“Okay,” GaEul agreed and ate the spoonful of porridge HanYoung was holding up for her.
The mother and daughter pair were lost in their own world and were as happy as they could be since one week ago. HanYoung was back and that was all that mattered to GaEul. She was finally home with her family, and that was all that mattered to HanYoung.
“Omma!” someone squealed from behind them. Turning around, they saw YiJung carrying HyungWoo who was lively and happy as usual.
“Noona! Noona! Noona!” HyungWoo suddenly screamed when he saw HanYoung at the table. He had missed her presence for the past one week. There had been no one to play with him for his mother was constantly crying or depressed and was no fun at all. His father was always out and never at home. The maids who took care of him were not much fun either. Therefore, he was extremely glad to see his Noona back.
“HyungWoo!” HanYoung exclaimed and ran towards him and hugged him really tight. YiJung put him down so that they could enjoy their reunion better.
“Yobo, remember to eat it all up, okay?” YiJung told GaEul.
“Yeh. This came from the shop I used to work at right? By the way, where did you find HanYoung?” GaEul asked.
“Even if we told you the truth, you wouldn’t believe it,” WooBin cut in.
“Really?” GaEul asked again.
“Deh. Well, we found her a-”
“AH!” JiHoo yelled and interrupted WooBin.
“Yah! What’s the problem with you?” WooBin snapped at JiHoo.
“No! Not again! JiHan’s missing!” JiHoo replied back.
“BWOH!?! JiHan’s missing!?!” Everyone in the room, with the exception of HyungWoo, exclaimed.
“JiHoo, have you gone mad?” WooBin broke the shocked silence.
“Aniyo! It says so right there! Look!” JiHoo prodded the day’s newspaper with his finger. True enough, taking up the whole of the page, was JiHan’s smiling face and the words below: “Missing, Gu JiHan, heir of ShinHwa Corps. 1000000KW reward will be given if found.”
“JanDi! JanDi ah! Why didn’t she tell me?” GaEul whispered. “”Where’s the phone? Give me the phone!” GaEul searched frantically around for the house’s telephone and YiJung offered his Handphone which GaEul took without thanking him. Without another word, she punched in the same familiar numbers which would lead her to JanDi’s own Handphone.
“Yobseoyo,” a wavering voice answered.
“JanDi ah! Why didn’t you tell me that JiHan had gone missing! Bweh!?! Am I not your friend?” GaEul demanded.
“You know about it? Oh, right, we advertised it in the papers and on the television,” JanDi muttered. “But how could we tell you when HanYoung herself had gone missing?”
“I’ve found HanYoung already! I’ve found her today! But when did JiHan go missing?”
“Since last week, one day after HanYoung went missing. I shouldn’t have left him alone! I knew that he would have wanted to go find HanYoung! But, you’ve found HanYoung? That’s good.” JanDi replied, her voice about to crack.
“JanDi ah, where are you? I’m coming to see you right now.” GaEul said.
“I’m at the park where HanYoung and JiHan last played.” JanDi replied while finally letting the tears that she had held back fall.
“JanDi ah, don’t go anywhere else. I’m coming now,” GaEul ordered and hung up.
“I’m going to go find JanDi at the park we went to last week,” GaEul announced and marched out.
“GaEul! But you’re still so weak! Let me go with you!” YiJung ran after her.
“Omma, I want to go too!” HanYoung left too.
“Me too!” WooBin added and went off too.
“I guess I should go too then,” JiHoo said and made to leave. Looking at HyungWoo beside the door who was staring at him and looking bewildered, JiHoo added: “Come on, I guess I’d better bring you too.” He went over and carried HyungWoo. Together, they left the kitchen and went to JiHoo’s car.
