“I don’t understand you…” Jessica said wearily, staring at the man before her.
Louis avoided her painful eyes. “You don’t need to…”
“Why are you doing this to me… to us?” she asked, shaking her head slightly.
“Like you said, you’ll never understand…” he said carelessly.
“Try me…” she bit her quivering lips stubbornly.
“I don’t have the time for this okay?! I thought you should have seen enough at the bar that night?!” Louis got up from his seat and turned to leave.
He could no longer take her ‘interrogation’. It was twice as painful for him. As much as he’d like to jump over and hug her close, he knew, he couldn’t, or rather, he shouldn’t.
“Have you ever loved me?”
Louis sighed letting out the bitter air in him. You’ll do better without me Jessica…
“No…,” He forced the words out of his lips. Closing his eyes and inhaling deeply, he spitefully added, “I’m a womanizer. I don’t know what love is.”

Michelle stared on at the piles that Shirley had just brought in for her. Her clients were increasing rapidly since Raymond’s release. She was pleased but she was beginning to fear that she would no longer have time for Raymond.
*Beep*
“Ms. Yip, there’s a lady, Ms. Hsuan who says she knows you and wants to see you. She doesn’t have an appointment. Do you have time for it?”
“Sure, just send her in,” Michelle replied her secretary.
“Hello Jess,” Michelle looked up at the figure that just entered. “Have a seat please.”
“Wow, now I understand what all those Legendary Lawyer’s about…” Jessica said admiring her workload stacking all over her desk and also a coffee table nearby.
“Haha… exaggerations, half of those are rubbish that will be going through the shredder…” Michelle said humbly.
“So, somehow my inner voice tells me you’re not here for mere friendly catching up…” Michelle said again.
“Lawyers will always be lawyers. They read people like open books…” Jessica kidded. Michelle laughed at her analogy.
“But yeah, I’m here for a favor,” Jessica admitted.
Michelle’s heart dreaded. “Louis?”
“Yeah, Mich, you’re the best lawyer I’ve ever known, can you please help me with his case. I… I just want him to surrender and walk out of his dark life! I mean, I can persuade him saying you can try to appeal for a lighter sentence…”
Michelle stood up and walked over to Jessica. “Jess, it’s not that I don’t want to help you. But, you must stay away from Louis, he… is a dangerous man. Only he can help himself…”
“But Michelle!” Jessica sprinted up from her seat just as Michelle fell forward and caught Jessica’s shoulders for support.
“Mich? Mich?” Jessica frantic at her sudden faint.
“I… I’m fine. Just a little tired,” she assured Jessica who let her take her seat instead.
“But you don’t look alright to me!” Jessica observed Michelle’s pale face and faint lips.
“It’s my first baby…” Michelle regained her strength and smiled at Jessica who looked at her worriedly. “Don’t worry, I’ve already booked a check up with Dr. Steven.”

Steven read her report without the usual satisfactory smile on his face.
“Doctor?” Michelle peered over and tried to read his expression.
“Mrs. Lam, how often are you throwing up lately?” Steven asked.
“Hmm, around five to six times a day,” Michelle said thoughtfully.
“Do you feel faint or drowsiness at sudden times?”
“Yes, aren’t these normal for pregnancies?” she asked in return.
Dr. Steven only nodded without replying as he lifted his pen and began scrawling some medications.
“What’re those for?” her curiosity picking up, seeing the list longer than usual.
“Oh, just some vitamins, you’re a little over exhausted. Mrs. Lam, I advice you to not over work yourself. Your health is not as good and you’re pregnant, so you’ll have to take more care…” Dr. Steven dotted at the end of his medication and passed Myolie the list.
Michelle nodded, as Myolie led her out to collect her medication at the dispensary.
Myolie closed the consultation room door behind her. “Dr. Ma, why didn’t you let her know? She…”
Steven looked deep in his thought and did not answer until a while. “I don’t want to stress her up more than she is. She’s a complicated case. She’s had a bad fall, she’s pressured, she’s pregnant, she’s exhausted… She doesn’t need another reason to fall apart. Besides, I’m hoping that it’ll slowly disperse away after some time…”
Myolie only nodded silently.

Louis looked at the crates of guns and rifles before him. He glanced at the other few long-time, loyal followers of Mo, who were summoned like himself. He gulped down an uneasy feeling.
This couldn’t be any good… he thought. Looks like WW3 to me… God, are you sending me to hell?
Mo finally appeared. “All here?!”
“Yes Boss!”
Mo’s face could not look any harsher. “Good, this operation is my most important one after the many years of leading this Mo triad… I’ll make sure that dude doesn’t get away any longer!”

“What?!” Mo Han slammed his palm disbelievingly at the desk before him. The lawyer before him jumped.
Lam Tin smiled delightedly. “It seems that Dad has made his wisest choice…”
“He must be blind!” Mo Han glared furiously and swept out of the room, kicking the chair angrily on his way.
Lam Tin looked back at the lawyer. “I’m sorry about that.”
“It’s fine Mr. Lam Tin, late great Master Mo would never dream of leaving his hard earned and established corporation in the hands of such a brat. Here, please sign here…”
Lam Tin picked up his pen and signed. “It’s… Lam?”
The lawyer smiled again. “Master Mo wanted you to know he appreciated you more than he shows. He couldn’t treat you better than his son when he was alive, but he always knew you were his better son even though you were adopted. He wants the Corporation to take after your surname, he wishes it to be totally yours and no longer have anything to do with the Mo’s”
Lam Tin nodded.

Tyler shivered silently, as he watched his father beaten to death by the loan sharks who chased them wherever they went.
“There’s his kid! Send him to meet his father in hell as well!” one of them shouted and caught Tyler by his collar, dragging him out from behind the cupboard to face the gruesome sight of his dead father.
Tyler swung his leg 180 degrees upward to kick away the knife from the hands of his attacker. His fists were quick and powerful for a frail 13 year old kid. The man was down on his feet within seconds.
The other men started forward, but their leader held up his palm to stop them. “Fighter huh kid? Do you want to revenge for your father?”
Tyler looked hatefully at the man.
“Oh no, I’m not the one. It’s that surnamed Lam uncle of yours. They’re living off the will your grandfather left him. Your poor father’s got nothing, shouldn’t you try to fight for him?”
------------------------------------------*End of Flashback*------------------------------------------
“This mission does not allow any mistake or failures, do you understand?!” Mo warned all his best men, who all nodded.
