Chapter 29

Pre- wedding

As time ticked by Aaron was getting more and more nervous.
He walked around the church wondering how his married life with Gui Gui will be.
Sweet?
Boring?
Interesting?
Or….
Regretful?

Hero sat on the benches watching his friend pace around feeling sorry for him.
He was sure Hebe and Aaron loved each other but…but…it was just timing.
Maybe they weren’t meant for each other but did Hebe and him have a chance?
Hero in Hebe’s eyes were just a friend, or to the most, just a brother,
Will she ever develop feelings for him?

Hero POV
Hebe…if Aaron gets married, will you give me a chance?
Will you ever fit my name in your list of possible boy friends?
Will you ever notice how much I love you?
Will you ever understand how it feels for someone to watch the one they love loving someone else?
End Of Hero POV

Hero was disturbed by the sudden ring of his phone and he looked at the person calling him.

“Unknown?”

Who will call him?

He picked up the phone and answered it.

“Hello?” said Hero into the phone.

There were 2 minutes before the wedding will begin.
In 2 minutes Gui Gui will be walking down the hallway preparing to be Mrs. Yan.
In just 2 minutes Aaron will not ever be single again because he will be a married man.
Aaron will love Gui Gui and stay loyal to her.

“Why do I feel so empty inside? Shouldn’t a wedding be happy? Shouldn’t I be glad I’m getting married? Gui Gui is such a sweet and loyal girl. I believe we will have a wonderful future” thought Aaron however he still think he is missing something. Something that will make this wedding perfect, but what is it?

“Aaron!” yelled Chun as he rushed over to him.

“Chun? What’s wrong?” asked Aaron.

“Aaron! I have something really important to show you!” said Chun.

“But the wedding is going to begin soon, show me it later!” replied Aaron as he saw everyone already seated and people walking to the places they are supposed to be at.

“No Aaron! You have to see this! It have things to do with your future! You will regret if you don’t see this! You’ll regret marrying Gui Gui!” explained Chun who was desperate for Aaron to listen to him.

“What’s wrong with you today Chun? Why would I regret marrying Gui Gui? She’s such a lovely girl” answered Aaron, kind of disturbed by what Chun has just said.

“No Aaron! She’s not as perfect as you think!” continued Chun however he was disturbed by Hero.

“AARON!” yelled Hero who rushed over to Aaron with watery eyes.

“What’s wrong Hero? Why do you look so…so…sad?” asked Aaron confused by how many people were calling for him suddenly.

“HEBE WAS INVOLVED IN A CAR CRASH ON THE WAY TO THE WEDDING!” exclaimed Hero as he puffed because he was so worried for her.

“WHAT!” yelled Chun.

Aaron stared at Hero shocked by what he has just said.

“Aaron! Listen to me! You have to come to the hospital with me! The nurses told me the crash affected her injuries before! Aaron, come to the hospital with me!” instructed Hero as he pulled Aaron’s arm and prepared to run out of the church however Aaron stood still.

Hero turned around and stared at Aaron curious why he didn’t move.

“What are you doing Aaron! Go with Hero!” shouted Chun.

“No I can’t.” mumbled Aaron.

“What do you mean you CAN’T!” exclaimed Hero.

“Aaron! Come over to your place! The wedding is about to begin!” yelled Aaron’s father to Aaron who was standing with the boys.

“Ok Dad!” replied Aaron.

“Guys! I can’t leave now! If I leave, what will happen to Gui Gui? I can’t let her down now especially when I took her virginity! There are so many reporters here, I will create a huge trouble if I leave right now!” explained Aaron.

“So you are saying Hebe’s safety does not equal up to you and that Ghost’s wedding?” asked Hero angrily.

“Hero sorry! I can’t go now! Hebe is important to me too but…but…I can’t just go now. I need to stay calm. You can go first and I will come if I have time after the wedding!”

“I doubt you will Aaron Yan! You will be too busy making out with your wife! I can’t believe you Aaron! You’re unbelievable! How could you do this to Hebe! She’s in a critical condition now and you are telling me you care about your big fat wedding more than her! It’s because of you again Aaron Yan! If it wasn’t for your stupid wedding she wouldn’t have to come! If it wasn’t for you and Gui Gui’s lovely sweet flirting, she wouldn’t have done anything to herself! Why is it always you Aaron Yan! Always you who hurt her!” spat Hero.

“AARON! COME ON! THE WEDDING IS GOING TO START NOW!” yelled Aaron’s dad once again.

“ I’m sorry Hero, I can’t go! I need to stay here! I can’t let Gui Gui down!”
“Fine go back to your Gui Gui! Don’t ever come to find Hebe again! You can let Hebe down but you can’t let Gui Gui down? Hebe was right! Even if she came, you might’ve not ran away with her! She was right after all. You’re a disgrace to me Aaron!” continued Hero coldly as he turned around and ran to a taxi other side.

A tear slid down Aaron’s face however he wiped it off and said, “Come on Chun. We need to get ready for the wedding. It’s starting.”

“But Aaron! Hebe…” said Chun.

“Let’s go Chun!” interrupted Aaron.

Chun shook his head but followed Aaron’s instructions.

Hero ran into a taxi and looked out the window.

*Flashback

“Hello?”

“Hello Mr Kim. I am a nurse from Ying Wa Hospital and I would want to inform you that Ms Hebe Tian has been involved in a car crash. She sneaked out of hospital and was badly injured during her ride to the place she wanted to go to. The taxi driver has just broken his arm and neck and he told us she wanted to go to the church. I think it was a wedding. Would you like to come to the hospital to see her now? She’s in a critical condition. The crash affected her injuries before and made her injuries twice as bad. Another car crashed into them and unluckily the place where Ms Hebe Tian sat at was the closest to the car so she is the one injured the most”.

*End Of Flash back

A tear slid down Hero’s face.

“You have to be alright Hebe! You have to!” thought Hero as his tears fell from his eyes uncontrollably.
