“Gallen!” She called after him, but he seemed to have turned deaf, apparent from his disappearance into the crowd not long after.
“What happened?” Bowie questioned.
“No idea.” Flora gives a slight shrug and answers, her smile had apparently vanished.
She spotted the little package Gallen had left lying freely on the floor swiftly, and approached it to pick it up. she stared at the gift for a while before deciding to unwrap it carefully.
“Snoopy?” Bowie let out a soft chuckle. “Never knew Gallen loves soft toys.”
Flora held the Snoopy tight in her hands, practically squeezing it. There was a kind of indescribable feeling that had emerged in her heart. She stared at the toy, and looked up, soon entering a world of her own…

“Gor, give my Snoopy back to me!” The 7-year-old pleaded with her brother. “You always dirty it, give me back, give me…”
She ran after the then 10-year-old Moses, who simply refused to yield to her request. In the end, the toy fell out of the window. Flora had immediately rushed down to retrieve it, but to no avail. She still remembered well, it was a limited edition Christmas Snoopy given by her dad, and there were only 10,000 pieces distributed throughout the world.
Soon after her discharge from the hospital, Gallen had brought her back home and showed her the Snoopy he had got for her over the past one and a half year. She had wished to find another identical Snoopy she had lost 20 years ago, and Gallen had been trying hard to fulfill her wish. Though he failed to do so till now, she appreciated his care and attention he had showered on her.

“Flora!” Bowie called out, she snapped out.
“Yes?”
“What are you thinking about? Can we go now?” He asked.
“Uh, Bowie, sorry I need to go first.” Upon finishing her sentence, she ran towards the entrance. She ran and ran, her mind couldn’t think properly, her brain couldn’t operate normally. Her whole mind was in a whirl.
She finally reached the entrance. She looked around. Left, right, front, back. No signs of Gallen. A tint of disappointment filled her mind. She hailed a taxi and got into it, heading home.
But her mind, her heart, they wasn’t at peace. She didn’t know why she felt this way, she felt uneasy, unhappy. The taxi seems to travel forever, before coming to a stop when the traffic lights turned red. She looked out of the window, and thought she saw a familiar figure. She got off the car and approached the figure.
“Gallen!” She called out.
He turned around to face her. “Flora?” He was a bit surprised.
She smiled at him. He smiled back…

Jessica and Louis were strolling side by side on the streets after catching the 9.30 movie shown nearby. He wanted to hold her hand, but had not the courage to do so, therefore appearing a bit distracted.
“Emmm… the movie wasn’t too bad, huh?” He spoke.
“Uh… Yup…” She replied. “That’s lame!” She thought.
“Emmm…” He tried to speak again.
“I thought you talks a lot usually? Why so quiet today?” She looked at him.
An idea struck him. “I’ll bring you to somewhere.” He grabbed her hand and ran to his car.
“Where exactly?” She asked him curiously while hopping into his car.
“A place that will delight you!” He replied.
“Do you mean the dessert stall around your area?” She asked.
“How did you know?” He was a bit shock.
“So I’m right?” She asked again.
“Yup,” He didn’t expect her to guess it. “Am I not a bit creative?”
“But at least you know I love desserts!” She answered, smiling.
“And sweet things.” He added. When the car took a left turn, he spotted two persons standing near the roadside, seemingly trying to hitch a ride or hail a taxi. “Looks like somebody there need help.”
“Moses?” She spotted the man straightaway. “Quick, stop in front.” She told Louis.
Louis did as he was told, and got down to see if they need any form of help. Jessica followed suit.
“Jess? Can you please drive us to the hospital? She’s got an acute appendicitis.” He said worriedly to Jessica, holding the pale-looking Ada in his arms.
“Ok, quick, hop in.” Jessica opened the back door for them, and Louis helped them into the car and drove off after that.
Not long after that they reached the hospital. Moses sent Ada into the A&E, while Jessica and Louis were waiting outside for them.
“Didn’t expect our first date to turn out this way.” Louis sighed.
“Are you disappointed?” She asked.
“Are you? No desserts for you!” He made a face.
“Saving a life is more important than anything else. And that is my best friend, Mr. Koo!” She said. “We can always have desserts on another day.”
“You’re right.” He looked at her and said.
“Can you keep that stare of yours?” She said in a half-joking-half annoyed tone.
“Ok.” He whispered. “Give me a minute.” With that, he gave her a pat on the hand and scooted off.
“Hey!” Before she could make any response, he had vanished out of her sight.
“Jess,” Moses walked towards her.
“Moses, how’s Ada?” She stood up and asked him.
“They’ve arranged an immediate operation on her. I’ll stay here with her. You can go first, we’ve troubled you enough.” Moses said.
“Don’t say that! What are friends for? Unless you don’t treat me as one!” Jessica pretended to be offended.
“Oh, sorry, I didn’t mean that!” He replied.
Someone rushed towards them. “Gor, how’s Ada?” Flora held on Moses’ hand, with Gallen beside her.
“Having an operation soon.” He answered.
“What happened exactly?” She asked anxiously. “Can I see her now?”
“She’s still in the room waiting for operation. I’ll bring you there.” She followed her to the room.
Jessica smiled to Gallen. “You two are back together?” She asked.
“Umm, I don't know if that is considered together…” He smiled.
“Why?” She asked curiously.
“Ummm, I don't know how to start…” He was hesitating.
“What kind of a buddy are you? Quick, tell me!” She demanded.
From a corner, Louis saw Jessica having a nice conversation with Gallen, which had made him more or less jealous. He stood there quietly.
“Louis? Why are you standing there?” Jessica happened to spot him.
“Your boyfriend?” Gallen asked. Jessica didn’t answer and just smiled. “Ummm, I’ll take a look at them.” He excused himself.
“Having a nice chat?” Louis asked as he strolled towards Jessica and sat down besides her.
“Where did you go?”
“Ummm, to the washroom…” He stretches his hands.
“You look quite tired, why not have a break?” She suggested.
“And have a Kit Kat!” He flashed a bar of chocolate before her. “Snack for you!”
“Thanks.” She took the chocolate from him, and eyed him carefully. “Are you really tired? Why not we go first?”
“But…”
“It’s ok. Ada’s alright. She got friends and family to look after her.” She said. “But can you still drive?”
“Why not?” He put on a smile and stood up. “Let’s go.” He held her hand steadily in his and they went off.
