“Eh? You’re hungry? Araso. Junpyo ah! JiHan is hungry! Shall we go?!” JanDi called out to JunPyo.
“Ah? Yeh!” he shouted back.

“Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha! Can’t catch me!” HanYoung yelled to Andy as he bounded off after her. The two children ran round and round in circles around the golden retriever and HyungWoo, laughing out loud and having a healthy dose of exercise, fresh air and sunlight. Beside them was a whitewashed picket fence which separated them from the slow flowing clear river and ducks.
F4 and their families and guests had come to the Gu family’s private lake and garden on this great day. The skies were blue, the air was clear and the surrounding temperature was neither too hot nor too cold. It was just nice. There was a slight breeze and it lightly blew GaEul’s loose strands of hair off her face as she looked straight ahead, contented, at her daughter and son who were having fun. Sitting closely beside her, YiJung stared at her lovingly and smiled to himself, realizing, once again, how beautiful his wife was. Slowly, unexpectedly, he leant forwards, closed his eyes… … and kissed her on the lips.
GaEul was totally taken by surprise at the unexpected kiss and somehow, automatically, kissed him back. In a second or two though, she remembered where they were and immediately pushed YiJung off and blushed.
“Yah! You two! I didn’t have to know how much you two love each other you know?”
Turning their head behind, they saw JunPyo and JanDi walking towards them, both carrying packed food bought from restaurants nearby and both grinning and smirking at them.
“Yah, what business is it of yours if I love my wife, huh?” YiJung retorted, swinging an arm around GaEul’s neck.
“Where’s JiHoo?” JanDi asked, changing the subject quickly upon seeing GaEul blush a crimson red for the second time that day. GaEul mouthed “Gomawayo” to her.
“Uh, he went for a walk on the other side of the lake with Haraboji and HwangBo.” YiJung nonchalantly replied, his arms still around GaEul’s neck.
“WooBin?” JunPyo asked.
“To shop for his girlfriend’s birthday present.” YiJung answered again.
JanDi and JunPyo busied themselves by laying the huge, newly bought, blue and white checkered picnic mat on the ground. They then neatly placed the edible food on the mat and sat down.
“Yah! JiHan! HanYoung! HyungWoo! Lunchtime!” JanDi shouted, calling the children to lunch.
“Yeh Omma!”
“Yeh Ajumma!”
“Eh?” HyungWoo cocked his head to one side. The only kind of lunch he knew came either in the form of milk or came in the form of mushy shapeless baby food in a glass container.
“Stay here,” YiJung whispered to GaEul as he got up and walked towards HyungWoo. At the same time, the two children were running towards the food. Andy had diverted his attention to barking at the ducks which were coming close to the fence.
“HyungWoo ah!” YiJung said as he lifted his chubby son with his strong arms and embraced him. HyungWoo squealed and hugged his Appa tightly. It wasn’t everyday that Appa would carry him. YiJung then swirled around, supporting HyungWoo only by his armpits. It gave HyungWoo the feeling that he was flying and he giggled out loud. Both father and son were there playing, laughing and enjoying themselves while GaEul fed her daughter and smiled at them.
“Ah! Omma! Hurry up!” JiHan opened his mouth in front of JanDi and waited for her to feed him.
“Wait, wait!” JanDi clumsily and quickly scooped some rice and fed it to her son.
“Omma, ah!” JunPyo waited for JanDi to feed him.
“Aish, JunPyo! Feed yourself! Can’t you see that I’m busy?” JanDi shot back, refusing to feed him.
“Yah! You’re being unfair again!” JunPyo complained and pouted.
“Gu JunPyo, my good boy, feed yourself, okay?” JanDi pleaded and proceeded to peck JunPyo on the cheek.
JunPyo’s hand found its way to JunPyo’s cheek and rubbed it.
JunPyo wasn’t satisfied, but what could he do?
Looking at the two, GaEul could only smile to herself. HanYoung on the other hand though, wanted to say something.
“Ajusshi, you’re so funny!” HanYoung giggled.
“Ah, ah, ah,” JunPyo absentmindedly said as he ruffled her hair. HanYoung laughed out loud this time as she cringed away from him.
“HanYoung, let’s play scissors, paper, stone,” JiHan suggested.
“Okay,” HanYoung agreed.
