totally ignoring me!
Wait…did I just see Hebe’s eyes flutter?
I stopped moving around and stared at Hebe’s face.
Her eyes started to move and…and….she…HAS WOKEN UP!
I can’t believe it…she has woken up…just when Aaron was here…
Why did it have to be Aaron again?
Just, one tear drop, she woke up.
What’s inside Aaron that I don’t have?
Why is he able to do things that I wish I can do?
End Of POV
Everyone stood still staring at the awaken Hebe.
Hebe stared at Aaron’s eyes as Aaron returned to same reaction to her.
No one moved. No one made a sound.
Finally Hebe turned her head to the other side so she wasn’t facing Aaron.
Just from that one action, Aaron knew very well Hebe didn’t want him here.
Hebe broke the connection they had just then.
She rejected him.
Aaron felt it; he stood up straight and avoided direct eye contact with Hebe.
Hero ran over to the pale Hebe and hugged her.
“HEBE! You woke up! Don’t do stuff like that again!” yelled Hero,
Hebe returned to hug and smiled slightly at Hero’s hug.
Hebe’s auntie rushed to Hebe too and held onto her hand as tears trickled down her face.
Aaron stood at the side feeling left out.
He did not feel the feeling he usually received when the three of them were together.
Everything has changed.
The Aaron Yan now did not weigh the same as he did in university in their hearts.
However did the weight of Aaron increased or decreased in Hebe’s heart?
Who knows?
No one did, not even Hebe..
Aaron lowered his head as the guilty and regretful feeling covered his body.
He felt guilty that Hebe was in this state and regretful that he had made a choice to leave them.
How much time Gui Gui spend with him was totally different from the two people in front of him.
Especially the girl that caught his attention at the first look,
But he knew very well, there was no going back.
He made his choice.
He had to put up with the consequences.
Aaron turned around and left the room.
Hebe stared at his back view.
She was worried for him.
Hebe’s POV
What’s wrong with Aaron?
Why was he here?
I thought he won’t care if I went into hospital..
He didn’t care when I text him to meet me at uni.
Was it him that gave me the warmth to wake up?
End Of Hebe’s POV
Hebe looked down deep in thoughts and Hero knew she still cared for him.
*Aaron’s side
Aaron walked lifelessly out of the hospital.
If he had the chance to go back, he was sure he wouldn’t have chosen to become a celebrity.
The price that he had to give was too big for him to pay.
He went to the “Night Star Pub” and sat at the tables.
“Give me a bottle of beer please” mumbled Aaron.
“Yep!” replied the bar tender while handing him a bottle of beer.
Aaron drank one bottle after the other not stopping at all.
He ignored the stares around him questioning if he was the popular celebrity Aaron Yan.
He didn’t care if he will be the front page of the magazine tomorrow.
All he cared was to forget the painful and regretful feeling he had inside.
He felt lonely,
He felt helpless.
As his vision started to become blurry he felt a tap on his shoulder.
He turned around to see Gui Gui staring at him with pitiful eyes.
“Aaron? Why are you here?” questioned Gui Gui.
Aaron just smiled and turned back the other way lifelessly and continues drinking.
Gui Gui sat on the seat next to him and asked, “What’s wrong? Tell me!”
“Come drink with me!” mumbled Aaron as he ordered a jug of beer and two cups.
He poured them into the two cups spilling most of them.
“AARON! You’re spilling them!” said Gui Gui as she tried pulling Aaron’s hand away from the jug,
Aaron held onto her hand and mumbled, “Do you know how much you have hurt me?
I miss your smile” thinking she was Hebe.
Gui Gui blushed at the comment but felt strange that Aaron will say that to her.
“Aaron you’re drunk” replied Gui Gui pulling the cups away from Aaron’s hands,
Aaron’s cheeks were crimson red and his eyes hardly opened.
He was practically lying his head on the bench.
“Hebe…don’t ignore me please…I need you…” mumbled Aaron.
Gui Gui froze at his words and she felt jealousy taking over her,
So he was talking to Hebe all the time.
“Hebe Tian again huh? Why does she always take space in your mind?” mumbled Gui Gui.
“You won’t anymore after tonight” continued Gui Gui smirking once again.
