Raymond sent Kevin home first as he walked around even more. Luckily for him there is a 24/7 convenient store so he won't starve through out the night. Raymond is determined to wait down at the Sheh's building through the cold night so he can explain. Showing that he is also very serious about getting back on the good side of Charmaine he wouldn't go home.
3:00 am in the morning Raymond read from his watch and when he looked up he saw four suspicious looking guys heading towards him. He moved over to the safety railing and leaned against it, watching them pass. When he lets out a breath of relief and his guard is down, a arm wrapped around his neck.
One of the guys pulled him over the safety rail and onto the ground but he broke free and fights back. Everytime he gets one guy off of him another jumps on his back and weighs him down. The number game comes into play sooner or later.
He gets thrown to the ground and stomped on. While lying on the cold pavement, they took his wallet and grabbed what little money he has left. "What? All that work just for $300 bucks?! This is bullshit!" One of them said throwing Raymond's wallet back in his face.
Raymond laughed hysterically at them as he spits out a small bit of blood from his mouth, "yeah thats right all that work for $300 bucks...hahaha. Fuck you dumbasses!" After finishing his sentence Raymond gets a quick kick to face, knocking him out.
Raymond opens his eyes to a world of darkness. He places his hand over his head as he tries to get up. Sharp stings is sent through out his body as he tries to move. Raymond wipes the blood from his mouth off and cleaned himself up with a kleenex.
Day light finally breaks as Raymond's eyelid starts to get heavey and its not just because of the beat down he got. Just another hour before Niki goes for her morning runs and then he can explain to her about everything. Kevin drives up in his car and called to Raymond.
Kevin handed Raymond a hot coffee to drink and asked him how the night was. Raymond laughed sarcastically saying that he had a great time, "I hope this will be all worth it! Cause I'll be damn pissed if I just wasted a whole night."
"Ray tell me did you really say what you did to Nancy?" Kevin asked with his most serious tone of voice he can conjure up. Raymond immediately shakes his head as he gave his explanation to his bestfriend who didn't really believe him. "Then why the shit did you ask me if you don't believe me?!"

Charmaine walks out of the kitchen with her cereal and milk in hand. For some odd reason she felt a force pulling her to the window. Charmaine peered out the open window and looked down to the dead street; from where she stands she thinks she sees Raymond downstairs.
Niki walks out of the bathroom and finds Charmaine halfway out the window, in a state of panic she ran to her and pulled her back in. She scolded Charmaine for playing around the window and pulled her over to the breakfast table.
"No wait sis, I didn't mean to do it but I think I see Raymond downstairs! Raymond must be here to see me, I'm going down there right now!" Charmaine said excitedly heading for the front door. Niki pulled her back and sat her down.
She popped her head out the window herself to verify Charmaine's story and sees two small figures that looks very much like Raymond and Kevin. Niki sighs as she moves away from it and back to the breakfast table.
Charmaine jumps around Niki joyfully because Raymond is just downstairs waiting for her. Niki calmed her sister down to eat first before doing anything else. As they started eatting their breakfast, Nancy comes walking out of her room with a grin on her face.
Niki stares down Nancy as she passes her to the kitchen, "whats this I hear? Raymond is downstairs? He must be waiting for me, he shouldn't of. That silly man of mine." Charmaine didn't hear her sister's little comment so she continues to retain her perfect smile.
Niki leaves her seat and goes into the kitchen closing the door behind her, "Nancy what are you doing? I don't know if what Ray said is true or not but don't say such things infront of Charmy. Your going to hurt her again. What has gotten into you sis? You've changed..."
Nancy's smile disappears for a split second, "look Niki, I may seem like the bad guy right now but trust me, you'll all thank me. Besides I honestly believe that Ray still loves me, and without being asked I obviously love him very much."
All that is on Niki's face is an obvious expression of confusion, "I don't care what is going on right now. I'm going to go downstairs and see what he wants. While I'm gone don't give Charmy any of that bull of yours." Nancy nods obediently as her relaxed smile returns to her face.

Raymond looks up from the ground when he heard footsteps coming his way. Immediately a smile appeared through the cuts and bruises on his face. Niki approached him at first angrily, but then turned into curiousity as she sees bruises on his face.
He waves it off and told her not to mind his minor injuries. Raymond started off by getting Niki calmed down before he tries to explain himself. Niki retorts with the evidence given by Nancy leaving Raymond speechless.
"Ray, your a great guy and thanks for giving Charmaine those happy memories. I guess you should go back to Nancy now, you don't have to explain anything anymore. How can someone actually love a girl like Charmaine? People will laugh at the man and they will make fun of the woman." Niki said sincerely.
Raymond shakes his head with disbelief, "damn it woman don't you get it? I'm not trying to break it off with Charmy, I want her to know that all this is a misunderstanding. I want her to know that I Raymond Lam, love Charmaine Sheh with all my heart."
Niki is touched by his words deeply but she has no way of knowing if he is for real or not. Especially with the evidence of him saying "Nancy I love you." Raymond stared at her hoping she will give him a chance to see Charmaine again and tell her his story.

Nancy sits on the couch watching television along with Charmaine, when a little act of evil came into her mind. She went and got the tape recorders she have in her room and took it out to the living room. Nancy attracted Charmaine's attention by flashing one of the two tape recorders she has in her hand.
When Charmaine is all hyped and ready to see what Nancy is going to do with the tape recorder, her joy got smashed when she hears what is in the tape. In one recorder Nancy has Raymond saying her name; in the other she had him saying "I love you."
Nancy has one of her recorders in her pocket and the other in plain sight; she plays it over and over again until she sees tears starting to build up in Charmaine's eyes. She stops once she sees it. Nancy walks over to her and give her fake comforting hugs.
Niki walks in through the front door after confronting Raymond and sees that Charmaine is crying. She rushes over to her side as Nancy steps away, "Nanc what did you say to her? What happened?" Nancy shrugged as she walks back into her room.
"Niki...what if Raymond really don't want me anymore? What should I do then? I really really love him. I heard his voice in that small box that Nancy showed me and he repeated over and over saying he loves Nancy..."
"Don't you worry about that Charmy just leave all this to me. I'll deal with Nancy. I'm positive that Raymond still loves you!" Niki said reassuring any doubts Charmaine may have. Charmaine nods her head and goes back to her room to dry her tears.
Niki sits on the couch being very still as she thinks about what exactly she should be doing to help Charmaine.
