“HanYoung!”
“Appa!”
True enough, right before his very own eyes and standing before a broken bowl was HanYoung. His HanYoung. GaEul’s HanYoung. Their HanYoung.
“Appa!” HanYoung shouted.
“HanYoung ah! HanYoung!” YiJung exclaimed.
The daughter-and-father pair ran towards each other with their arms stretched towards the other.
“HanYoung ah!” YiJung cried as he pulled his daughter in and wrapped her in a tight embrace. The tears of worry and anguish held back for so long since the previous day flowed feely down YiJung’s cheeks. HanYoung too was crying because she had definitely missed her Appa. YiJung buried his face in HanYoung’s small shoulder then kissed her cheek.
“Yah, so HanYoung was here all along?” JiHoo asked.
“JiHoo-ssi! WooBin-ssi!” HanYoung cried and ran towards them. YiJung let her go.
“HanYoung ah! You bad, bad, naughty girl!” WooBin said as he choked on words and nearly cried. JiHoo and WooBin then hugged her together.
HanYoung felt so relieved and loved.
“Ah, master, Kamsahamnida! Cheonmal Kamsahamnida! Kamsahamnida for taking care of HanYoung all this while,” YiJung said in between sobs then bowed.
“HanYoung’s you’re daughter!?!” Master exclaimed.
“Yeh! He’s my Appa,” HanYoung replied, turning around.
“Eh?! Ah, please wait a while; the porridge is nearly done,” Master said. He was confused.
“HanYoung was YiJung’s daughter? Then, HanYoung must be GaEul’s daughter! Ah! No wonder she looked so much like GaEul! But if she’s been here for so long, that means that they must have been searching for her since yesterday… or maybe even before that. Ah…!” Master thought while pouring the porridge into a disposable container. F3 and HanYoung had gone out and the adults were all mock-scolding HanYoung.
“HanYoung, you bad girl, did you know how worried Appa and Omma were?” YiJung scolded her.
“Yah! Me too!” WooBin added.
“Bianhae,” HanYoung replied.
“Yah, JiHoo, did you not worry?” WooBin asked. “She’s still your goddaughter!”
“Well, it’s not like she’s not your goddaughter either! Yah, HanYoung, I wasn’t too worried. But Haraboji was so worried! He couldn’t eat because of you! If Haraboji needs to be admitted into the hospital, it’ll be all your fault,” JiHoo said and shook his index finger at her.
“Weh!!” HanYoung cried. “Appa, Omma, WooBin-sshi, JiHoo-shhi, Bianhae!! I will never runaway again! Weh!!”
“Ah, HanYoung!” YiJung said as he moved to carry her and then sat her on his lap. “Of course you’re not going to do that again. Because if you do that again, I will leave you alone and you will never see us again. Araso?”
“Araso,” HanYoung sniffed. YiJung patted her hair.
“Yah!! Hot warm porridge is here!” Master yelled, coming out of the kitchen with a container full of porridge in his hand.
“Woah!” the waitress pretended to gush over it in an attempt to get the attention of the two bachelors.
“Yah, HanAh! Go wash the dishes,” Master ordered the waitress.
“Master! It’s Honey! HONEY! Not HanAh! Aish! And I don’t want to wash the dishes now!” the waitress pouted.
“You will do it now or get your salary reduced by half!” Master shouted.
“Ah, ah! ARASO!” the waitress stuck her tongue out at him when he had turned his back.
WooBin and JiHoo were slightly amused by that short interaction between the employer and the employee.
“Yah,” Master said as he patted HanYoung’s head.
There was an awkward silence between them when no one knew what to say.
One whole minute later, WooBin broke the silence with a question about something which had been baffling him.
“Ah, er, Master, didn’t two guys in black come to search for HanYoung?” WooBin asked.
“What two guys? Two guys? AH! Ah! Yeh!” Master remembered.
“So they did come here… Why didn’t you tell them that HanYoung was here?” WooBin asked again.
“Why? They looked like bad guys… I had to protect HanYoung you know? What if they wanted to kidnap her and send her to Pluto the feed their King? The king of Pluto is carnivorous you know?” came the reply.
“Yah! Argh!” WooBin held his head and felt a bit frustrated. They couldn’t find HanYoung earlier because of THIS?! Then what was he supposed to do to overcome this kind problem? Get his men to wear tutus?
JiHoo was simply dumbfounded and Yijung a little amused.
“Then, didn’t you read the newspapers? HanYoung was everywhere,” JiHoo asked.
“What newspapers? I don’t read newspapers. I only read these,” Master said as he pointed to the books and magazines on the supernatural scattered all over on table. “Newspapers are not so important. These are much more important because it will determine whether we survive or not. Ah, I can feel a dark aura, like someone wants to strangle me…”
JiHoo was indeed wanting to strangle the man seated before him. Yet he held back because he didn’t want to go to jail and leave his Haraboji behind.
“Argh!” WooBin let out a yell and sank under the table.
YiJung was a little pissed, yet he was still amused.
HanYoung was totally agreeing with the weird man.
“Yeh, Master, I feel the vibes too,” she agreed.
“HanYoung! No!!” YiJung, WooBin and JiHoo thought together.
