I come to you in peace...and with an update lol. I've been studying, I've been bored and I've suffered from writer's block for a while now...
but anyways...that is the past and so...we should all move on with our lives, right?
OF COURSE! and here's the update

Ch 18
Leila was walking back to the park bench where she left Jacky with Ron...as she got closer she noticed how happy Jacky was sitting there chatting happily with Ron. She was quite amazed at how good he was with her son...for someone who seemed to be only good at sweet talking the ladies and turning the truth upside down...he was also pretty good with kids.
Leila walked closer to the two of them and cleared her throat to cause them to notice her
Jacky: Mommy!!! Uncle Ron here was telling me these really cool stories...you should listen to them too...like how he went to Antarctica to see the penguins or that time in Kenya...
Leila looked at Ron
Ron: Your son seems to really like talking about animals...I was about to tell him about this interesting creature we have at work who likes to get into other people’s business and is almost as fierce as a lioness
Jacky’s eyes were wide opened
Leila laughed: Don’t be silly Jacky, there’s no creature like that at our work place...he’s just joking (she stared at Ron)
Ron looked at a disappointed Jacky: I’m not joking...that creature...well...she’s your mom...as fierce as a lioness...indeed
Jacky laughed: Uncle Ron has a point
Leila: Jacky
Jacky looked at his mom: Sorry mommy...can I have my ice cream now...it looks like it’s going to melt in your hands
Leila: Oh...right, I almost forgot...well since I haven’t seen you in a year I didn’t know what flavour you wanted so I got strawberry, vanilla and chocolate
Jacky: I still like vanilla, mommy...and I know you like chocolate...so you can give Uncle Ron the strawberry?
Leila: And how would you know if Uncle Ron likes strawberry
Jacky: He does... (Looks at Ron), right?
Ron smiled: sure...
~A few days later~
Ron was at the hospital visiting Myolie since he really had nothing better to do...well...he could try to ask Tavia out for lunch but he knew that she would only reject his offer. So...visiting an old friend and asking her out to lunch made a lot more sense.
Ron: where’s Dr. Wu?
Nurse: She’s doing her rounds...you could wait for her in her office if you’d like, Mr. Ng
Ron: Alright then...wait...how do you know I’m Mr. Ng?
The nurse smiled: I’ve seen your pictures before on the cover of magazines...so it’s not that hard to figure out...
Ron chuckled: Oh...and did you by any chance see pictures of Dr. Wu and me as well?
The nurse nodded
Ron: Do you think we make a good couple?
The nurse laughed and at that moment the both of them heard someone clearing their throat. Turning around to Ron’s anticipation, it was Myolie
Myolie: Tracy, is Mr. Ng bothering you?
Tracy shook her head: Not at all...he was just asking me a couple of questions while waiting for your return Dr. Wu
Myolie looked at Ron
Ron: I’m a good guy...why do you always think of me in such a bad light...especially when...our families are so close...
Myolie shook her head and walked straight into her office with Ron following behind her
Myolie: Are you really that bored that you’re here to start rumours?
Ron: What? What are you talking about?
Myolie: You know exactly what I mean
Ron: don’t tell me you got yourself a boyfriend?
Myolie: What?
Ron: Why else would you care about whether or not we would start rumours about our relationship
Myolie: I...
Ron: no need for an explanation...I know Bosco’s been back in town and I know the two of you have a history together...
Myolie: Stop making things up
Ron: Or...are you actually in love with me?
Myolie: Of course...what type of women would not fall for the incredibly rich, good-looking, eloquent and charming Ron Ng...
Ron pretended to wipe a tear from his eye: I never thought I’d live till the day I would get to hear compliments from the oh so picky and filled with high expectation Ms. Myolie Wu
Myolie laughed: Well...I guess I must be in a pretty good mood then...
Ron: I think that’s because someone as amazing as I am came all the way to the hospital to ask you out for lunch...
Myolie: That’s all? Lunch?
Ron closed the door behind him and came up a bit closer to Myolie: What else do you want to do?
Myolie cleared her throat: I thought you’d be here asking for a favour
Ron: A favour?
Myolie was about to respond when they both heard the sound of Ron’s ring tone
Ron: Hold that thought...please?
Myolie laughed as she watched Ron answer his call
~ on the phone~
Ron: Hello?
Jacky: Uncle Ron?
Ron: Jacky?
Jacky: I was just wondering if you’re busy tomorrow.
Ron: Not that I’m aware of, why?
Jacky: Um...mommy’s going to take me to Disneyland but...I’m a bit of a handful sometimes and plus you promised to hang out with me...so...
Ron laughed: I’d love to come...if you’re inviting me
Jacky: Of course I am...why else would I call? (In the background) Mommy! Uncle Ron agreed to come...we’ll have SOOO much fun tomorrow
Ron heard the sound of the little boy running and the next thing he knew...
Leila: Hello?
Ron: Hi, did you miss hearing the sound of my voice for the past few days and you used your son as a way to get to see me again?
Leila laughed: In your dreams. You don’t have to really come...
Ron: I can’t lie to a kid...
Leila: Yet you can easily lie to the numerous women around you...I see you have your priorities straight
Ron: I’m not a liar...I’m a lawyer...there’s a difference
Leila: Well...if you’re really coming...
Ron: Which I am, of course
Leila: Where do you want us to meet you?
(In the background) Jacky: Tell Uncle Ron to come pick us up...it’ll be a lot easier mommy
Ron laughed: I heard that...I guess that would work...I’ll see the both of you tomorrow then
Leila: Alright
Ron: Wait
Leila: What is it?
Ron: Sleep well ok, don’t get too excited about our outing tomorrow
Leila: Oh please
She hung up the phone before he could even make yet another ‘smart-ass’ response
~ end~
Myolie was now staring at Ron who had just put away his phone. Ron’s eyes finally met hers as they had a moment...
Ron: Jealous?
Myolie: What?
Ron: I was just asking...
Myolie: So...who called...and whose son is that?
Ron laughed: Don’t worry...he’s not mine...he’s Leila’s
Myolie: Leila’s? Your interim...
Ron nodded: Yup...that’s her
Myolie: How old is her son?
Ron: Probably around 7 or 8...I don’t know
Myolie: But...she looks even younger than me...which means that she must have had him when she was...
Ron: I think 18
Myolie: Wow...
Ron: That was my reaction too...but ya...her son’s really cute and we get along pretty well...and I promised him we could hang out before he leaves with his dad...so tomorrow...I’ll be off to Disneyland
Myolie: Sounds like fun...
Ron: Wanna join us? It would be pretty fun...and you haven’t been to Disneyland like in forever...I think
Myolie: No...it’s ok...I think that cute little friend of yours wants to hook you up with his mommy...and I wouldn’t want to ruin his plan.
Ron: What? You’re totally over thinking the situation...and besides...we both know that it doesn’t matter what he plans to do...I’m only in love with one woman...and well...that would be Tavia...and my best friend in the whole wide world is...you...so...there’s not much room for a third woman in my life...
Myolie: That’s what you say now...we’ll have to wait and see...

Ah...finally I get to write in a bit of Ron and Myolie...I've always thought they'd make a decent pair...really...I have...but their not on my list of my most favourite pairs...
Anywho...this chapter isn't that 'fun' or exciting but hey, we all know the next one is going to be pretty amazing...
What do you think about Myolie's view about our guest star, Jacky?
for some reason...I have a feeling she might be onto something lol
