YiJung didn’t know what to do too and could only cry silently and pull his wife closer and hug her even though she had declared that she hated him.
“YiJung ah, I want my HanYoung…” GaEul sobbed on YiJung’s shoulder as she clung onto him tightly.
About an hour earlier, GaEul had returned home together with HyungWoo at the suggestion of Grandpa Yoon. His reason was that it was getting dark and cold and them waiting outside in the cold was of no use at all. Robbed of all her energy by sadness, GaEul simply agreed. Once she reached home, she passed the then sleeping HyungWoo to a servant and walked zombie-like to her room. She sat on her bed and grabbed the nearest pillow. She buried her face in it and cried for the rest of the hour. When the door creaked open to reveal YiJung, she hopped out of bed and ran towards him, pleading that he had found HanYoung. But he only came back to tell her the bad news. That was when she became hysterical.

Over at the Gu manor, JunPyo and JanDi had just arrived home. JanDi went straight to find JiHan, knowing that he would be depressed about HanYoung being missing and indeed, she was right.
JiHan was found in his room, throwing stuff around, aiming them at the walls, other objects, or even the maids who screamed every time he did that. Upon seeing his mother, JiHan ran towards her and hugged her legs before bursting into tears. JanDi simply bent down to hug him. JunPyo also came into the room but he didn’t consol his son or anything. He simply just sat beside his son and wife and put on a solemn face. Usually, he would tell his son that men shed blood and never tears but today, he didn’t. He too knew about how one would feel losing someone important.
Later, when JiHan could cry no more, JanDi carried him to his bed. She didn’t even require him to wash up or brush his teeth first. Today, it didn’t bother her at all. After all, she knew that he cared not for anything else other than HanYoung after what had happened.
JanDi and JunPyo simply kissed JiHan’s forehead and said goodnight before they left the room together and turned off the lights.
“No! I must find HanYoung! I must find HanYoung!” JiHan kept repeating these sentences in his head. Pretty soon, his mind took over his reasoning.
He opened his door slightly to peer outside only to find a few man-servants on guard duty. That’s way’s a no-go. He decided to do something else.
JiHan pulled his multiple bed sheets away from his bed and started to tie them together. They formed a long, not-so-strong makeshift rope. Yet, it looked like it could hold JiHan’s weight. After all, they were made of the best quality. With that done, he threw one end out of his window and secured the other to a leg of his bed. JiHan then started to climb over and climb down. Soon, he was down. All those physical trainings by his father were not for naught.
Climbing onto his mini motorized scooter, JiHan drove off into the night, unsuspected by anyone. He was protected from the cold by only one thick sweater.
