One afternoon when Oppa was out, we had a visitor.
“Chae Yeon, how have you been? Are you staying here?”
“I am very good, thanks for asking?” Oppa warned me not to tell strangers that I lost my memory, he said there might be bad people around
“Do you intend to just stay here with Seung gi?” The stranger asked. So he knows Oppa. Maybe he is not a stranger after all.
“I think so.” I replied
“Are you alright?” He came closer to me. He tried to touch me but I backed away
“I think you should go…” I got a little scared. I wished Oppa was home
“Chae Yeon, tell me what is going on? Why are you staying here with Seung gi? You can tell me, I’m your Tei. Come back with me!” He pulled me close to him
“Tei?” Is that his name?
“Please go. I’m tired, I would like to rest” I pulled myself out of his arms
The man starred at me for a while before walking to the door
“You know where to find me if you need me. Come back soon, I miss you”
I stood motionless starring at the door, watching it close. After a while, that man drove away.
“Seung gi Oppa, were we from somewhere else?” I was still thinking of Tei’s words this afternoon. He asked me to come back. What does that mean?
“I came from Korea, but you… I’m not too sure.. i think you dropped from heaven”
“Heaven? That’s not possible, Oppa, can you be serious” He was laughing and teasing me during dinner”
“Am I from Korea too? Why are we here? Why are we not in Seoul?”
“Don’t you like it here? Don’t you like being with me?” Oppa was still smiling. He was in a very good mood today.
“Its not that, I’m just curious about my past”
“Do we know a Tei Shi?” I badly wanted to know who that stranger was.
Oppa’s face turned serious. Maybe I should not have mention about the stranger. Who is that person? Is he a bad person? Oppa pulled me into his arms and held me very tightly.
“He is your friend from Seoul. Did you meet him today?”
“He came by our home today.”
“What did he say?” Oppa held on to my arm really tightly, it started to hurt a little
“Oppa, it hurts” I pushed his hands away
“I’m sorry dear, what did tei said to you?” It was the first time Oppa behaved this way
“He didn’t say much. He asked me to go back with him”
“Do you want to go back with him?” Oppa look hurt.
“I don’t know who he is, why would I leave with him? Oppa, are you angry I talked to him?”
“I’m just worried, that’s all. Did he stay long? What time did he come? Was he alone?”
“He just came and left when I told him to. Don’t be angry anymore.” I gave Oppa a kiss. He likes it when I kiss him. He will smile and his cute little dimples will appear.
“I’m not angry, how can I ever be angry with my love? You know I love you and will do anything for you right?” Seung gi hugged me close to him.
That stranger is scary, the mention of his name made Oppa change so drastically. I don’t want to see the stranger nymore. I don’t want to know anymore.
“Look what Oppa bought for you today” He brought out a beautiful box tied in silver ribbons.
“Is it chocolates?” I remember he bought chocolates for me when we were shopping at the mall.
Seung gi opened the box and pulled out a sparkling ring.
“I think it should fit” he placed the ring on my finger. "Do you like it?”
I nodded my head, starring at the ring. It is a very simple but pretty ring, it has a big diamond stone that sparkles. I can tell the ring means a lot to Oppa. He took out another box, which has two rings in it. Those rings were much simpler.
“These rings are wedding bands. When you have fully recovered, I hope you’ll put it on for me, and I will put yours on for you too” Oppa placed the box in my hands.
“Oppa, did we planned to get married before the accident?”
“I don’t know about you, but I did.”
“I’m sorry, its all my fault, I should not have got into an accident”
“There’s nothing to be sorry about, Silly, you are here with me now aren’t you? And we’ll be together till we both grow old and have grandchildren. Until then, I’ll still be holding on to your hand, I will never let go.
Tei:
Chae Yeon has definitely gone missing. We were supposed to meet in Seattle after she visited her friend, but she never turned up. I called Kim and he said she left on her own. Where could she have gone? No one answered her phone and she didn’t leave me any messages. I was hoping this trip, I could cheer her up. I know she was pretty bothered by the scandal she had with Seung gi. I know she likes that boy. But its impossible for them. Everyone knows it except that stubborn boy.
Chae Yeon is my closest friend in the industry. Many people think I like her and we are dating, but its not like that. I do like her, but I know she deserves someone better. That’s why all these years, I have always treated her just as a friend. I will continue to do so, because to me, love is not possession. I just want to see her happy and I will be as well. I know she does not think of me as her boyfriend, because I’m younger. She has always been so strong and stubborn about that. Brian, Heel Chul, all these guys have failed in their attempt to romance her. People have different ways of loving, and I think it applies very well with us. Despite all the rumours between us, we understand where each other lies in each other’s lives. Now I am just worried about her.
That morning, just as I was about to leave for the airport, I saw Lee Sueng gi. He just came out of a drug store and he dropped a piece of paper. I was shocked when I picked it up. It was a prescription.

There was a phone number as well. I called that number and it was Seung gi’s voice. Are they hiding in Seattle? What is Chae Yeon thinking? After all trouble of escaping from Seoul to be away from Seung gi, she moves in with him? I need to confront her. I went to the address on that prescription; it was a beautiful country side cottage. There were no cars in the porch. I wonder if she is in.
“Hello? Anyone home?”
“Welcome home!” she greeted as she opened the door. That was Chae Yeon, my Chae Yeon. Her smile disappeared when she saw me. Was she expecting Seung gi?
“Can I come in?” She looked shocked, so I entered the house while she stood there starring at me.
“Chae Yeon, how have you been? Are you staying here?”
“I am good, thanks for asking?” She finally said something
“Do you intend to just stay here with Seung gi?” I went straight to the point. In our friendship, she never hid anything from me, especially when it comes to relationship with men.
“I think so.” She thinks so? If she is not certain, why is she living with him?
“Are you alright?” I tried to hold her, she looked scared. She seems to be alone at home.
“I think you should go…” She said in a shivery voice. Is Seung gi here? Why does she seem so scared?
“Chae Yeon, tell me what is going on? Why are you staying here with Seung gi? You can tell me, I’m your Tei. Come back with me!” I tried to hold her again
She looks confused and troubled, and chased me away. She didn’t want to listen to my questions, she never treated me this way before.
I didn’t know what happened, but I am going to find out the truth.
