"No worries, I have it!" exclaimed Hero, passing the walking stick to Hebe. "Thanks Hero!" replied Hebe, turning around again.
It's been half a year after the accident and Hebe have been getting used to her blindness. She stopped working in the childcare and started receiving her income from the government. Most of her time was spent with Hero and Aaron but she ocassionally visited a orphanage near the hospital. She usually went there after her appointment with Doctor Edrick who have now been responsible for her medication.
"So where are we going today?" asked Hebe when she safely landed on the first floor.
"Let's go to the shopping centre! I heard there is a new ice cream parlor there!"
"What! Not ice cream again, we just had them yesterday!" objected Aaron taking Hebe's hand.
"The ones we had yesterday were sorbet not ice cream!"
"Well they taste pretty much the same! I'm going to feel sick from having so much frozen stuff!"
"No you won't!"
Hero and Aaron started arguing over ice cream while Hebe just laughed at their bickering! When they finally finished, Hero won the arugument and they headed down to the shopping centre.
Gui Gui have not appeared infront of them since what happened in the hospital. The filming for Pi Li Mit were still incomplete but they could not find Gui Gui anywhere. Aaron continued his singing career but have politley rejected any roles for upcoming dramas. As for Hero, he has continued dancing but have kept it a secret from the others. He usually worked as dancers for singing performances and his dancing improved a lot too.
"So Hebe, when is the next appointment you have with Doctor Edrick?" asked Aaron as they walked down the street.
"Tommorow I think. I don't understand why I have to continue seeing him now! There's no cure for my eyes anyway. What's the point?" muttered Hebe as she lowered her head.
~*FLASHBACK*~
"Miss Tien's corneas is damaged from the car accident. The only way she can ever see again is if she has a corneal transplantation. This surgery will remove her damaged corneas and replace it with undamaged ones however it is rare for anyone to donate their corneas. In the mean time, all she can do is to wait for any donations" explained Doctor Edrick.
~*END OF FLASHBACK*~
All of them have been hoping for donations but so far, there is none. Their hopes for Hebe to see again have been slowly dying as well, it really did seem rare for her to be able to see again.
"Hebe...there is a cure for your eyes. We just need to be patient. I'm sure you can see again" replied Aaron.
Hebe yanked her hand away from his and stood away from him. "How can you be so sure Aaron! It's been half a year already! It's not going to happen! No one will donate their corneas to me! I'm going to be blind for the rest of my life!" cried Hebe.
Aaron stepped closer to Hebe but she just stepped back when she felt him moving closer. Hero stood aside looking at them with worry. This have always been happening, whenever they began talking about her eyes, Hebe will go all emotional. She has still not accepted the fact that she may be blind forever. She still didn't want to be surrounded by blackness forever."Hebe stop moving away from me!" demanded Aaron, annoyed by her behavior.
"I will stop if you stop coming closer to me!" backchatted Hebe.
"Hebe don't do this to me again!"
"I'm not doing anything!"
"Hebe-"
"Stop saying my name!" screamed Hebe covering her ears, "I don't deserve this! I don't deserve you being so nice to me! You have more important stuff to do than to hang around me! I'm just a baggage, I'm useless!"
"You're not useless!"
"I am! I can't do anything! I rely on the government for my living, I can't do anything without people with me!"
"Hebe, you can make people smile when they hear your voice! You can soothe someone's pain with your kindness! You can do a lot of things-"
"Stop your sweet talk! You're just trying to make me feel better! You're just pitying me-"
"Ok, Hebe STOP! I'm not pitying you! How many times have I said that! I'm with you because I care about you. When will you believe me!"
"Aaron, you're a superstar! You can find someone way better than me! Way prettier, at least someone that isn't blind! Why would you hang around me! If it isn't pity than what is it!"
"Damnit! How many times have I have this talk with you! When will you realise I do love you! I don't pity you!"
"Just leave me alone Aaron!"
"Hebe-"
"GO AWAY!"
Aaron yelled and kicked the bench near them as hard as he could making Hebe flinch away from him.
"Aaron, leave Hebe with me. I'll call you later!" said Hero.
"But she's just being ridiculous!"
"Come on Aaron, leave her with me!" replied Hero.
Aaron turned to Hebe and walked closer to her placing his hands on her shoulder. Hebe did not flinch away but stood still. He lowered his head and placed a gentle kiss on her forehead, "One Day I'll prove to you I do love you". With that he walked away from them and left Hebe with Hero.
Hebe crouched down and started sobbing, " Why does he have to be so nice to me?"
"Because he loves you Hebe. Everyone can tell he does!"
"Then why does he have to love me? I'm not worthy for his love! He deserves someone perfect! At least someone that is not blind!"
"I doubt he will agree to that. You're perfect to him!" replied Hero and mentally adding " and to me too".
"I'm not good for him! I have a huge baggage! I wasn't brought up in a perfect family and I'm blind! I will just make his life a mess!"
"No you won't! He loves you for you! He won't ever think of you that way!"
"He's a superstar Hero! He'll have to go around the world when he becomes more popular and I'll just make him worry! I'll just increase his pressure!"
"Hebe, you know he will give up his career for you. He'll give up anything just to be with you! You're the most important thing to him!"
"That's the problem! Sooner and later he will realise his career will be in the way and he'll just give it up! Hero, you and I know how much he loves singing!"
"But he loves you more Hebe!"
"I can't be so selfish!"
"What you're doing now is selfish! You're not letting him choose what he wants!"
"That's because I know he will choose me over singing!"
"Then why are you still denying him? Why are you still making him choose singing when you know he wants you with him more? You're not making any sense Hebe!"
"I don't know!" screamed Hebe crouching down and hugging herself. Hero walked over to her and crouched down beside her. He took her hands in his and asked, " Do you love him?" Hebe stayed still for a second and answered," I do". When Hero heard her answer, he couldn't help but feel a wave of pain wash over him. He still couldn't deny his love for Hebe. He will never be able to although he knew her heart was not with him.
"Then...then...what are you waiting for? Tell him!"
"I can't! I won't say these words to him again before I can see!"
"Why?"
"I don't want him to give up his career! I don't want to take our relationship further! It'll just be harder for us to leave each other when the time comes".
"Why would you think you and Aaron will leave eachother?"
"I don't know! I just have this feeling, something will happen. Something will tear us apart".
"Stop being so superstitious!" comforted Hero pulling her for a hug and stroking her hair.
"I can't help it!"
"Hebe, nothing will happen to you. I promise you! I'll do all I can to protect you from anything".
Hebe couldn't help but break into a smile, "Hero, thankyou. You've always been there when I needed you. I'm so glad you're my friend".
"Friend? Is that all I am to you?" teased Hero.
"No, you're a lot more to me! You're my life saver!" giggled Hebe.
Hero smiled at her response and planted a kiss on her forehead, "You're my life to me Hebe".
"Hmm? What did you say?"
"Huh? Oh...oh..nothing".
"Come on! Tell me!"
"No!"
"Tell me!"
"No!"
"Tell me!"
"N-O No!"
"Fine! I'll remember you for that!"
"You're just remembering me for that? What about the rest I've done for you?"
"You know what I mean!"
"No I don't!"
"Yes you do!"
"Ok come on, get up! You have to make a call to Aaron! I bet he is still damaging his furniture at the momment!"
"He's so bad tempered!"
"It's all because of you!" teased Hero handing his phone to her which was already dailing.
"You could've gave me some preperation before you dailed right?"
"No I couldn't!"
"Ok, give me some privacy! I'll know if you were eavesdropping!"
"I know! I know bossy boot!" chuckled Hero turning around and walking away from her.
Hebe pouted and pulled the phone to her ear, waiting for Aaron to answer.
"I'm Aaron Yan! Sorry, I'm busy at the momment and cannot answer your call! Please leave a message and I will ring you back as soon as possible! Bye!"
"BEEP!"
"Hi Aaron...I'm Hebe. What are you so busy with? Damaging furniture?" and broke into a giggle. "Well, Aaron, I just want to apologise for what I said earlier. I'm sorry for always taking out my anger on you. I know you hate it when I say those words to you but I can't help myself! Please don't be angry at me! I'll do anything! Even cleaning your house, which I think will take a while with my eyes like this and with the state of your house! So...see you later! Sorry and TAKE CARE! Don't hurt yourself with your furniture kicking!" laughed Hebe.
Hebe ended the call and called for Hero but there were no answer.
"HERO!" yelled Hebe again, but heard nothing.
She slowly walked towards where Hero has left to earlier. "Hero? Where are you?" asked Hebe. "Hero I don't want anymore-" Hebe couldn't finish her sentence and was knocked down to the ground with a blow at the back of her neck.
"You'll pay for what you've done woman!" came a voice before Hebe fainted.

Hello!
I've finally updated and I hope everyone is satisfied! Sorry for updating so late! Man I got so pissed just then! I was writing this chapter up and then I accidentally pressed the back button and I came back but everything was lost. The page expired and I was like " You must be kidding!" but it wasn't. I had to type up my work again! I nearly gave up! It was horrible when all your work was gone! I felt like bashing the laptop up! But luckily I remembered most parts or I wouldn't have completed this chapter! So, please do comment!
