"Shim JiYoon! You pathetic loser. How dare you refuse to buy me lunch?!" A manly looking fat girl came up to me and nudged her friends as if it were a joke. "I'm hungry. Go get me some food now!"
"Let's not start anything shall we? Just so you know...lunch had been over since four hours ago." I tried to not let my anger take over. This girl who I thought was a friend had suddenly thought I would take shit from anyone. I should stop being so nice to random people.
The two friends of her's made chicken sounds as I felt my face getting hotter. How imature can these girls get? Soon they walked around me and blocked my path as I stood there giving them glares.
"Seriously..you don't want to get me pissed. I'm not your dog buying food for you everyday you know" I snapped back unable to care any more if a teacher had been watching. If there was then they should have noticed by now.
"But you are my dog. You're such a goody two shoe and you're only acting tough. Deep inside..." The huge fat girl stepped and faced me even closer. Her breath reaked like a dead pig. She probably had pork this morning...or just an hour ago. "...you're just a fake who sneaks around and tries to get everyone to like her. I hate girls like you!"
"Oh yea you little shit!" I pushed her as hard as I could which made her huge body fall with a loud thump on the ground.
"AAUURGH" The fat bully cried. "Get HER!"
Knowing that was my que I ran around the two other girls and dashed as fast as I could. I could have taken them down but...I didn't want my parents to find out that the next day their straight A's daughter had gotten expelled for rough housing.
"Don't run away you chicken shit!" The other girl yelled behind me.
That only made me run faster. How stupid. Unforetunetly I hadn't really been paying attention to where I was heading when I crashed into a guy. Both of us fell down as our heads collided.
"Ouch!" I yelled out in a huge headache that was forming. "Watch it!"
"YOU should have watched where you were going" I looked at him feeling more angrier by the second but all the anger I had in me just suddenly dissapeared. This guy...was really cute!
"Uhm..sorry" I stood up and held out my hand. The guy only smiled; which sort of looked like one of those movie star smirks that I always dreamed of seeing, took my hand and pulled himself up.
"No problem. Only an accident right?" He still had on that adorablly innocent look.
"THERE SHE IS!" The two ugly girls had found me which was really a bad timing.
"Oh crap.." I sighed knowing what will happen next. The girls would probably attack me and he'd end up saving me. Such a typical thing. But that didn't exactly happen.
"Hi there. Is something wrong?" The guy seemed totally unaware of what was going on. I looked at him as if shocked.
Suddenly the two girls didn't have their kill Shim JiYoon look but quickly changed their attitude into cutesy girliness.
"Oh you must be Kim Kibum...the new CUTE guy who came yesterday?" One of the girls asked him while she smiled innocently. A load of help that's going to be trying to get his attention.
"Is that what people are saying about me? Haha" Kibum gave a shy chuckle and turned to me. "So you girls friends?"
I was about to say no but the two magically had attached themselves to both my arms.
"Shim JiYoon is our best of friends!" They both chimed whlie squeezing harder on my arms.
"Ye-..yes." I tried to hide my pain behind a fake smile.
Their grip loosened after I had answered and Kibum nodded.
"See you around then JiYoon sshi" Kibum waved goodbye to the other girls as well. The girls giggled wildly and waved at him too.
After he was gone they quickly dropped the act and let me go.
"We'll leave it at this for now since Kibum oppa knows you already. BUT, you BETER NOT try to stick so close to him...or else!" The blonde haired pimple faced one looked me straight in the eye as if she was actually succeeding in threatening me.
"Whatever..." I scoffed. The two flipped their hairs as they walked away with their small hips desperately moving side to side.
This was...just another normal day for me. The whole scenario had made me late getting back home. My parents are probably going to yell at me, as usual.
I really hated being stuck at home so I always end up going off somewhere else with either my friends or by myself. Right after I got home I ran straight upstairs to my room and texted my twin brother JaeSung and my older brother Onew. I had called him that nickname since I was little so I can't help but not call him that. They should be together at some mall by now. I had texted them to meet me at the food court there. Soon as I was done with that I ran out the door again before my mother could ask where I was heading. I had gotten really good at this by now...avoiding my parents.
The breath of the chilly air had calmed me down a bit. I had on a hoody and skinny jeans which was the only thing I could find at the last minute. I checked my watch and saw that it was only 4:43 pm. Plenty of time till I have to go back.
I looked around as I walked through the crowd in the huge mall that had about everything in it. I could also see a lot of the people I knew from school hanging around. Most of them waved at me as I smiled back and walked on.
"There you are JaeSung!" I playfully slapped my twin brother's shoulder as he jumped from being surprised.
"Don't do that JiYoon! You know how that bugs me!" JaeSung ruffled my hair as I let out giggle.
"Oknew oppa!" I yelled and waved my arms around when I saw him coming from behind JaeSung.
"Damn it! I was going to scare him!" Oknew let out a groan.
"Oops. Sorry" I appolagized.
"It's okay. So where do you kids want to go?" Oknew put his arms around the both of us. "My young ones, are you hungry?"
"Stop saying weird things hyung" JaeSung complained.
"He always said weird and abnormal things. I've gotten used to it." All of us were having a good time but when we had walked past a store I saw a familiar figure in there. "Wait...I'll be right back" I walked away from my brothers and off to say hi to Kibum. "Hi"
"Oh! JiYoon. Hey" Kibum's face lighted up. "Funny..I just saw you like half an hour ago"
"Don't worry I'm not stalking you. I'm here with my brothers" I joked and luckily it had made Kibum laugh a bit as well.
"How many do you have?" Kibum asked while searching around to see if he could find them.
"Just two. One of them is my twin. Want to come with us. We're just walking around" I invited him trying to sound like it was just a friendly invite and nothing more. Kibum thought for a second and then agreed.
"I just hope they're nice" He joked but it didn't really sound like he meant it that way.
"Don't worry. They're nice. Also don't believe anything they say. They tend to get a bit crazy"
Kibum chuckled softly as I blushed a bit. I didn't care what those girls said. I really liked Kibum and I'm not chicken to like him either.
The rest of the day everyone had fun, especially Kibum. JaeSung and Oknew treated him as if they were friends since birth. Kibum and I had also become closer. At the end of the day we hugged him goodbye but the most awkward hug was between me and him. My brothers made smooching noises and I had wanted to kick their butts. Luckily Kibum wasn't bothered by it and only smiled shyly.
"See you tomorrow JiYoonie" Kibum said it while pinching my cheeks softly.
"Bye.." I blushed but tried to hide the embarrassment.
"I can tell you two like eachother a lot" JaeSung came up to me after Kibum was long gone and Oknew was in the bathroom taking a shower.
"I knew you would have known" I let out a tired sigh. "He's just so..."
"Cute?" JaeSung laughed knowing what I was thinking.
"That's obvious! But he's also very kind and calm and sweet and.."
"understanding and mature and blah blah! The list is long I know!" JaeSung mimicked my tone of voice as I gave him a glare.
"Don't make me hurt you" I warned him with a hint of laughter.
"A fifteen year old like you can't hurt a fly! Stick to the barbie stickers and ponies" This was one of our daily routine. Dissing eachother and then laughing about it after.
"At least I don't look like one!" I immediately regretted what I had said. JaeSung had already taken the chance to get back at me.
"We're twins! Don't be an idiot!" He cracked up while giving me a light noogie.
"I'm telling Oknew oppa!" I yelled out loud trying to break free. The fight died after a few minutes as we were all bored once again. Oknew had finally finished and now JaeSung was taking a shower.
"I heard from my friends that someone was bullying you. Is that true?" Oknew asked with a serious tone.
"It's nothing. I don't care about these things" I tried to sound cheerful but I knew that he knew me well enough.
"Where was Soo Yin at the time?" Oknew went on.
"She had to babysit her little sister. She doesn't even know about it" I replied. Soo Yin was my closest friend who had always cheered me up when I was down.
"You need any help just tell me next time okay?" Oknew smiled seeming back to his happy self.
"Okay!" I smiled and we high fived eachother. I know it was a bit tacky but that's just how he is.
"Also Kibum is too old for you!" He suddenly had changed the subject.
"What?!! No! He's only a year younger than you!" I protested.
"Yeah! He's 17! Waaay too old for you!" Oknew nagged on but I only ignored him. Just two years wasn't that big but in his big(imaginary) brother book that was like ten years.
"Goodnight!" I covered my ears while singing loudly and ran off to my room.
**Next week**
"JiYoon! You ugly fake! How DARE you go out with Kibum oppa?!!" The same fat girl was back with her two evil followers.
"We're not going out! What are you deaf?!" I argued back. It was about time I did something about them.
"Doesn't matter! We're going to mess you up so bad that no guy would be able to look at you!" The girl charged towards me with her claws ready to pounce on my hair but I had taken karate since I was four and by now I had been a black belt.
I had dodged her and had slipped my foot before her's so she tripped and fell once again with a loud thud.
"AAURRGH!" The cry of pain sounded familiar.
"Damn it..." I saw a teacher walk by but she hadn't noticed. "Got to go losers" I ran off before they could chase me.
After that incident there more many more. I decided to maybe avoid Kibum. I didn't want him to be troubled by his fangirls. So from then on I didn't talk to him or reply when he said hi or asked me a question. I'd only smile or nodd then walk away.
A few more days passed after that and I felt weak and depressed which was trouble for my brothers.
"JiYooniee! Stop being like this! You're making us feel gloomy!" Oknew whined with his head hung low.
"Come on JiYoon! He's just another guy!" JaeSung tried to cheer me up but failed.
"I'm fine.." I didn't even try to lie on that one.
"No you're not!" Oknew continued. "That's why we invited him over"
"WHAT?!" I shouted in shock right when the doorbell wrang. "Oh no.."
"Oh yes!" JaeSung snickered.
When the door opened I fixed my hair which was sort of messy.
Soon as Kibum appeared I felt happy once again.
"JiYoon!" Kibum smiled and rushed over to hug me which really shocked me. He had never done anything like this. "I've missed you" But as soon as he had noticed the awkwardness he backed away blushing.
"uuhh.." I couldn't really speak since it was really embarrassing. I felt my cheeks getting hot but this time it was in a good way. I wasn't angry. "I missed you too.."
"We'll leave you two love birds alone!" My idiot brothers chimed together and ran off giggling.
"Sorry about that" I scratched my head feeling even more nervous.
"It's alright. So how come you've been avoiding me?" Kibum asked seeming hurt. I couldn't lie to him so I told him everything. All the things about those girls and the rumours..."So that's why?"
"Yeah" We were seated on the couch in silence.
"JiYoon...you don't have to worry about me. I know I might not seem like the type but...I can really kick ass" Kibum spoke like that for the first time ever. I stared at him wide eyed but I felt really happy to hear that.
"You're kidding!" I almost laughed but held it in.
"No I'm not. I just don't see the point in conflict but if it's for you...I'll fight anyone" Kibum held onto my hand. My whole body felt hot my hands felt a bit sweaty by his touch.
"So you're saying..?" I urged him to continue.
"I like you. JiYooniee, I want you to be my girlfriend. Who cares when anyone says" Kibum lightly kissed my hand and peered at me sweetly. How could I not resist?!
"I feel the same..." I finally said after gathering up the guts. Kibum started to lean in and I tensed up knowing that he was going to kiss me...but then before our lips could meet...
"WHAT'S UP!" Oknew barged in and yelled out cheerfully coming in between our faces. I stopped in time but Kibum ended up kissing Oknew's cheeks! "Woah! Watch it dude!"
I let out an angry sigh as I glared at Oknew. Looking disgusted or just plain grossed out, Kibum wiped his mouth hard and stood up.
"I'll see you tomorrow JiYoon!" Kibum was red in the face as he was out the door the next second.
"Don't take this the wrong way but I think I got to him before you did" Oknew winked and started to laugh at his own lame joke.
"I hate you oppa!" I slumped down in my seat and moped once again.
"GREAT! WE'RE BACK TO WHERE WE STARTED!!" JaeSung cried out and shook Oknew wildly.
"It's the boy's fault for being too slow!" Oknew teased.
"My life stinks!!" I mumbled under my breath but I had been smiling.
Who cares what other's say. I love my life.
