These words flared through Hebe’s mind, weakening her, turning her bones to jelly. She knew who it was, the only person who would say those words. The only person who will ever do such things to her, she was back. The person she prayed night and day to never appear in front of her, the person who destroyed her relationship with Aaron.
A bucket of chilled water poured over her body, waking Hebe up from her unconsciousness. She coughed and spurt the water out of her mouth. Her arms and legs were tired together. Squirming and wriggling against the restrains, she received an evil chuckle from someone in front of her. “Nothing will do my little lamb! No one can help you, you can’t help yourself either!” the person said.
"Gui Gui?” muttered Hebe softly.
"Long time no see my friend! It’s nice to see you again unfortunately you don’t seem to be able to see me. What a pity!” chuckled Gui Gui. Hebe pulled her legs and arms closer to her body. Protecting herself from what she knew was waiting for her. Nothing she wanted or was willing to face.
"Aaron…Hero…where are you?” she thought, her body trembling with fear.
"So tell me my dear. How was the six months you spent with Aaron been? I hope you treasured it because I certainly do not have any intentions for you to ever see him again!” retorted Gui Gui emphasizing on the last couple of words.
A chill ran down Hebe’s spine as she swallowed her saliva nervously. “What do you mean?” she quietly asked, afraid of the answer.
"I think it’s pretty clear to you what I want. Pretty clear to everybody what I want!” she explained sending sharp glares at her which she could not see but feel. She didn’t answer, couldn’t answer. The blood drained out of her face as she interpreted her words. A sudden blow went across her face and her body collapsed to the ground.
"Look at me when I’m talking to you!” she heard Gui Gui yell at her. How could she? She didn’t even know where she was standing. As she struggled to get up with the trouble from her tied arms and legs she heard her burst into another roar of laughter.
"Aw, look at her, she can’t even stand up!” continued Gui Gui, her voice full of sympathy. She wasn’t even feeling sorry for her. Hebe knew it. Gui Gui would never feel sorry for her! The only person she cares about is herself, what she wants. “Come on guys, help her!’ ordered Gui Gui with a strong sense of viciousness hidden in her words. Hebe heard footsteps behind her and the next second she was flung against the wall painfully. A gasp of shock escaped through her lips.
"O whoops! Did that hurt you?” questioned Gui Gui but was interrupted by a yell of distress on Hebe’s left. “Let me go!” yelled that person who was separated by a door which was now opened.
"Hero…” mumbled Hebe hopefully. If he was here, it would make her feel a lot safer, much more confident.
"Hebe! I’m her-” His voice was cut off as he yelped in pain. Hebe could hear loud punching noises coming from the place she heard Hero’s voice. Hurt flooded her mind. Hero was being beaten up because of her, because of what she had done. Her eyes became watery; the beating up was non – stop. If it continues, Hero’s life would be in danger.
- AARON’S SIDE OF STORY-
Walking out of the shower Aaron heard a message signal from his mobile indicating someone had left a message for him. Smiling as he knew it was Hebe; he wrapped a towel around his waist and walked out of the bathroom to retrieve his phone.
"You have one message. Press 1 to listen to the message. Press 2 to delete the message…”
Pressing 1 he pressed his mobile to his ear. "Hi Aaron...I'm Hebe. What are you so busy with? Damaging furniture? (Giggle) Well, Aaron, I just want to apologise for what I said earlier. I'm sorry for always taking out my anger on you. I know you hate it when I say those words to you but I can't help myself! Please don't be angry at me! I'll do anything! Even cleaning your house, which I think will take a while with my eyes like this and with the state of your house! So...see you later! Sorry and TAKE CARE! Don't hurt yourself with your furniture kicking!"
Once again, smiling, he happily dialled Hebe’s number, waiting to hear her voice again. Unfortunately, instead of Hebe’s melodious voice from the other line, someone else answered. Someone he thought he would never hear from again making him drop his mobile emotionlessly.
- HEBE/HERO SIDE OF STORY –
"Stop! Stop hitting him!”
"Why should I? Why should I listen to you? I’m the boss here; I’m the person that everyone listens to. Don’t you dare order anyone around!”
Sending another set of glares to Hebe, Gui Gui signalled the men beating up Hero to stop. She walked casually to Hebe and left her chin up aggressively. “Do you remember what happened on the day of my wedding? What you did to destroy my wonderful planned wedding?”
The memories of that day flooded Hebe’s mind. Aaron ran away. He yelled at her at the hospital. Told her he never wanted to see her again. She must hate her for this, blamed everything on her. “I don’t” replied Hebe stubbornly receiving a sharp slap on the cheek from Gui Gui.
"Don’t you dare use that kind of attitude with me! You’re not in the place to play the hero now! Being stubborn and cocky will get you nowhere!”
"I’m not even trying to be cocky!”
Anger roared through Gui Gui as she bit her lip to stop herself from yelling in frustration. “Don’t backchat me! Guys, show her how to be respectful!” she ordered. In a couple of seconds, Hebe felt hard punches connecting with her flesh. Gasping and shutting her eyes, she stopped herself from screaming in pain.
"Don’t hit her!” she heard Hero yell through his bruised mouth, “Stop! Please stop! Don’t do this to her! She can’t stand it!”
"Shut up or you will get the same treatment!” threatened Gui Gui through gritted teeth. Part of her was jealous, jealous that Hebe had someone that would plead for her safety when she didn’t. One of the reasons why she hated her was because Hebe had things she never had. Things she always wanted to have like Aaron. Like someone to protect her.
"I don’t give a shit! You can hit me all you want but please, please don’t hurt Hebe!” responded Hero as he watched from afar. The face he loved was covered with the expression of pain. He can’t stand it, he can’t let this happen. Gathering up the energy he had left in him, he flung the arms of the men away and dashed across to Hebe; covering her from the angry punches.
"Hero!” panted Hebe who felt his arms tightly wrapped around her. He was protecting her, saving her. The care he had was evident.
"I won’t let anything happen to you…I can’t…I won’t…” he said, tightening his hold on her. The fists bored into his back and ribs painfully.
"Look at them! What a touching scene! It’s a shame we don’t have a camera. How nice would it be if you left it this way Hebe Tian? Only if you had left Aaron alone then none of this would have happened. If you would’ve just mind your own business and stick with your Hero then things wouldn’t have turned out to be so nasty!”
Hebe felt Hero’s grasp on her soften signalling he cannot stand much longer. His body strength was risky for anymore beating up. “Hero…” whispered Hebe, “let go of me, you’ll die if you let this continue”.
"No” replied Hero giving a sound of irritation, “I’ll never let you get hurt”.
"But Hero, you won’t stand much longer. You can’t die, you can’t leave me!” said Hebe placing a hand on his arm squeezing slightly.
"I’m fine” said Hero although he knew he wasn’t. The lie felt bitter on his tongue.
"Hero…” Hebe buried her head into his chest, tears streaming down her face. Why did this have to happen to them? When she thought everything was over, why did this have to happen?
"Nice! Nice! I never knew you had such a strong body Hero. Able to stand so many punches and kicks, you should be proud of yourself!” laughed Gui Gui. “Let see if you can stand this…” she continued challengingly. Raising her arm, the men stopped their actions. From behind, another man appeared with a metal poll. He walked slowly towards the two and drove it into Hero’s back breaking his hold on Hebe. Hero let out a terrible scream and fell to the ground, tears of pain soaring down his face.
"Hero!” screamed Hebe, crawling towards him guessing where he was. Without getting even near she was dragged back against the wall and punched in the stomach. Gui Gui strolled over to her and slapped her face again. “I have no idea what Aaron saw in you!” Giving her another smack on her other cheek she continued without a break. Hebe’s face grew red from the torture.
"Is this all you can do Gui Gui?” came Hero’s voice, “beat people up because you don’t get what you want. Torture them to feel better. I feel sorry for you, sorry that you don’t know the meaning of life, don’t know how to love!” Hero gave a slight smirk angering Gui Gui. Stopping her slaps, she went to Hero and stepped on his bruised ribs with her heels. Hero yelled and bit his lips.
"I dare you to say those words again.”
Closing his eyes, Hero’s stubbornness overcame his common sense. “All you can do is beat people up when they get what you want. I feel sorry for you because you don’t know the meaning of life, the meaning of love!” spat Hero. Gui Gui screamed and lifted her leg slamming it harshly onto his back.
Hero once again yelped in pain. “Hero! Don’t say anymore!” ordered Hebe who was still pulled up, against the wall, “Please don’t!” A sob escaped from her throat showing how much she was afraid of losing him. Hero smiled slightly and said, “You see what I mean, all you can do is hit people when they do things against your will”.
An evil laugh tore through the air and Gui Gui bent down lifting his face from the ground. “Have anyone ever told you that your mouth stinks? I think I can help you with that.”
Pulling Hero up from his hair, she turned the tap on from the nearby sink and shoved Hero’s face in. Gurgling and struggling against her grip, his face was soaked with the water. ‘What are you doing to him!” yelled Hebe, tears once again, threatening to fall from her eyes. The man on her left gave her another punch and she whimpered. Her ribs were certainly bruised now.
Gui Gui lifted Hero’s head from the sink and pushed him back to the ground. He breathed heavily and unsteadily, frightening Hebe. “Hero, are you alright?” she questioned in a shaky voice.
Without giving him a chance to explain, Gui Gui grabbed the metal poll from the man and whacked Hero on the leg. Repeating the process, she beat every single part of his body until his shirt was stained with fresh blood. “Do you dare to say anything now?” challenged Gui Gui. Hero wanted to get up and just kill this woman with his bare hands but he couldn’t. One of his legs is broken. One of his arms is broken.
"You’re a bitch…” muttered Hero, panting in pain. Gui Gui whacked him with the metal poll across his face, damaging his cheek bone and nose. Hero closed his eyes. Every part of him was yelling in pain, signalling they need to be attended to. He could hardly breathe. Everything around him was blurry. He knew his life was at risk…

I know I am horrible, terrible, unforgivable for leaving it there in Chapter 36. I am sorry that most of my story's chapters are written as "Author's Notes".
That is just kind of embarassing but I hope you are happy I still updated.

About the plagarism, I got over it. When I did, it was exams and assignments time so, guess what? I didn't get to update but I am really touched by the comments you guys gave me. I know, if I give up, one less bebu writer will just make guilun fans happier. I really hate Guilun now. Although, I hated it ages ago but I still hate it. Can't help it and their fans. Some of them, I'm not saying all, are really ticking me off. They are just so unbelievable. They just get my blood boiling to the highest point. Well, all I want to say is, a really big thankyou.
Thankyou for all of you who commented and comforted me after knowing about the plagarism. Readers are actually the most important thing for writers. I'm really happy that I received comments from the people that love this story. I'm sorry for making you guys wait for nearly 2 months. I know I'm horrible with my updates but at least I never stop them right? Haha~

By the way, the new story is called " Captured ". I think many of you who enjoys this story will enjoy that one too because it's genre is romance but sad romance. Well, yea, a long with some mystery and adventure.
